“Wow this place so far exceeded expectations from minute one. We came in with my elderly aunt and everyone was so attentive and helpful. The hostess was able to get us seated in the tavern area fairly quickly in spite of them being very busy. The atmosphere was very interesting and there were intricate chalk drawings on the walls. The noise level was quieter than I would expect in a pub atmosphere so we were able to chat. The food was incredible, the oysters were super fresh and my only suggestion is to serve these with fresh lemon. For an entree I had French onion soup and a toasted mini baguette and it was delicious. My husband had the chicken which was also delicious and my aunt had the fish and chips which she seemed very pleased with.”

“DELICIOUS!! FRESH!!! Excellent Quantity and price is reasonable for meals. Baked goods are also tasty and huge. Sometimes the wait is a tad long but generally service is quick. We found this to be a nice change from the other restaurants in Boothbay Harbor. Although we enjoyed them also. Definitely we'd eat here again if in the area. You should give it try as you won't be disappointed.”

“Who would’ve thought one of the best meals I’d have in Maine would come from a pizza spot in a converted work trailer? Vera Idyllic Pizza is an absolute gem on the side of the road. We stopped by twice in four days because the pizza was that good. The cheese and BBQ chicken pizzas were both amazing — fresh, flavorful, and with the best dough I’ve ever had. The setup is simple but really well done, and you can tell they put care into everything. Forget the lobster — this is the place you’ll be craving again and again. AJ from Buffalo”

“Only giving this a location rating of 3 because it was 40 minutes from the main road.. we stayed here for 2 nights and to go explorer from this location was a drive just to see anything .. we went to bay harbor one day then booth bay the next ans the drives back were hard.. but super cute place, restaurant was delicious and staff was super friendly !”

“My wife and I were at the lounge the last 2 nights. Great atmosphere, the bartender was extremely friendly. It was our second trip to Boothbay/Sunset Lounge. Or previous experience was the same. Great place to visit, the Harbor Inn is away from the restaurants, shops and bars, but it is only a footbridge away.

Parking: Stay at the harbor inn, you won't drive again until you are ready to leave. Everything is within walking distance.”

“This is the best restaurant breakfast we have had in some time (and we eat breakfast out often). The coffee is excellent, the biscuits as good as what I make at home and the eggs were done perfectly. We returned the next morning and had the French Toast stuffed with cream cheese and Maine wild blueberries and it also was excellent. The ambiance is pleasantly funky and the service is warm and efficient.”

“First off the service was great. Very friendly staff and very quick service. Nice atmosphere and great view from where we sat. Now the food. We got bowl of clam chowder, steamed clams, a crab/lobster roll with sweet potato fries and a soda and ice tea. Our bill came out to $130.00! Really? My husbands food was good and my ice tea and sweet potato fries were good. The combo crab/lobster roll was lousy. Could be one of the worst ones I’ve ever had. Kitchen staff you served me crab meat that stunk and tasted like ammonia. I used to work in the restaurant industry and sold seafood and folks that is bad news. I gagged it down and tried not to complain too much because my husband really wanted to check this place out. I did tell the waiter I didn’t care for my meal. I also made the mistake of getting it with drawn butter and no mayo. They didn’t serve it right or because they used borderline bad seafood it didn’t work. I’ve had the warmed lobster rolls before and it was delicious down in the Portland area. Unfortunately we will never eat here again and would not recommend it…. BTW Red Eats in Damariscotta is a long wait but the food was well worth the wait and the money. If you want to spend a lot of money on a lobster dinner go there…. Sorry Taste of Maine places like yours I’m sure usually works on food quality but you failed big time yesterday.”

“This is the perfect restaurant for a romantic dinner, superb food, and excellent service. Also have enjoyed the best filet I've ever had in my life. I don't eat steak often, so when I do, it makes sense to get the best, and Paul's definitely serves it. Pair it with some great wines, and a lovely evening is enjoyed by all. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!”

“A nice bbq spot next to the brewery, where you can bring the food back to the brewery or the beer down to the bbq spot. Brisket sandwich was good and fries were a nice compliment.”

“We love the Marketplace for breakfast, especially their cinnamon bun or potato pancake specials. However, now they are open for dinner Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings. Great menu and great specials. The Italian fish special last week was outstanding. Compared to other restaurants it is very inexpensive. I highly recommend it.”
