“This is by far one of the best bars in OOB. If you are looking for a great place to get out of the sun then head down to sohos under the beach! The drink prices are about average for the town, and they have a great happy hour with $5 for domestics and you get a chip for a free one. So it's like you're getting each beer for only $2.50! They have ton of great beers which other bars in town don't and they are always ice cold! They also have a pool table, Foosball table, and 4 dart lanes. There's even a dart shoot out every Sunday that starts at 4PM. They also have a state of the art jukebox and flat screens everywhere.“
“I'm here from out of town and stopped in. I had a few drinks and met the owners and some of the staff. I did karaoke for the first time. They had a fundraiser for a local kid. Came back a few more times and have been greeted like family every time. The food I had was good the drinks even better. I seen age groups from 21-60 its a place for everyone but not for everyone iykyk. I will definitely be back!“
“Excellent, chill pub that is very friendly and neighborhood feeling. We walked in and everyone seemed to welcome us in as we sat around the huge bar top. Great drinks, very attentive and fun bartenders, and the food menu is delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the food quality. The King’s Head will be my go to on future business visits to Portland.“
“I've loved in Portland for a number of years and has never been to this landmark. Decided it was time so headed over and check it out. On street parking wasn't difficult to find luckily. Walked in and found several seats at the bar. Bartender acknowledged us and let us know he would be with us shortly. Friendly and helpful staff. We were glad center a menu and we chose the crab cakes. Was a little worried about since 75% of cooks cook crab with old bay seasoning which is not my favorite. Pleasantly surprised when they came and were super crispy and hot! No old bay yay!!! Very tasty with my ice cold beer. Decor is interesting to look at and people gathered there were having a good time all around. Definitely will be back to check out more menu items as well as the vibe.“
“We ate there on St. Patrick’s day . We were seated upstairs and it was really nice and cozy . Service was great . We started with the onion ring appetizer. Delicious. We both had the corned beef dinner . It was a huge portion and really good . Fork tender ! Best I have ever had . The chef sent up 2 servings of mashed potatoes to us . The waitress said he felt the potatoes with the meal weren’t enough . They were but it was a really nice of him . Also delicious. Stout chocolate cake and an ice cream sandwich for dessert. Fabulous. Thanks for making our St. Patrick’s day so great . The food here is really outstanding.“
“An experience like no other. A huge nightclub with the weirdest decorations ever. They have multiple dance floors and typically do a 80s theme night. So much dancing! They do have a cover typically $5 and the bar is cash only so be prepared. The drinks are strong and a little pricey. Overall a great time if you want to dance!“
“Portland"s Oldest Bar!!They've done a great job sprucing the place up. Especially having a kitchen with great pub food. Thanks John!!Courtney serving up drinks and keeping it fun.Stop by on a karaoke night (Wednesday or Saturday) and you can be a rockstar with DJ Donnie playing those tunes you love.Parking: After 6 you don't have to pay to park. App for parking is Passport Parking.“
“They are very good with the gluten free. I have celiac and have never gotten sick from them. Excellent food and service. Love it! I've been there many times.Dietary restrictions: They have many gluten-free choices. Even some vegan choices also.“
“Cool spot to hang out. With the front door off the street and up some stairs makes getting to Andy's feel like a speakeasy. Food was outstanding. I actually ate here on three separate times. Lobster roll had a generous amount of lobster. The clam Chowder was everything you expect. Wings are very good. The Philly Cheesesteak was great as well. Service was good. On bartender had attitude but she was not putting up anyone's foolishness. One night had a band. Good hang out spot. I go back.“
“Not many bars in Portland stay open past 11, this one does. Besides some of the weirdos that you have to walk past to get in, I like they have someone at the door checking IDs because when my wife went out to smoke the bouncer kept the weirdos “
“Love this place, perfectly adequate pub food and a great atmosphere, and classic beer styles on tap. Totally worth a trip for a pint of classic ale and some comfort food! However you don’t want to run into this one doorman in about his mid 20’s. The guy seems to usually work the front door on busy nights. He is beyond rude and entitled. I hope he loses his job eventually because I love going there but don’t want to be bummed out or frustrated running into him. Acted like ID’ing me wasn’t his job and I was inconveniencing him!? I’m here to spend my money and have a good time, not be barked at or talked down to“
“My friend and I had a great dinner at this restaurant. After we were seated in the booth, a server came to offer menus and take drink orders. I had a Pink Paloma and my friend had a hot tea, they were out of creamer but had some regular milk which came in handy. The popcorn for appetizer was new to me but definitely a great surprise. We both love popcorn so we enjoyed it. We both ordered the Royal Steak ? but there’s nothing royal about it. It was a thin piece of meat, next time we’ll try the top tier steak. We atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed which we enjoyed after a long day. We enjoyed this restaurant, we will be back.“
“Excellent service and excellent food! Waitress was very professional, friendly and very helpful. Are burgers and beer or delicious. Atmosphere was nice, cheerful and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. They have a meat market outback that is unbelievable, filled with choices, and very helpful in finding the perfect cut of beef. They have all sorts of seafood, poultry, red meat and pork.“
“Fantastic dive bar with falling apart pneumatic chairs, cigarette funk, outdoor area and 2 pool tables. Don't order a fancy drink. Basics only here.CASH ONLY and you pay as you drink. We have a bunch of fun here after a semi-stressful Thanksgiving. Thanks for being open!“
“Had an amazing time at the Chart Room, which is located within the Black Point Inn. We all ate fresh Maine seafood while dining outside, enjoying the beautiful views. Our service was fantastic as well. This is a must visit restaurant in the area. We all loved the experience!“
“Outstanding food and friendly service! Quaint comfortable setting with fun atmosphere. Dart boards and multiple tv viewing options. The Mac & Cheese, Cheeseburger Sliders, and Tsunami Nachos were pleasantly appealing to both the eye and the palate. Hot, delicious and belly-filling. Especially enjoyed the background music! Great experience all around!“
“Love going here for lunch or dinner. Great food and atmosphere. Waitstaff are friendly and helpful. Nice place for families to go to. They are a bowling alley and games to play for kids. In the summer they have an outdoor seating area to eat at. Would recommend this place. Love it. We go there a lot.Kid-friendliness: They have a bowling alley and games for kids to play. Nice family place.“
