“This place is a MUST! Over the week we have been in Bar Harbor we have ate at A LOT of places, Tap & Barrel is hands the best meal I’ve had here by a long shot. Marina was super knowledgeable and gave 15/10 service! You will not regret stopping here and grabbing a bite to eat or even just some drinks!“

“Super fun oyster bar in the heart of Bar Harbor. Oysters are local, fresh, and delicious. Other bar snacks were just has great - especially the brie and pretzel. Great fun place to sit at the bar and hang out for a few hours in the late afternoon.“

“We had the best time and best food here! My sister and I and our families and my two pups all ate dinner here on August 16th, 2024. Our service was excellent and the food was SO good. My pups were greeted and given a bowl of water and enjoyed the smoked turkey off dog menu too! Solid selection of local beers and nice variety of cocktails to choose from too. I would highly recommend checking this place out. There’s also an ice cream shop right next door, if you happen to not be too stuffed after your meal!“

“I was hesitant about taking my young family here, but the loft did not disappoint! It's a new family favorite in Bar Harbor, and I have converted to loving seafood and the raw menu because of the loft! The ahi tuna nachos were a hit all around and a big recommendation to try! We can't wait to go back! The staff and food was amazing, and they even catered to my two children (1yr and 4yrs old).“

I was last here probably almost 22 years ago, and we're both so happy that God made us turn into the parking lot on our trip further north. Thanks for a great dining experience.“

“July 2026. We stopped in for two cocktails and lunch. Cocktails were very good and not short on alcohol. Sat outside along sidewalk, and the view was great. Service was professional, right down to uniformed wait staff, commensurate with a five star joint. We shared the corned beef Ruben which was excellent. Shaved thin, fat attached, with an excellent horseradish mustard dressing. Excellent spiced, but not spicy, fries.“

The donuts were slightly crispy on the outside which is chef’s kiss on experience. Visit here for a wonderful experience with friendly staff. Added points for the old school hip hop and R&B crankin.“

“Slice of Eden made our wedding cupcakes last year and they were fantastic! We had half of them made as chocolate with Swiss buttercream icing and half blueberry lemon cupcakes with whipped cream icing. They were a huge hit and gone so fast! We decided to have them make us a small blueberry lemon cake with whipped cream icing for our anniversary this year since we did not have one to save from our wedding. They knocked it out of the park! I can’t say enough good things about this place!“

“Great place to get dinner with a fantastic view of the water. My wife and I came on a Monday evening around 7pm with no reservations and had a table in about 10 minutes. Cocktails were great and we enjoyed a steak and potatoes after a long day of hiking. Would recommend to anyone traveling in Bar Harbor.“

“Wicked awesome to find a restaurant that has great food, is reasonably priced (for Bar Harbor) and also caters to food allergies! “Absolutely amazing dining experience! The menu isn’t huge, but the food is absolute perfection. From delicious appetizers, wonderful, entrées, and delicious desserts. We’ve lived in the area for over a decade, but just tried Ironbound for the first time on Labor Day weekend, and we will definitely be back!“
