“I'm a gluten free vegetarian so food options are usually really limited for me. These waffles were so good I couldn't believe they were gluten free. They have BBQ jackfruit and tofu as substitutions for all their meat too! I got the gluten free strawberry waffles with BBQ jackfruit and home fries. It was super yummy. I didn't love the BBQ jackfruit but my baby devoured it and wanted it over the waffles or fries so I'm betting it's a matter of preference“

“Our family had an amazing time at Gather last Friday. Krista was great to work with and helped organize a reservation for our party of 19 people. She was very accommodating and quick to respond to any requests. The spot is beautiful and the food was delicious. I think our group tried almost everything on the menu and everyone was very impressed. The food, drinks and atmosphere were all perfect. I would highly recommend for a date night or a private event. “The atmosphere is great in the hibachi area. There are tons of tables and a lot of chefs so you do not wait long for them to start at your table. The tables are smaller too which fit just our family making it a nice experience for our group. The chef made the night even better with his cooking skills and jokes. The food was great!! I wish I could remember his name Victor maybe? His catch phrase was “thank you for laughing” after most of the jokes which made it even funnier. Enjoyable night with our family!!“

“Normally I'd recommend the place but between the inconsistent quality and pricing as of late it's difficult to. It started off on high note when the store reopened as FVM, but has since started to fall back to what it had formerly been. Still my favorite place for italians but I'll unfortunately be ordering from elsewhere until things fall back in line. Update-2022: Expecting any level of quality from this place is still a joke. I still enjoy getting their food on occasion but I can't help but laugh at what I get. They're lucky for their location and lack of competition. This order will definitely be the last chunk of change I spend there. Burned food, scarce toppings, and little to no filler in a calzone described to have a generous portion of chicken in it. Speaking of the calzone, it was a chicken parmesan and it didn't even have any cheese! It's laughable really. I'd usually say they're a fair priced store but when they continue to cut back it's hard to even give them that much credit. Go in with low expectations and they might just exceed them if you're lucky enough.“

“This place is all right. They have a handful of different vendors and food places and there's a dining space upstairs. You would think this place would be packed and there'd be a whole bunch. More people in the weekends but always seems to be quiet and not all the vendors seem to be open at the same time.“

“We were pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was here. Had just got in from driving up to portland and didn’t really want to go out somewhere for dinner, so we stopped here. The pizza was fantastic. We got two smalls, the squash ricotta and cranberry, and a mashed potato bacon and scallion.

On paper, these do not sound like they would work on a pizza, but wow. Crust was still crunchy, and the flavors really worked together.

I didn’t realize they were a chain, and was thoroughly impressed.“

“OTTO offers a clean, trendy eating experience with local beers on tap. The staff during my visit was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. I decided to go with the Margherita pie - which turned out to be a great decision. The pie featured an ultra-thin base that was browned nicely by the oven. The fresh, juicy tomatoes were well distributed and did not slide when eating slices. The crisp exterior on the thin crust added a great crunch. The fresh basil ribbons and the spicy herb blend added to the cheese carried a ton of flavor. There are many other pizza options available at OTTO, including gluten-free and vegan options. I will definitely be returning so that I can work my way through the rest of the pizza menu.

“Absolute comfort food. I've been a fan of these folks since they opened at this location years ago and I lived a few blocks away. Since I now live out of the state, I now enjoy bringing friends here when I return.I know they have a great, broad menu of items and you could pick a winner with any of them, but man - I've always been in love with The Old Port - a simple pepperoni pizza. Everything about it has been consistently "just right" over the years (ratio of ingredients to one another, doughiness, overall flavor). It even reheats like a champ when I've had to do that.Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Sure, that's the case with people... but when it comes to pizza like this? Doubly, if not more, so. I'm already waiting for my next trip back to get a pie one evening.“

“Good food! If we lived closer, we'd be regulars. We started with the Burnt End nachos. I had the quesadilla with brisket and my partner had the pulled pork sandwich. All of the food was great.

FYI to the boss: we came in after the lunch rush. There were two people working the front, Lila and Ryan. Lila took excellent care of us and also bussed and wiped down 6 tables, refilled sauce containers, and did some work in the back. The entire time we were there, Ryan made 3 drinks and moved some glasses around at the bar, but most of the time stood visiting with his arms crossed. Y'all need to give Lila a raise or a bonus or something. She was awesome. We noticed the dynamic and asked her about it; she didn't mention it.“

“Some of the best pizza in Portland. Flavors and options are always great. The inside has a nice ambiance if you’re going on a date. The only confusing thing, and maybe I’ve just gotten bad luck, but the service is sometimes sub-par. I wolnt let it take a star away, however, this is an area they could be more consistent on. I think it’s because they don’t have a dedicated server so the cashier/pizza maker ends up taking orders and they maybe are not trained in customer service. And they are busy with their other tasks so not always on top of checking when people come in.

“Happy to say tonight was a great night to go out to dinner. Upon arrival, the bartender was acting as host, server and over all cheer squad for the restaurant. We were greeted promptly as she was busy assisting a person picking up an order and seating another couple. We sat in the bar at a hightop. She followed us over with menus and asked us about drinks. Throughout our visit she was a checking in with a bubbly personality and vibrancy that was refreshing. Our food came out as ordered, which can be tricky with my dietary changes, and it was hot and delicious! She was Johnny on the spot with refills and smiling every time she came by. I couldn't remember her name but the receipt said Blake. If that's correct I give you props! Thanks for making a rainy night enjoyable 😉“
