“Our pizza, BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza was amazing. The size of our Fried Dough was that of a small pizza and it was quite delicious. We met the owner, Dante, who is friendly and very human. It was disappointing to my wife and I that on a Sunday afternoon, we were the only one's in the restaurant for over 45 minutes. That is a shame, every time I eaten here, the food and service have been outstanding.Next time I'm in Maine, this is one of my stops. Well done Dante!“
“This was some of the best Chinese food my family and I have had in a long time. The food was hot , fresh and packed with flavor.I purchased a #31 : chicken fingers , egg roll , and I substituted the steak for chicken teriyaki on a stick. I also purchased an order of pan fried Peking Dumplings. The meal came with a good amount of pork fried rice, which was very good. The chicken fingers were pretty standard. The egg roll was AMAZING. I could barely fit it in my mouth, it was crunchy and filled with delicious vegetables. I could have eaten only those and been happy. My favorite part of the meal was the pan fried Peking Dumplings. It's not often I find a place that makes them just right and this place NAILED IT. The outside was a combo of crunchy and chewy, the inside was loaded with flavorful soft meat and juices that poured out with every bite . I couldn't have asked for a better dumpling experience. I noticed the teriyaki steak on a stick was a reddish hue so I had a sample of my nieces. It looks and tastes like the same sauce that they put on the spare ribs and it's been a very long time since I have seen a Chinese Restaurant use that on the teriyaki steak. It was very good, the steak was so soft , the end of it that wasn't held up by the stick flopped down. The service was a 3 due to us being rushed to order by two different people in the beginning. The establishment was not busy at all and didn't get busy the entire time we were there. They also forgot to make the two #27s that we ordered for the kids. We were being patient and thought that it was taking extra time to cook , however , the adults were half way finished their meals and nothing was brought out for the children. The establishment was clean , the staff was friendly, they gave the adults real chopsticks (not the disposable kind) to use and they even gave one of the kids a special pair of chopsticks. The total was 136 dollars for a family of 6 (4 adults and two children). Each of us picked a combo meal off the lunch special , we ordered several appetizers , and two adults had an alcoholic beverage. I do wish there was a kids menu.I will be back for those Peking Dumplings and egg rolls!Kid-friendliness: No kids menu , staff forgot the kids food , staff was eager for us to order when we arrived , despite our efforts to do it in a timely manner with the kids. Dine in was not busy at all and didn't gain any momentum while we were there.“
“Dog Friendly outside!New England Fishmongers is a gem for seafood enthusiasts. Offering fresh fish and affordable prices, it's a go-to spot for anyone craving quality seafood. With its cool atmosphere and commitment to freshness, New England Fishmongers is a standout destination for those seeking the best catch in town.“
“This place is pretty rad. My gf and I were looking for a cool spot for lunch (she's vegetarian, I'm not) and we found this joint. Sat at the bar, our server Lindsey was present but not looming, helpful but not pushy and kinda funny. Cocktail menu seemed new w names like "almost summer" and a solid beer list. The menu is broad enough that there were MANY options for each of us, and the portions were average to large. Whoever said the portions were small needs to stop ordering off the kids menu. Good music that you can recognize but always in the background. Just a cool, funky joint w great food. Eat here.“
“Great food and some unique combinations of ingredients. Spinach salad was excellent. Very tasty roasted garlic dressing. Had the stuffed sole special. Sauce was a lemon caper which over powered the delicate fish although my friend loved it. Tight seating so not much privacy between tables. We got there just before 5pm on a Thursday in March and place was almost full. They don't take reservations so go early.Parking: Small parking lot for restaurant. Street parking available“
“Our food was great as chef perfectly accommodated my request for light garlic in the shrimp scampi. My wife loved her stuffed haddock. These were part of the Sunday special: good sized entree and blueberry pie for $18 which is cheap for just the entree alone. Nice decor and our server Shannon was fantastic. We'll be back!“
“We've stopped here before and it was great so we made a return trip and all I can say is WOW!!! The spicy guava chicken sandwich was PHENOMENAL! I can't forget about the yuca fries that were so delicious! Thanks for a TASTY lunch!!!“
“Food was absolutely excellent, people behind the counter and serving were polite, helpful, and fast, the place itself was nice. Chill music, surprising amount of plants around the area, comfortable furniture, and specifically nice bathrooms both in decor and cleanliness. 100% would recommend this place.“
“We made it a summer adventure to try most of the ice cream shops in our area and Red Rover was next on the list. They had a short list of housemade flavors. Mint oreo was swell, and POG or passion fruit orange guava was quirky. A fun stop on our walk to the jazz band at Prescott Park.“
“Don't drive by. This is worth the stop. We had lunch - North Country Canadian Bacon, Turkey, Cabot Cheddar, Maple Mustard, Lemon Aioli & Lettuce on Borealis Bread, Wrap or Udi's GF Bread sandwich and my husband had a salad with fresh greens and fresh turkey and a balsamic dressing. All made in house. They even roast their own coffee and make their own tea blends. Their bakery items - scones and cookies looked amazing. We'll be back!“
“Bridgette is amazing. She has such great energy and personality. Quality atmosphere and aesthetic. All around amazing place. Been here many times and never fails to impress. Highly recommend if you’re in the Portsmouth area and want a small place to enjoy good food and friendly staff.“
“A nice find for an early lunch. I had #1 chicken and pesto sandwich and my friend ordered a breakfast sandwich. We enjoyed our sandwiches very much, mine had nice soft bread and was very tasty. The place is quite busy for a Saturday. Will definitely come back!“
“On a cold weekday, I decided to head to the Soupery to satiate a craving for chicken noodle. The location is wonderfully walkable if you work in downtown Portsmouth. Service was quick, friendly, and helpful when they ran out of the full amount of one ordered soup. My officemate and I traded bites and all the kinds we ordered were delicious and had that great homemade quality. Not much to say about ambiance because there's an ordering window and that's it! You won't have to stand in the cold long!“
“Stopped at this Jen while exploring the downtown area of Portsmouth NH. Bright atmosphere, super helpful & kind employees, and a perfect menu. Light bites, smoothies, bagels, salads & sammies..oh you're a vegan? No problem -- they've got you covered too. I appreciate the local products too. Pretty extensive coffee & tea line up. Iced Coffee on tap.....either I don't get out much or that's pretty rad.“
“Had a great time tonight which included amazing cocktails(Spicy Margherita), dinner(Nam Jam Haddock) and dessert(chocolate flourless cake)!!I need to eat gluten free and there were many options. Service was great, they didn’t rush us and we enjoyed a three hour dinner, where we could relax in an open atmosphere.“
“Great breakfast/lunch diner...Joe if your listening...I bet this place would be great for late night breakfast dinning on Weekends. It is understandable for restaurants were to shy away from the late night intoxicated crowds it would draw, not to mention overcoming staffing issues. It just seem like Portsmouth has no late night options other than Gilly's and the Canolli place on Congress St, and neither offer sitdown service“
“Food, drinks, & service so consistently amazing, that I'd consider moving out this way just to have this be our "usual" Mexican restaurant, could we afford the move. It's. That. Good. !!!We've been here maybe half a dozen times in as many years. Every time we're just blown away. The margaritas are refreshing & so flavorful (try the habanero margarita with cilantro - you're welcome ?). We tried the salsa flight this last time, no idea why we've never done that before but they were all SO FLAVORFUL, & we love their thick, salty chips. ?This last time I got a tofu taco, a masa fried shrimp taco, & a pescado taco (fried). The flavor combinations were incredible...!!! So unique, perfectly balanced, unlike anything I've ever had before, in the best possible way. [$6 each for such incredible tacos is ? worth it, IMHO. Totally competitive pricing. Regularly pay $5 per taco elsewhere & they're nowhere near as good, so $6 per taco here is perfectly reasonable.]Service has always been super friendly & fast. They're always up to giving recommendations & we're never disappointed!Really my only complaint is how tight the tables are. I know it's an old Friendly's but we really feel quite squished in the booths, even with our small children with us. Would be quite uncomfortable with two adult couples in one booth. This is nit-picky though, obviously it would be a huge undertaking & a massive expense to shut down & renovate, & really, the food is so gosh-darn good that I really don't care, it's not like it's gonna keep us from going back.Their chef was nominated for a James Beard award - I believe it! ?Cannot recommend highly enough! ?“
“The sushi here is fantastic, with an emphasis on the Chef's special rolls. They have some classic combos, but some of their unique creations will blow you away. I tried the No. 456 Roll tonight and it was incredible. I've tried the hibachi in house and also "to-go" and the portions are great, food is great both ways. This place is a blast especially with a large group.“
“Good location and fun atmosphere. Cool promotions and food specials. Ample beer assortment. Friendly owners and staff. Kind of a sports bar vibe. Reasonable prices. It would be better with more space, but that's true of many fine establishments. We'll be back!“
“The first time I came here was the morning of my wedding! I am thankful to have had a wonderful meal here on that morning. I’ve been a couple times since then and really have enjoyed the food and the service. I get a salad with various toppings. No seed oils in dressings! All ingredients seemed very fresh and the entire establishment has been meticulously clean each time I’ve visited(you would not believe how many other restaurants and cafes out there smell dirty as soon as you walk in, which causes me to turn around and walk out.)Delicious juices also. I hope this place keeps their good, fresh ingredients, clean store and good practices. And their friendly service! ✨“
“First off as soon as you walk in you are greeted very Respectfully. We were in a 6 person group and everything we had was fantastic. Some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time. Pasta was made in house and fresh and the ficcocia bread was fresh and amazing. Will come here again for sure when visiting.“
““Wow! My recent dining experience was absolutely fantastic! Despite there being an event happening, I was pleasantly surprised that the noise level decreased significantly as we passed by the bar. The food quality was top-notch. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing and enjoyable meal. Highly recommend this place!“
“This local seafood establishment offers friendly, attentive service in an easy-going atmosphere. One of us tried the clam sandwich which, while tasty, would have benefitted by a piquant sauce or salsa--just a personal suggestion. Another really enjoyed a bowl of seafood chowder what was rich with a variety of marine creatures and a creamy base. I enjoyed the fish tacos with a pineapple salsa. The fish was perfect in taste, flavor and texture while the salsa was divine. I wish we lived closer because I'd come back for the fish tacos again and again.“
“I liked this place. For an appetizer, we had the California Fries, which were very good. For a main meal I had the Taco Salad which was also very good. For a drink, I had a sangria. Not the best that I have had. The atmosphere was friendly, relaxing, and fun. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. I definitely recommend Loco Coco's.“
“Absolutely fantastic! A nice warm twist on an apple cider and chai tea! A delicious sandwich. Wonderful service with cute seating outside an adorable gift shop. Highly recommend stopping to grab a treat and beverage before browsing for unique gifts!“
