“So I went to Jersey Mike’s Subs and I’ve got mixed emotions… like my sandwich had commitment issues but still showed up.
First off, the sandwich itself? Absolutely solid. Bread had that perfect “I was baked today and I’m proud of it” energy. Meat was piled high like it was training for the Olympics. The guy behind the counter was basically a sandwich DJ—slicing, stacking, and seasoning with confidence I wish I had in my life decisions.
Now the 4-star part: I blinked and suddenly my “regular” sub was $17. I didn’t even argue because the sandwich made direct eye contact with me and I panicked.
Also, I asked for extra mayo and I think I got enough to moisturize a small village.
Final verdict: I’d go back tomorrow, but I’d bring a financial advisor and maybe a support group. Still worth it. Just don’t look at the receipt too long.“

“Boardwalk has been my go to sub spot for over a decade. Unfortunately I moved to a different state now, but anytime I'm in Grand Rapids I find my way here.
Their menu is great, but one of my favorite things to do is just walk in and have whoever is helping me create their favorite or experiment. This particular evening Kayla and Grace did not disappoint and gave me a great take on their turkey & prostini.
The staff has always treated me great and the quality of food has been consistently wonderful.“

“It felt like the Bahn Mi shop I used to go to in Australia. I can't really rate the food as I was not able to eat it. I am used to them putting chilli's on the sandwich. I would just take them off, B&N seem to have the heat in the pickling juice the vegetables were pickled in. The orginal flavor I got was amazing, then my taste buds ran away. So be warned. Ask and don't assume if you can't handle spicey.“

The very nice people there had started in the back for me to come get it. They also gave me a free sub card, which was really really nice. Their sandwiches are great. Everyone there is super nice. We often submit large orders with substitutions and sometimes have multiple orders in one day. I can’t imagine the volume of orders they get besides us being downtown and the food still manages to get here super quickly. Every one of their employees I’ve interacted with have been very friendly and helpful as well. Not to mention the food comes out great every time. The person who made the ordered labelled her Sandwich " Sarah the Ugly". *edited* The store handled the situation. The delivery driver took pictures for the Manger on Duty. The M.O.D. called the GM all before I could make my way up to the store. I'm told that '"human" was fired, was not the only issue with said employee. “I visited this location as it was on my way to work. I walked in to order and the girl just blankly looked at me. No greeting, no smile, no how can I help you. I asked her if she was taking orders. I order two sandwiches and brought them into work. My bread was so crunchy on the bottom it was as though it had been toasted. Not the best visit, probably won't go to that location again.“

“This was not the worst sub shop I've ever experienced. But still, I Ordered extra turkey on sub, instead got less (1 thin small piece that didn't even cover the whole sub sandwich), but paid for the extra turkey!
The service was ok, but I did indeed saw a worker (young teen) throwing food at another while preparing a sandwich. That really didn't bother me as much as getting (1) that's right ONE small turkey slice on my sub! I just wish i had taken a picture of the sub and the inside as proof.
Per the owner's response, I was harsh and not completely fair in my review. The food really did taste good other than below average meat (1 small slice in the whole sub and no extra for extra meat). I went next door to Family Fare Grocery and had to spend an extra $4.99 for extra meat which I shouldn't had to do. But I did go back the next day for an explanation, which none was given. No coupon or anything was offered.
My original rating was only 1 star, but because the owner didn't chastise me for telling what I have seen and my experience there, I'm changing my review to 4 stars instead of 1.
