“Satori is a cozy, consistently excellent Japanese restaurant in the heart of Belfast — a town you might not immediately associate with fresh sushi, thoughtful cocktails, and a refined dining experience, but it absolutely delivers on all fronts.

The fish is reliably fresh, the sashimi is clean and delicate, and the signature rolls — especially the Miso Hungry — are well-balanced and deeply satisfying. Their cocktail menu is outstanding, and the sake list includes everything from approachable bottles to premium selections that show they take their drink program seriously.

The interior is warm and intimate, with a smart layout that gives every table its own space. The lighting is perfectly tuned — not too dim, not too bright — just the kind of low-key glow that makes a dinner feel relaxed and personal without losing any clarity. “Last night we went to Wild Cow after the free concert in the park in Belfast. I asked if they were about to close and they said yes but they could let me order something. I ordered the chocolate hazelnut ice cream in a homemade waffle cone and it was DELICIOUS. No fillers just pure quality, great, complex chocolate flavor; the toasted hazelnuts added just the right amount of crunch. Worth seeking out when you’re in Belfast!”
