“Great experience with ordering takeout. We normally would dine in but had to get home after running some errands, so we ordered online. Everything was perfectly prepared and packaged well for the drive. All the extras were there in abundance: butter and sour cream for the baked potato, dressing for the salad, lemon wedges for the salmon, and of course, BISCUITS! Our meals were both delicious. Great job, Team Kentwood!“

“We sat at the bar and loved the bartending staff! So fun and amazing cocktails... described what I liked and was made a fun surprise as the night progressed. Had crab cakes & meatballs as apps; both full of flavor! The swordfish was full of flavor and cooked to perfection with the corn risotto and chile oil to add to an amazing palette delight! Finished with the cheesecake which was amazing from pistachio crust to perfect berries. A must go! Clearly a great chef that knows full flavor food, a dessert chef with great care in every aspect of the dish and top bartenders with a full bar experience! Dont hesitate to go there!“

“I normaly never write reviews however this restaurant was outstanding! After a long day of hectic last minute Christmas shopping this place really made our day. Every single thing we ate was amazing from the drinks, to appetizers, entrees and desserts. Not once was i disappointed. Not to mention we had delt with some of the most respectful staff (which is so rare today) We had Hope as a server and she was so sweet and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and so nice. Not to mention the prices were honestly not as high as I expected from such a nice place. Fine dinning at a decent price with amazing staff and to die for food. Me and my husband will absolutely be back!“

“The best perch I've ever had!We stopped into Downtown Market, while taking a day trip into Grand Rapids. It was our first time here, and we immediately noticed the display cases of fresh fish and decided to check it out.The made to order menu wasn't extensive, but seemed focused on quality over quantity.Ordered the Yellow Perch fish and chips, along with the Clam Chowder.The bread is served from another stall over called Field and Fire, it was delicious.Everything was made to order, so out came out piping hot and fresh. The perch was incredible! Perfectly crunchy, seasoned and the portions were good size. The fries were a little salty, but not off putting.The clam chowder was hearty and the bacon added an extra kick of flavorIn between Fish Lads and Carvers is an oyster bar where you can sit and enjoy ordered food. “I would highly recommend trying this restaurant out. The food was amazing and the owners were really nice and attentive. My family and I all got the number 11. Rare Flank, Beef Ball, noodle soup and it was delicious. It was full of many different flavors, and very filling. We all ended up with leftovers.“

“I ordered the Mongolian Beef combination meal. Even though I ate in, I had to order from the front counter and the food was served in to-go packaging. I was left to get my own eating utensils and condiments. They have a VERY small selection of canned or bottled sodas. The first thing I noticed was that the gravy had been overthickened with corn starch/arrow root powder to the point of being gelatinous. In addition, the beef was of a consistency of having been way to tough to start and severely overboiled to tenderize it. Other than these issues, the depth and quality of flavor easily overcame the previously mentioned shortcomings. The amount of heat was perfect. Sadly though, no fortune cookies are included in the meal. If it hadn't been for the great flavors, I would have rated my visit with three stars instead of four. It is also the reason that I would go back and try other menu items. Next time I will avoid the beef and order chicken.“

Awesome, small, tucked away gem that your friends will want to know about.
Great food. Fresh veggies. Great prices. The filled buns are a freaking awesome meal by themselves but not on the menu.

English maybe worse than mine, but be patient and understanding. It's well worth the effort.

“So this review is just for take out, I've never eaten in. I've been satisfied with everything I've ordered. Chinese food is hard to review, because everyone has their preference. But I've ordered Chinese food from restaurants that cost twice as much, and tasted the same or worse. I was bummed that China Garden didn't have teriyaki chicken. But their BBQ chicken (I just like saying "chicken on a stick") is so crispy in a good way, that I want all my "chicken on a stick" to be like theirs! Also, they were open in a massive, everyone shut down everything, snow storm. So, I'll drive out of my way to go here.“
