“It is always a joy to visit Boardwalk subs on plainfield ave in Grand Rapids, MI the staff on duty especially: Tammy, Matt, Marissa, and Natashia all know us by name and what kind of sub we like. They are so friendly and happy to see us each time we visit. They work so well as a team each helping each other out. The subs are extraordinary good, only one of the reasons we keep going back. I will continue going to boardwalk subs always.“

“Thank you so much for sheltering my boys and I last night during the storm. I was headed to Lowell and apparently a tornado sat down near our home. I was able to keep my boys safe and you guys kept us dry and gave my sons water to calm down while they ate their delicious sandwiches. Thank you!“

“Awesome!!!! We stopped by to get lunch for all of us (7 of us) and we got a BIG VARIETY of subs, all different and the two guys working together were great!!! No problem at all!!! They got our order perfect!!!!! They were friendly as can be they knew exactly what they were doing talked like we all knew each other already!!! Excellent place!!! Highly recommend this place dine in or carry out!!!“

“My husband and I have lived in this area for approximately three years. There was a period about two years ago, that we stopped coming to this location due to the food not being fresh, the employees were very rude, the restaurant was never clean!! I think it was about a year and a half ago we decided to give it another chance because we had heard it was under new management , we are so thankful that we did! This place has completely turned around! The food is always fresh, the new manager is an older lady, and you can tell that she is passionate about the store! This store is honestly the cleanest I have ever seen a subway, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the 1st shift staff are just wonderful now! Hats off to whoever decided to hire her! We now look forward to coming here! Every time we are here she goes above and beyond! THANK YOU!!“

“I am a big fan of Subway, especially this location. The staff is always friendly. I returned after not visiting for almost a year and they remembered me. My food was quickly assembled to perfection! They took great care to make sure I was satisfied. The atmosphere is typical of any Subway. The prices are rising, but that's nothing to do with this location.-Bone to pick with the corporation, bring back the pesto and $5 foot long!“

“One summer i got in a fight with a huge black lady here at 1am. She was harrassing the counter dude so i steppin in and got yelled at for about 20minutes. The fight ended because i didnt know what facetious meant so i just walked away. Pretty bomb sandwich too.“

“My son was at Cornerstone University for basketball camp the night June 25 and I ordered food for delivery. They had an unexpected meeting come up and I had to call to push back the time. Even though the driver already left the young lady that answered the phone was very nice about accommodating for us. The driver was very helpful when trying to find a good spot to meet for drop off as well.“
“I work right next door and I can get a quick bite to eat in my break. The delivery is great and my sandwich is always the way I order it. The staff is beyond friendly and I love getting the day old bread for my vegetarian son. He loves his lettuce sandwiches.“

“I've ALWAYS loved their food at this location. This time I need to talk about the amazing customer service I experienced.We ordered food for delivery with a requested 6:30 pm delivery time. At 6:50 pm our food still hadn't arrived. I called to ask if there was a problem with our delivery. The extremely polite person on the phone went to check on it. I was apologized to and they took full responsibility that the order was made but never made it out for delivery. They remade it fresh again and said they'd get it out immediately for delivery. They then proceeded to refund my full purchase price including the delivery fee. The person who delivered our order apologized again and said they threw in 2 free cookies as well. I about cried because I felt so valued as a customer. Seems like nowhere does these kinds of things anymore when an honest mistake is made. Way to go Potbelly!! You have a customer for life. I will tell this story over and over to people so this location can continue to thrive. Thank you for standing out in taking care of your customers.“

The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the guy who took our call shared his own experience with celiac disease, and outlined the precautions they planned to take when preparing our order. We were very impressed by their accommodations, empathy, and efficiency in preparing our order. Highly recommend!!“

“May 19th 12:45pm, a "Karen" was yelling at the employees because she cancelled her online order by accident and still wanted it. Employees handled it professionally and without losing their temper. I believe the employees were Kobe and Shawn maybe if I understood their names. Our service was great and it was good to see these employees handle irate customers with class.“

“Stopped here on our way out of Grand Rapids Airport. The people behind the counter were very friendly. Doubled checked with amounts, "did we want more or less?" and went out of the way to make sure our sandwiches didn't get mixed up. Very good food!“

“I love this place, the sandwiches are amazing! However I wish they would wait until closing time to close. I drove 20 minutes to get there, managed to get there 15 minutes before they closed, and they already had locked the doors. Very disappointing.“
