“Their lobster rolls are AMAZING, huge and delicious. Their French fries and coleslaw are the best. We got ours “to go”. Everything is packed separately: lobster meat in PINT-SIZED containers, coleslaw, French fries and two rolls (there’s more than enough lobster to fill two rolls). They deserve 10 stars, but 5 stars is the limit.“

“This was my first visit to Maine! I'm glad I got to have a quick lunch at Governor's. The onion rings with horseradish sauce were just wonderful! I also had the haddock chowder. It was delicious ?. The haddock sandwich was good, but a little one note. It could have used some additional flavor and texture. Overall though, it was a really nice lunch. And the bakery items looked amazing!!“

“This is a cafe run by students in the culinary arts program at EMCC. It is strictly by advance reservation. But, at the beginning of the semester, sign up for the list. The food takes on a different theme each month and as food goes, this is FABULOUS!!“

“Fonda was incredible, the place was very busy and she was all by herself taking care of bar and dine-in guests. She was so kind and handled all of her guest really well. And Lori in the kitchen made one of the best steaks I’ve ever had and the meal came so quick. Truly for a hotel restaurant (that commonly get a bad rapport), this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Would certainly recommend to anyone staying at the hotel or going to the Bangor airport.“

“What a beautiful restaurant! We went after the Foreigner concert last night. Family owned and Jackson the son was so accommodating and friendly, we hung out with him there until closing. The cook made us a delicious snack! As you can see in the pictures they definitely take pride in their business there. Jackson even gave us a ride in his bike wagon(not sure what it’s called lol) Definitely recommend if you are in Bangor!“

“Outstanding selection of Beers on Tap. We went in for Drinks and Nachos. Our server Sean was great, but very busy this restaurant was understaffed. We also got a piece of Apple pie to share which was a large slice. Entrees we saw go by our table really looked good. Will plan to have dinner here next time we visit the casino. “The signature drink, The Blue Sky, is $3.50! It has 3 alcohols in it and was delicious. Loved the beer battered fish with a thin but crispy batter. My blueberry salad was great and the sandwiches were, too. Not fancy but comfortable. Attentive, friendly and efficient service. So very reasonable and tasty. A big menu also. This place is a gem!“

“Returning back for homecoming reminded me how jealous I am this location opened near the end of my time at UMaine. I do have fond memories of their OG location that could barely fit 20 people in downtown Orono. This spot would be one of my go to spots as a current student cause OBC makes great beers, easily some of the best in the greater Bangor area. Also their fried chicken rivals most other options in the state I have tried. So crunchy and the chicken was perfectly juicy and the blueberry sauce made for a great condiment. Also their tater tots are cooked to perfection and perfectly seasoned. Service was friendly and quick even with the crazy amount of people around for homecoming. This spot is huge especially when factoring in all the outdoor space for cornhole and other games. This is a must check-out brewery in Maine. It rivals some of the best in the state and they are a brewery that could succeed anywhere in the state. Always going to appreciate Orono Brewing for being the first craft brewery I would frequently visit. They also have a great UMaine pride!“

But the most amazing thing was the personalized service from Brian, the manager - let me explain - After dinner we started the arduous"trek" down Rt. 9 back home to Eastport. It wasn't until Monday morning that I realized I had left my wallet there. To make a long story short, Brian went beyond "the call of duty" and sent my wallet back via Fed. Ex. on his day off ! “This place was a providential find. We flew in from Pittsburgh with plans for Bar Harbor, and got in late enough to stay in Bangor. Boy are we glad we did. The IT IPA - my husband is a total beer snob. They make IT in house and it’s fantastic. Siamese Devils- I’ve never had curry eggs before. So silky, with a bit of ginger on top. Wow. My son got the sticky fingers, I think he may have licked off the plate. My daughter does not do gravy- but she loved the poutine anyway. We had the lobster Rangoon and all agree I need to figure out how to do this at home. The Bacon. Just get the bacon or you really haven’t lived. And make sure you get the sauce. I did get the recipe…. Best of all, the atmosphere was so welcoming and fun. The owners are fabulous and this is a labor of love. I wish we lived closer!!“

“I have been going to seasons for 10 years. We go every Friday after work for the 6 appetizer and drinks. Sometimes for a full meal. Some of us got the 6 appetizer ; some a meal. We went to check out. 2 of us noticed the 6 appetizers were being charged full price. We brought it to waitress attention. She said that they only charge the $6 price if the patron asks for it. The price on the menu shows the 6 price and happy hour is 3 to 6. Why should a patron have to ask for the discount that they advertise for. This is not right. This is under handed. I wondered in the past when they brought my bill and they had to redo it to the 6 dollar price. I am very dissappointed.“

“This place is really a hidden gem, I have been in the food industry 18 years and I am kinda fussy when it comes to food. Well I am here to tell you the fried fish here has to be the best around. Not to mention the pizza is fantastic and a favorite of mine the poutine. Another popular item by the locals is “Lisa’s famous fried clams” those are also vary tasty. The staff is always friendly and the bar is always stocked. I definitely highly recommend.“

“Tasty bread and baked goods at a fraction of the price you'd pay at other stores. ($1.29 for a nice loaf of multi grain bread is a steal these days!) One thing to keep in mind is some loaves are close to their sell by date. I've never had an issue since my family eats it quickly, but I wouldn't buy it to let it sit for a long time.“

Wife and I read the reviews. Then tried it for ourselves.. Pot roast was Good, Super Tender, homemade gravy, Mashed "taters" and the Chicken pot pie was Awesome As well. Full of chicken, flakey and the cranberry sauce was a nice touch along with the homemade rolls. $40 bucks out the door...! Thats abig ten 4,We will be back.
We also have noticed that when a place is full of locals; you know you're in the right spot..
Beans were good also. And definitely home made..“
