The atmosphere is pleasant, the physical establishment is clean, the staff are friendly, the food has increasingly improved, from good to great. There is a lot of history in this location, specifically that of the local community. Old signs, photos, and other artifacts. In addition, the owners recently decided to switch to all beef patties, from locally raised cattle. A huge step and much appreciated by many. Also, if you are into the presentation of the food, it's on point. Prices are comparable to that of other quality pubs. Space is limited, wait time varies, definitely worth the trip.“

“Delivery to you home. This is the best Gelato I've ever tasted. Their Cookies and Cream has caramel in it. Their Blueberry really tastes like Maine Blueberry Pie. I've had Gelato from Italy, and Gelato from little Italian Ice cream shops, and Mamma Lucia Pizza restaurant in DC area. This has all of them topped in flavor and lightness. Even my wife who is dairy sensitive can have it. Be careful it is shipped in dry ice. So know how to dispose of dry ice when you get it. No disposal, no touch with bare hands, no indoor storage. “My kiddos and I got lunch here as a way to peak into Lewiston's Somali community on the way through. The decor is a little fancier than you'd expect for a place serving homestyle meals. The appetizers were yummy, especially the crepes, which are a little sweeter than the French version. We also got samosas, which were good but not as good as I've had in a Somali-American kitchen. Similarly, the ugali and beef dish was underwhelming. The ugali was pretty dry. (My kids called it mashed potatoes and gobbled it up, though).If I went again, I'd get the goat & spaghetti, because that seemed like the most popular option among the Somali patrons, and likewise I'd get a mango smoothie.Paradoxically, they did a fantastic job with the American food I ordered for the kids - grilled chicken and french fries, which was on a big sign in the window but not on the menu. The chicken was just perfect - flavorful and juicy. The servers are very friendly, food is solid in my experience, and prices are not unreasonable.

“We had just a wonderful experience here tonight. The food was absolutely delicious, but what made the experience the most exceptional was the staff’s kindness. My 8 month old was fussier than usual (typically he is so happy to be out to eat and watch everything going on). We were working hard to keep him happy, but he did have a few moments where he wasn’t doing well. We apologized profusely, and the staff were incredibly kind. They completely understood, many came up to just say hello. My husband and I were incredibly grateful for the graciousness of the staff. We will be sure to be back!“

“This Diner reminds me of when the farmers would go for breakfast and stop in for a wholesome meal. Everything was excellent. They use fresh ingredients. That’s a big deal for me.
