“I was just there about 1.5 hours ago. Definitely family owned. Even got to play pool/billiards with the owner. If I lived in port Clyde id come very often. Very welcoming and friendly.“

“Love this place. People from all walks of life. You can talk to the table next to you, and it doesn't much matter where they're from. Does that make sense? Go... you will see what I mean. The food is fantastic. The service gets 5 stars from me because they do their best with the staff shortage in Maine. The atmosphere is all about the people. Sit down and strike up a conversation with the table next to you. You'll see what I mean. I'm a little upset that they got rid of the pool table, but I can live without it.“

“One of our favorite restaurants in Maine! Such a comfortable atmosphere with well worn wooden booths, tables and chairs. The menu is always so good, it makes it hard to decide what to order. Their salads are always good and a nice variety of other entrees and always delicious desserts that vary from day to day. Check the hours before you go.“

“Best REAL bar in the town. We were looking for somewhere to watch the eagles with hood wings!! Chowder and wings were unbelievable, Reuben delicious!! Chris the bartender was personable and on it! “My review is based off of the tamales just ordered. I grew up in Panama and it was one the best treats to get fresh tamales. It didn’t happen very often- but when it did, I loved them so much. And obviously in Maine- it’s almost impossible to find them- especially authentic. I was quite impressed with Sammy’s take on tamales. Of course- they are not the exact replica of what I had- but they are very impressive. And it’s A LOT of work to make them. It’s not Taco Bell. These are real tamales and I truly hope they don’t go away. Thanks so much for adding these into the Midcoast menu taking the time. Truly delicious. 🇵🇦“
