“2nd Day of my return trip to Maine and my first visit to the South Portland Amato's this trip. Once again the ham Italian was out of this world , the bread was very soft and fresh and the vegetables were fresh and crispy and so delicious, Their blend of sandwich oil is the best I have ever had. I have eaten almost every sandwich on the menu and have never been disappointed“

“Just had a Large BLT and it was great: everything was fresh tasting. Just had their Sesame noodle salad last evening and it was great as well - bought more for this evening, Butterscotch pudding just right - not overly sweet. Customer service very good. Thank you.
Parking: Lot is small, but adjust your arrival to slower times and you are fine. They share the lot with Republic Cash.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not an issue.“

“I actually ordered the 29inch grilled sandwich for myself for my 6 day work week: $42. Ready for my pickup in 10 minutes. And already sectioned out for me into 4-5 inch sections. Add my own fresh veggies/salad and I'm done- minimum fuss & muss for a busy work week to be. This would also be a great treat to share with some coworkers or as a 'Thank you for your hard work." I mixed it up: Korean (Steak) BBQ, No 9 Steak, Steak/Cheese. Didn't think of taking photos - next time.“

“Just wanted to give shout out to the manager on duty this evening! I was in line with about 8 others when a women walked in and stood behind me. She had no mask. The manager stopped what he was doing and said “ma’am, you need a face mask on or you will need to leave the store.” I almost clapped. Thank you, just thank you! We need more of this happening!“
