“The fried haddock sandwich we had here may have been the best meal we had in Maine, and that's saying a lot because we had a lot of fantastic seafood while in Maine. If you're thinking this sandwich is anything like any other fried fish sandwich you've had, you would be wrong. It's impossible to overstate how wonderful it was. And the views from our table on the deck? Some of the best anywhere! The only negative part of the experience was the very long wait. We didn't get there until almost 2 pm and still had to wait 45 minutes on a table. Then, the amount of time it took for our food to come out was also quite long. This lunch took up more of our afternoon than we had planned, which was unfortunate because we were only in Camden for a day. Nonetheless, it was still a highly memorable meal, and I would definitely go back again the next time we're in Maine.“

“Extraordinary and unlike any other restaurant in Maine. We found the establishment on our Michelin Guide portal, pretty much the only place recommended by Michelin in Maine. We enjoyed the lobster tasting, beautiful dishes of Maine lobster combined with south East Asian flavors. Service was attentive and knowledgeable .“

“I honestly can't understand why this gem isn't getting more attention. We have eaten there three times, and each time, the food has been out of this world. It's shocking that such a small, unassuming place knocks it out of the park in terms of bread (every single bread on the menu is FANTASTIC--last time we went, our table got one of each!), entrees, drinks AND baked desserts. If you want a stellar meal in a low-key atmosphere, you must go to Albatross. I sort of don't want the secret to get out, because I want to always be able to get a table, but this place should be packed every day.“

“I loved this restaurant so much that I ate here 2 of my 4 nights in Camden. They have such a wonderful menu that changes often. I ate outside each of my 2 times. They have a global menu that was very appealing including dishes from Brazil and Africa. The Spitzers were very refreshing. On my first visit I had the Marcequa (spelling) which was basically a stew with Haddock, shrimp and mussels in a coconut lime broth with jasmine rice and tomatoes. I loved it so much I went back another night. The whole menu looks great. The service was excellent. The only issue that I had was that my dish was priced on the menu as $35 but rang up as $38. When I pointed it out, they said that the menu changes (but the price??) and he didn’t offer to get the manager or anything. It still was great and if ever in the area, I’d go back!!
Things to note- Prices vary between menu and receipt. Bread and butter costs $4. The spritzers and the food are excellent!! Service very attentive!“
“Just spent 5 nights here & it was a great stay. Perfect location! Our room was Paris. It was beautiful with lots of pillows and the bed was so comfortable! Would definitely recommend & stay here again!“

“Excellent food in a beautiful location. The top notch attentive staff make you feel welcome. We eat at Salt Wharf almost weekly. By far, the best in the area.“
