“We got this as a snack to go. They don't offer single slices, pies only. Counter man was friendly. Atmosphere had some shady folks hanging around but they look like they meant well. Pizza was amazing, I wish we could've had 3 pies hehe but I'm trying to watch my figure. I'd come back here but next time I'm getting more food!“

“I am 80 years old and I am pleased to announce that I've just had the most perfectly constructed, looking, and tasty pizza I've ever had. And, I have had them on 4 continents. It was a 16"chicken and spinach on a perfect crust. It wasn't thin. Nor was it doughy. Just perfect. And so were the sauces and finishing. And, lastly, there were both ample chicken and spinach to fill us up. Absolutely, perfect. Amatos, Washington Ave. Portland. This is a company to invest your appetite in.“

“The food was delicious, cocktails were good, and atmosphere was awesome. Bar staff and patrons were friendly and welcoming. We ate in restaurant area, food was a little slow and if you do the salad I'd suggest some of the extras (cheese etc). Even with slower service/ok salad, the atmosphere and flatbreads made up for it. I loved that you can do half and half on any size! Make sure you're going for the flatbread, not much else on the menu but they are so good!

“I have been going here since I was very young. Maria has always been the hardest dedicated worker I've ever met. She always made the pizza perfect. Always recommended. I watched Maria's kids grow up into young adults and work there as well. Be in soon Maria“

“I love the aroma as soon as I open the door. It brings me back to my Italian upbringing. Today, which is my birthday, I am spending it alone. I decided that I needed olive oil, and a pizza. Off to Montes! There is a blonde girl who is always smiling, and there to greet you. Today we had a conversation about the olive oil. When the pizza was finished, she hand delivered me the pizza with a chocolate torta on top of the box. I was so surprised, and appreciative of her doing this! She completely made my lonely birthday! (At 57 we really only want to forget birthdays anyway!) There is one more thing she would never know! I just laid my mother to rest on Friday. It’s been a different week to say the least. Especially when your Italian mother would call you first thing in the morning to sing happy birthday to you year after year. Sometimes things just happen for a reason. Thank you again! “Wow! Calafia was a perfect venue for our birthday celebration. Six of us were very comfortable in their cozy banquet corner which was just right for our gathering. The restaurant is beautiful with an alluring glow and a casually sophisticated vibe. Every cocktail and dish was delicious, prepared perfectly with really fresh ingredients and outstanding flavors. Generous portions and great service. Calafia is a gem in Portland’s West End!“

Fond memories of slab from great beer events held during Maine Beer Week years ago. Along those lines, you could always count on a great taplist with beers from Maine and further. This was a favorite spot of my wife and I to grab some slab style pizza with a brew. Their thin crust pizzas were solid as well, but my favorite food option here has always been the meatball sandwich. It seems to be tough times for many Portland restaurants so if you have favorites spots go out and support them! Thanks for all the memories slab!“

“The cheeseburger sub and chicken tenders were very tasty. Good size portions and the food was ready in about 10 minutes. Corsetti's was a really nice surprise. We were just looking for something quick while driving around in the area and they made us a really good dinner for only about $20. We will definitely be ordering again!“

“We rented the newer private space for a function (wedding welcome reception) in June 2024 and Brickyard Hollow Brewing was the perfect space! The pizzas were delicious and the private event space came with staffed bartenders and a full bar. This was a great space at a very reasonable price for having >70 people gather in Downtown Portland on a summer weekend night. They were super accommodating and I would recommend for stopping by or a event space rental!“

“We were pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was here. Had just got in from driving up to portland and didn’t really want to go out somewhere for dinner, so we stopped here. The pizza was fantastic. We got two smalls, the squash ricotta and cranberry, and a mashed potato bacon and scallion.

On paper, these do not sound like they would work on a pizza, but wow. Crust was still crunchy, and the flavors really worked together.

“OTTO offers a clean, trendy eating experience with local beers on tap. The staff during my visit was incredibly friendly and the service was quick. I decided to go with the Margherita pie - which turned out to be a great decision. The pie featured an ultra-thin base that was browned nicely by the oven. The fresh, juicy tomatoes were well distributed and did not slide when eating slices. The crisp exterior on the thin crust added a great crunch. The fresh basil ribbons and the spicy herb blend added to the cheese carried a ton of flavor. There are many other pizza options available at OTTO, including gluten-free and vegan options. I will definitely be returning so that I can work my way through the rest of the pizza menu.

“Absolute comfort food. I've been a fan of these folks since they opened at this location years ago and I lived a few blocks away. Since I now live out of the state, I now enjoy bringing friends here when I return.I know they have a great, broad menu of items and you could pick a winner with any of them, but man - I've always been in love with The Old Port - a simple pepperoni pizza. Everything about it has been consistently "just right" over the years (ratio of ingredients to one another, doughiness, overall flavor). It even reheats like a champ when I've had to do that.Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Sure, that's the case with people... but when it comes to pizza like this? Doubly, if not more, so. I'm already waiting for my next trip back to get a pie one evening.“

The cold brew wasn’t anything spectacular but it was better than what you’d get at places like Dunkin’. The chai latte was overpriced and very watery so that was disappointing. Parking is also ridiculous so that is a pain. If the drinks were better and it was less crowded it would get a 5 star. I would come back again though.

We were trying to save money and there wasn't any good food in the portion of Boston we were at for a concert so on the way back we ordered some pizza and some brownies. The pizza was really good and it actually tasted better than dominos, I was really surprised! Definitely will order again sometime“

If you're traveling in Portland and either don't like seafood or are simply looking for an inexpensive alternative, this is the place for you.
The price/performance ratio is great.
The service was excellent and always attentive.
Only the interior is a bit spartan - there is still room for improvement.

“I’ve had the pleasure of knowing both the owners, Raph and Carlos for a few years now. You can NOT ask for more hardworking, friendly dedicated men than these two!! The food is PHENOMENAL!!! It’s absolutely DELICIOUS and I am 100% not just saying that because I know them. I have never and will never leave a review that isn’t my own opinion. Our local house of pizza in Waterboro,(hope I don’t get hate for saying my own personal opinion) used to be okay. The food there for a few years now sucks SO bad!! This Westbrook one is so FREAKING yummy!! I do wish they were closer to me because of order every week!!! The wonderful owner before knew her stuff and did an amazing job is now retired relaxing and enjoying herself. This place is always busy and there’s a reason why!! I’m so happy she chose these two gentlemen to purchase and take over and continue her legacy but adding their flare to it!! If you haven’t eaten here you are MISSING OUT!!!“

“Solid Neapolitan pizza with both traditional and more creative toppings. The location is a bit bland with no distinct feeling or character. Food is great though perhaps a bit over-hyped to say it's the best in Portland as some claim. Overall a worthy addition to Portland's pizza scene.“

I ordered a Pineapple, Bacon & Hot Honey small pizza. It was one of the BEST pizza's I've ever eaten!
