“LOVED eating here. It was our first time in the area and my husband and I are considered buying some property nearby. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful and talked to us about his experience living in Maine. He also heated up my apple cider, which was an extra step on his part. The menu has a variety of options and almost all of the ingredients are locally sourced. We had sweet potato biscuits and gravy and the pork sandwich (I think). Both were so good and my husband is a little picky. The inside of the restaurant was lovely and everyone who worked there greeted us and said goodbye as we left. The outdoor space looks very nice as well. This spot is definitely worth a try, even if you're just passing through.“

“I have eaten at Darby's a handful of times and the food has always been fresh and delicious! I eat whole foods plant based and I find it very easy to find something to fit that way of eating. The vegetarian chili is wonderful!“

“Such a wonderful place to stay! My cousins and I take a trip each year and this year we visited Castine, Maine. We stayed for several evenings at the Pentagöet Inn and were treated to such a magical location. The atmosphere is majestic, the rooms are so clean, nice and personal touches with so many details creating an environment catered to guests comfort, and the Inn is decorated in time piece antiques paying homage to the history of the Inn. The dinner menu is so delicious and made with wholesome home grown or locally sourced ingredients with an emphasis of pleasing anyone’s palate. And then the specialty drinks! Wow! And to top it all off. The in room massages by Jenny! We cannot wait to go back next year!!!
