“My wife and I really enjoyed our experience here at this restaurant. I completely forgot that they had complimentary valet parking, so I parked a distance and we ended up walking. If there was one criticism I could make, it would be that the music being played did not fit the atmosphere.“
“Just got a drink, but menu looks good so I'll be back another time. Slow day so almost empty, just the bartender at the front. She made a great drink, an interesting twist on one of my favorites, the old fashioned. It was an Aztec Chocolate Old Fashioned. Pretty good, and an interesting take on the classic. Desserts sound great, cheesecake is the specialty so keep tabs out for the flavors of the week. Small place, definitely will get it overcrowded quick at high season. “First food review I’ve ever done because of how much I liked eating here.This place is a hidden gem! We are VERY picky about hot and sour soup. Chopsticks has some the THE best we’ve had. Reasonable prices, fresh food, and friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed dining in there. We had the General Tsos chicken, and it was crispy on the outside and tender inside. The sauce was terrific too. We will be eating here many more times.“
“My Brother and I come here for great Mexican food a few times a year. The service is great! “I was a little nervous about this place but that soon dissipated after a few drinks. I guess it was karaoke night which the crowd REALLY gets into. We took a table towards the back. Our server was real nice, very down home lady. Our drinks were well made and the prices weren't too bad. The atmosphere is blue collar and a lively crowd. Don't expect a red carpet, well, actually, I think it's maroon, so..yeah. Anyway, the place has quite a few fun characters hanging about. The waitress does an amazing job at karaoke and she gets the crowd cheering. The bar reminded me of a TRUE neighborhood type bar with a nice mix of young people, fun couples, and of course the karaoke stars/wannabees, which is nice. The four of us had drinks, a few shots, some good laughs all for around 70.00; that's prettty damned good. Sure, the place is rough around the edges, but hey, on a Saturday night, it was hopping. I'll def go back. Maybe next time I'll try the karaoke.OH, btway, the karaoke notebook needs better organization, it's my only gripe, well, and tell the man bartender to smile a bit more. “Went for dinner over the weekend and had an absolutely terrific experience ~ the service was excellent ~ our waitress was delightful and very helpful ~ when asked about a specific wine, she offered a sample and when she discovered the restaurant had run out of that particular wine that evening, she took it upon herself to select another wine that would pair well with my duck entrée and brought a sample ~ she was appropriately attentive and kind with a great personality ~ our meatball appetizer was very good and the homemade potato chips were perfect ~ I thoroughly enjoyed my duck entrée and my sweetheart loved his scallop dinner ~ the lighting, decor and overall ambiance was lovely and made our date night that much more special ~ we will definitely return to try the rest of their delightful menu and will be recommending Kanù to our family and friends!“
“Although I only ate there once while briefly living in Bangor; the food and service were great and the view was spectacular. I happened to meet the owner out walker her dog while on one of my daily walks along the river. A simple hello sparked a conversation, she was so kind and funny. I had no idea she was the owner until we got to chatting and ended up doing the river walk together that day. She lifted my spirits and if I still lived in town I would be a regular not just for the good food and service but to support such a kind human and her family.“
“The vegan meal we gad was excellent, and the staff and atmosphere were wonderful. They were kind enough to make a different appetizer than was on the menu due to peanut allergies. They also put a candle in my spouse's sorbet for their birthday, but didn't embarrass us by singing or anything like that.
