“SHUCH A HIDDEN GEM! Oh my gosh, this is our absolute favorite place. We were visiting from Connecticut and they had over 100 different beers and wine that you could take to go or drink there and they had an extensive draft list.

The bartender was so sweet and friendly. He let you try anything on the travel list and would give you recommendations. It was so clever all the draft beers it would tell you how many miles from that exact bar this beer was brewed at so you kind of got a sense of the Portland and Maine areas.

The location itself was very small and cozy with high top tables and a lounge area with couch and plus chair seating was super cozy on a winter day.

They also had food and as a really funny item, they actually had a free egg station with many different toppings, and you could literally eat hard boiled eggs, which our group absolutely loved.

10/10 recommend!!“

Or the grilled shrimp or tuna, both yummy. Cocktails, wine, espresso -- choices galore. gotta love the espresso martini, even a decaf one! Jazz or blues background music, no headbanger stuff. Everyone behind the bar has always been very friendly, starting with Rick who retired a few years and carrying on with the new bartenders. I also love that it’s been around since the 1930s, as one of the first bars around to reopen after prohibition. It’s definitely a neighborhood gem!“

“We had afternoon high tea. It was an enjoyable experience. It is real English tea. Service was great. The food was nice and appropriate for tea. Even clotted cream for the scones. The tea sandwiches were small. The mini lobster roll had very little lobster in it and the other two were petite. We would go back again. It is a little pricey but worth it for the experience.“

“One of our favorite places, nice laid back atmosphere with couches & bookcases, reasonably priced beers, and located at the entrance to Portland’s wonderful West End. They serve a great Beyond burger, as well as a black bean burger. They also have a number of other nice options including vegan cheese pizzas, chili, and chili cheese fries! “Had a chance to visit the Dry Dock recently as they were one of the opening venues hosting for Santacon! So much fun... they had the upstairs decorated and some great and friendly staff there serving up some lovely wines and beer too! So much fun .. we even ordered some baked stuffed potato skins... they were delicious! Our whole crew had a great time... hope they are hosting again next year! We will be back for sure as they are located right by the water on commercial street, so close to everything and all the shops in town. If you haven't been, get there and check it out :)“

“stopped in to get a meal in the afternoon it was nice and quiet, had the sweet and spicy chicken tenders as an appetizer which were great and as am entree I had the blackened salmon with veggies and mashed potatoes which was phenomenal the salmon was good but I actually enjoyed the veggies and mashed potatoes more, great service and atmosphere“
