“I love this place, the sandwiches are amazing! However I wish they would wait until closing time to close. I drove 20 minutes to get there, managed to get there 15 minutes before they closed, and they already had locked the doors. Very disappointing.“

“Truly a great, locally-owned fast casual option. I’ve been to two locations. Neither were much to look at, but let’s focus on the food! If you’re a first timer, just be aware, a WHOLE sub is a lot to eat. Be prepared to take some home. Otherwise, you can get half of one. I’d also recommend having your sub “rogue style.” They turn the bread inside out, season it up, and toast it to make it nice and crispy. Just heard a staff member say rogue style makes it up about 80% of their sales. Speaking of staff, the service at both locations I’ve been to has been wonderful. The workers are upbeat, friendly, and helpful. They’re happy to make a recommendation if you feel lost in the large menu. Would love to see a changing table in the bathroom! Otherwise great!“

“It is always a joy to visit Boardwalk subs on plainfield ave in Grand Rapids, MI the staff on duty especially: Tammy, Matt, Marissa, and Natashia all know us by name and what kind of sub we like. They are so friendly and happy to see us each time we visit. They work so well as a team each helping each other out. The subs are extraordinary good, only one of the reasons we keep going back. But we put a lot of the orders in online ahead and Reesha had many of it done when we arrived, and for those that still need to order, she managed the entire store all by herself. “I had forgotten my wallet and it had lots of cash in it. I looked around all day for it and then I realized I might’ve left it at Jimmy John’s. The very nice people there had started in the back for me to come get it. They also gave me a free sub card, which was really really nice. Their sandwiches are great. Everyone there is super nice. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a nice tasty lunch!“

“I work right next door and I can get a quick bite to eat in my break. The delivery is great and my sandwich is always the way I order it. The staff is beyond friendly and I love getting the day old bread for my vegetarian son. He loves his lettuce sandwiches.“

Also tried there delivery service and they are again freaky fast. They are about 15 minutes out from my location but had gotten here within 20 minutes after I placed my order. “My husband and I have lived in this area for approximately three years. There was a period about two years ago, that we stopped coming to this location due to the food not being fresh, the employees were very rude, the restaurant was never clean!! I think it was about a year and a half ago we decided to give it another chance because we had heard it was under new management , we are so thankful that we did! This place has completely turned around! The food is always fresh, the new manager is an older lady, and you can tell that she is passionate about the store! This store is honestly the cleanest I have ever seen a subway, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the 1st shift staff are just wonderful now! Hats off to whoever decided to hire her! Even though the driver already left the young lady that answered the phone was very nice about accommodating for us.
