8 Best American Restaurants near Ishpeming

“I have loved pasties for a long time and started a quest years ago to find the best pasty. I would sometimes buy several from a region, so I could taste them fresh and hot, side-by-side. There are some great Pasties in Michigan (and some that are terrible), but Lowry's in Ishpeming edged out the rest.“

“My daughter and I were in town for a ski jumping camp. Beautiful facility. On night one after a seven hour drive we walked from our hotel room to the Jasper Ridge Brewery for a quick bite before turning in for a long day. The quick bite turned into one of the most fantastic brew pub meals I've encountered in my 56 years on this earth. The bartender was one of the best ever. She engaged us in conversation the entire time , and with me being long winded, that's a feat in itself. After dining on one of ..no.. the best patty melt ever, and having a Blueberry Wheat Ale that is brewed in house, and not only delicious, but entertaining, we cannot wait to return! The only negative is that all of my favorite patty melts back home will pale in comparison. Watch ski jumping, drink good beer, take care of each other, and we'll catch you next time !“

“This week I had beautiful food from the Midtown Bakery at a catered event. It was at the Marquette Regional History Cdnter. It was an event for Women’s Health. I didn’t realize they were having a wonderful display of delicious dishes from the Midtown Bakery—-it was one of the nicest buffets I’ve seen recently in our area. This included cheesecakes that were a work of art. Also there were kabobs of salami, artichokes, tortellini etc. meatballs. Blackened chicken drumsticks prepared in a unique way. The large platters of veggies and cheese cubes were fresh and delicious. Taco dips also were excellent. I want to spread the word in this effort The event was important to women. So appreciated. I’ll spread this review.“

“Thank you for taking awesome care of this tired nurse tonight! I was starving asked Siri to call Border grill Negaunee. Well she called Marquette! The awesome manager still got my order going 10 minutes before closing, opened my Jaritos pop and gave me a little bag of chips because she recognized my state of hunger! So friendly and helpful! And of course my burrito was delicious! Thank you!!“

“Read the reviews before going expected a huge wait for food but everything came out fast and hot! The food was amazing had an appetizer main meal and dessert and was back on the road in 1 hour and 20 min. The service was great staff was kind and informative. I’ve drove past it many times on my way to and from Marquette definitely glad we stopped for lunch. I’ll definitely be back. Keep up the good work guys!“
