The atmosphere is pleasant, the physical establishment is clean, the staff are friendly, the food has increasingly improved, from good to great. There is a lot of history in this location, specifically that of the local community. Old signs, photos, and other artifacts. In addition, the owners recently decided to switch to all beef patties, from locally raised cattle. A huge step and much appreciated by many. Also, if you are into the presentation of the food, it's on point. Prices are comparable to that of other quality pubs. Space is limited, wait time varies, definitely worth the trip.“

“Only been a few times but every time I'm blown away at how good the food is. The biscuits and muffins have the most amazing texture. The hot chocolate tastes homemade with frothed milk. Bacon and eggs are super high quality and cooked to perfection. The service was fantastic; very friendly. They even took care to let the chef know about my daughters celiac for her gluten free breakfast sandwich and marked it right on the container for us. Highly recommend!!!!“

I guess that's not to big of a deal. Never came back during our meal to ask how things are. “We visited Bolos last night for the first and definitely not the last time Saturday night. I’d highly recommend the Chips and Dip Trio and the GRILLED BURRITO was huge and filling (I recommend the Queso and Guac to go on top). Our dinner ambassador, Ashley, was extremely attentive and made sure we had an enjoyable evening. Other staff members were equally pleasant and friendly. There was live music and the entire place gave off a good vibe. We’ll be back again. And for those who use Toast, this place is part of the rewards program.“

“Only review of bakery! Hole in the wall spot . Still quaint and the baked goods Devine. Got a shortbread raspberry cookie, best short bread I've had in a decade! A slice of lemonchello cake I may be dreaming about for the next week. The last item was a lobstertail cause had to try one they are Hugh and packed full of cream, a diffinate must if you like cream. Only issue was the lady waiting on me seemed a bit annoyed as I didn't know what I wanted, having never been here, but no one else was in the store at the time. “extremely good place to eat if you need a place that is kind of like home this is it , at least for anyone that likes football baseball basketball golf or pretty much any sports. service is prompt and friendly drinks are fair priced the only problem i had was when i looked around for a phone number there was not a single one posted. anywhere in the restaurant and i had to google gippers for a number and found this. they should make their number well known pens cards put it on the shirts they sell its not a place to be afraid of advertising by any means.“

The authentic German dishes were not only mouth watering but the waitress Sarah made our entire evening one to remember. “My kiddos and I got lunch here as a way to peak into Lewiston's Somali community on the way through. The decor is a little fancier than you'd expect for a place serving homestyle meals. The appetizers were yummy, especially the crepes, which are a little sweeter than the French version. We also got samosas, which were good but not as good as I've had in a Somali-American kitchen. Similarly, the ugali and beef dish was underwhelming. The ugali was pretty dry. (My kids called it mashed potatoes and gobbled it up, though).If I went again, I'd get the goat & spaghetti, because that seemed like the most popular option among the Somali patrons, and likewise I'd get a mango smoothie.Paradoxically, they did a fantastic job with the American food I ordered for the kids - grilled chicken and french fries, which was on a big sign in the window but not on the menu. The chicken was just perfect - flavorful and juicy. “Brought my grandson(3) on a friday @ noon(when doors opened).
There were a few people at opening but not to bad.
(It started getting busier as time went on)
I added 20 $ on game card & paid 3.99 $ for him to be able to use the play gym.
Cost: 26 $
He used the play area first & seemed to really enjoy it then we played a few games before sitting down to eat.
He wanted a cheeseburger & fries kids meal and I ordered the same. I was really surprised that they only offer can soda & bottled water(1.75$) since it's a kids play place ..

They give you a button to put on table so when food was done they could bring it to your table. We went to play for a little longer while food was cooking then went to seating area to wait for food (approx 15 mins).
Once food came it arrived in a basket with burger, fries & 3 packets of ketchup I asked if I could get a paper cup & she said they have none & then I asked for packet of mustard for our burger & she said I had to pay for it..?? ( A little crazy since I had already paid 50 $ but OK...)
The food was as expected for a play place (frozen patty & shoestring french fries) we ate then resumed playing..
Staff were helpful answering questions ect.
Bathrooms were super clean maybe because we arrived upon opening but you can tell they care..
I saw staff on multiple occasions sanitizing & making sure areas were clean(5 *'s)
Overall we had a good time & would recommend visiting especially when the kiddos are stuck inside in the winter or rainy days..

“This Diner reminds me of when the farmers would go for breakfast and stop in for a wholesome meal. Everything was excellent. They use fresh ingredients. That’s a big deal for me. There was fresh Spinach in my omelette and that was a very nice surprise. Nothing was greasy. The Mailhots were quite tasty, and the home fries were also impressive. If you’re in the neighborhood I highly recommend you stop into Fran’s and enjoy! 👍🏼👍🏼“

“Played pool and got some drinks as well as a bite to eat. Maybe it was the drinking but the Mac and cheese was absolutely fantastic. I ate a serving as we played. Then ordered some Togo before I left to take with me. My s/o had the fish we took it home and browned it more but he said it was delicious! Staff was kind and helpful. Quiet little spot to play pool

“This was our second visit in one week. I ordered the Parmesan chicken (AMAZING) with steamed broccoli and a salad with blue cheese dressing (the dressing was superb) My husband ordered the steak tips, mashed potatoes and a salad. I asked the waiter if they could put the Parmesan sauce over the broccoli, he said, “no problem”
My meal came with no sauce on the broccoli. The waiter took it back and added the sauce, he failed to tell me there would be an additional $3 charge for it. My husband loved his steaks tips! There was a small amount of bland mashed potatoes( being from the south, I’ve never seen a portion this small) they came with the steak tips. I went without water throughout my meal, the waiter never came to fill it ( this is my biggest quirk) being a waitress myself for years. Our meal also came with a loaf of bread, it apparently had been smashed in the middle somehow. Our waiter went to get a replacement loaf which we promptly received at the end of our meal. I don’t mind paying any additional charges but I’d like to have the option of knowing about it before seeing it on our bill!“

The staff here used to be on top of their game... apparently not anymore! So disappointing. They did end up walking out because they were never approached.“

“went here for the first time the other day. i dont eat meat, but my friend wanted to go, so i just kinda went with it. got some mozzy sticks, caesar salad, and tater wedges!! mozzy sticks were average, tater wedges were yummy, but the caesar salad was absolutely bomb diggity. i am rather picky about my caesar salads, but this one was BUSS. the shreds of parmesan cheese mixed with that creamy ass dressing...i gotta tell ya, that was really a "zoo wee mama" moment for me LOL!!! 😂😂😂 my waitress was like lightning freakin mcqueen with how fast she got us our food, we were there 45 mins TOPS. i left a phat tip ;))) (an extra 5 dollars) because she was just as sweet as an apple. atmosphere was ight, every inch of the wall was covered with tv's tho which i thought was a bit much. also the only thing they were showing on the tv was literally just sports. sports sports and more sports. football, men, beer, sports. anyhow, it was overall a decent experience, so 4/5!!!“
