“The first time for the 6 of us. Beautiful lobby and the Rix restaurant is on the third floor which is part inside and part outside. Very comfortable and chic with views to the outside. Service was wonderful by Kelly and very upbeat. Everything we had was delicious. Calamari, beet salad, short ribs, scallops, cioppino special, walleye and lamb kofta. We all would definitely go again. Oh, and they have a new chef who is wonderful!“

“My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at this restaurant. I had a stuffed sea bass entree which was delicious. Not the best I've ever had, but still very good. My wife had the fish and chips, which is lower brow for this restaurant, but she said it was outstanding. There was one odd thing that my wife pointed out. It was the bathrooms. She used the facilities and found that the hook to hang her purse or a coat on the door was so high she couldn't reach it. Just a heads up for you ladies out there. Overall a great dining experience.“

Everything was perfectly prepared and packaged well for the drive. All the extras were there in abundance: butter and sour cream for the baked potato, dressing for the salad, lemon wedges for the salmon, and of course, BISCUITS! Our meals were both delicious. “My girlfriends and I met at Blue Water for dinner tonight. Our waiter named Will made our dinner so enjoyable and fun. Our dinner came out so fast and the food was delicious. We split a dessert that we all didn’t care for. The General Manager Sheena came over immediately and offered us to try something different. She brought us a new dessert. She was so sweet and personable.“

I would like to give a huge shout out to the manager from last night, I came in believing I had a reservations because I was celebrating my bday but also doing a gender reveal that was done Feb 13th for March 1st but it wasn’t in there system. Instead of turning me around her and some of staff maneuvered and make things work in my favor. The server we had started out great but then became a little rude and I don’t know if it was because of my party downsizing or what but the attitude changed. She started reaching over ppl not saying excuse me so I became a little irritated on my special day. I really wanted to experience more of the food but the way things went it just changed the whole energy for me. But everything wasn’t bad and like I said I truly appreciate the amazing manager from last night and I was told that the bartender that made the drinks was superb!!!! Thank you“

But I've ordered Chinese food from restaurants that cost twice as much, and tasted the same or worse. I was bummed that China Garden didn't have teriyaki chicken. But their BBQ chicken (I just like saying "chicken on a stick") is so crispy in a good way, that I want all my "chicken on a stick" to be like theirs! Also, they were open in a massive, everyone shut down everything, snow storm. So, I'll drive out of my way to go here.“
