“Great tasting gyros. We tried both chicken and lamb gyros and they were great. The salad with Greek dressing was so fresh and delectable. Don't forget the baklavas warm with sweet honey and nuts. Highly recommended.“

“Their lobster rolls are AMAZING, huge and delicious. Their French fries and coleslaw are the best. We got ours “to go”. Everything is packed separately: lobster meat in PINT-SIZED containers, coleslaw, French fries and two rolls (there’s more than enough lobster to fill two rolls). They deserve 10 stars, but 5 stars is the limit.“

“Had a Valentines dinner, and everything was well executed, with attentive service without being fawning. The meatball app was tender, flavorful and accompanied by balanced marinara. The lobster bisque was outstanding. The filet was perfectly cooked, and the sauce and potatoes were worthy costars. Typed off with a miso butterscotch creme brulee that was simply unctuous. We look forward to trying the full menu.“

Our lobster rolls were out of this world, the woppie pie dessert was great, and the service tonight was excellent. This place is super convenient for dining during an overnight stay, and the food is way better than what the reviews show.“

“We decided to head out for the comfort food buffet at the Old Town Governor's Restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at the choice of dishes that were out. Everything was hot and fresh and immediately replaced when low. The coleslaw was very tasty, but I do wish that they would include a lettuce salad. I am not really a sweets person, but the desserts included in the buffet were super good. All in all, very impressive for a buffet. We will be returning.“

We also got a piece of Apple pie to share which was a large slice. Entrees we saw go by our table really looked good. Will plan to have dinner here next time we visit the casino. “NStopped in with my fiancé and two teenagers for a casual dinner. We ordered a mix of dishes — two chicken parms, a California chicken salad, and a fried chicken entrée — and everything was solid for a chain restaurant. No wait to be seated, and our food came out in about 20 minutes.
Our waitress was a standout — prompt, attentive without being overbearing, and never let a drink go empty. With a couple of cocktails between us, the total came to around $140–$150 for four people, which felt reasonable.

“This place is really a hidden gem, I have been in the food industry 18 years and I am kinda fussy when it comes to food. Well I am here to tell you the fried fish here has to be the best around. Not to mention the pizza is fantastic and a favorite of mine the poutine. Another popular item by the locals is “Lisa’s famous fried clams” those are also vary tasty. But the most amazing thing was the personalized service from Brian, the manager - let me explain - After dinner we started the arduous"trek" down Rt. 9 back home to Eastport. It wasn't until Monday morning that I realized I had left my wallet there. To make a long story short, Brian went beyond "the call of duty" and sent my wallet back via Fed. Ex. on his day off ! “I love geaghans. Their food is very good pub faire, with the boneless wings and the homemade pub cheese a standout. I wish the reserve sauce was still an open secret menu option. The beer is made locally, all quite good. Special shout-out to their ciders, big fan of those.

The bar area is great and the atmosphere is really good. Friendly folks and there is always something going on. The restaurant area is nice, too, but a much calmer atmosphere. I feel it's outdated, but maybe that's part of the charm. Nothing to reduce the final rating though.“

The restaurant and the rest rooms are spotless and the restaurant is managed efficiently . For us, it is all about the service. Robin is always welcoming and friendly. She is super knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and does a phenomenal job multi tasking as the bartender tender and server. She does it effortlessly and always with a smile. “Overall, a decent place. It was quite empty when I visited. I was the only non hotel patron there. I wasn't exactly sure if I should wait to be seated, as the server was in a different room when I got there, but once I sat down he came back in and his service was pretty good. Very chill and welcoming. The food itself is a little expensive for what they offer, but not terrible. The menu is super small. As in one side of one page for food small. I tried the mac n' cheese. Without the pulled pork, the actual mac was very creamy and tasty. The pulled pork was ok, but it was a sourer bbq than I'm used to. They had college football on that I was able to watch which was cool.“

Great, see you in 25 minutes. How'd they do?? Sauce all over the top....it was marina but I specifically asked for the sauce to be on the bottom. Even the tag in the pizza box was correct. When I called them to complain as this is the SECOND time this has happened (first time we didn't call) the manager (who also made this pizza) made all kinds of excuses, this is how we do it, we don't make them with no sauce on the top, try calling in your order next time vs doing it online (this was a call in order not online), maybe explain it better next time, maybe tell them you want it made in the reverse order.... In the end, we still have this pizza, not guaranteed a refund and they've lost us as a customer!! $51 plus a $5 tip for this pizza & a gluten free. I just checked my bank account and I'm not seeing a charge yet so maybe she did refund after we hung up but not sure yet. Very poor customer service, especially by the manager!!“

“Everything was perfect, love this place!“

“Stopped on the way back from Canada. I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious. Full of chicken and veggies with a fantastic crust. Very light and flaky. My friend had the thanksgiving sandwich and she raved about it. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. My only complaint is that they do not have the Purple Pie anymore. It was a blueberry pie with a crumble crust and most of the proceeds went to help the Alzhiemer's Association. It was unbelievable!!“

“I stop here every time I am in Bangor, ME. I have NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL HERE !!!!!! Breakfast is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME from the Biscuits and Sausage Gravy to the Pancakes and Bacon and they also have REAL MAPLE SYRUP to go with your breakfast. I have been coming here for about 40 years now and this place is still FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED and the Staff is ALWAYS FRIENDLY and COURTEOUS !!!! From the Sit down Truckers Oy Table to the General Public part of the restaurant this place is an absolute DIAMOND !!!!!!
The restrooms are what’s kept clean and well stocked and the Showers are older and could use an upgrade but they too are ALWAYS CLEAN and well Maintained !!!!!!
Just what a GOOD OLD FASHIONED TRUCKSTOP ISE TO BE AND STILL IS !!!!!! The big chain Truckstops could damn sure take a few lessons from the crew at DYSARTS !!!!!! And on the Second Shift they also have FULL SERVICE FUEL & GAS ISLANDS and I’m not sure if there are any others in the USA or if Dysarts is possibly the last one around !!!!!!“
