I was informed by the owner Donnie that on that night; Hour Magazine was attending the establishment, because the establishment was Rated Top Lounge in the State of Michigan. I was astonished by the craftsmanship of the cocktails that we ordered. The selection of Bourbon, Scotch, Tequila, and Cigars was amazing. I will definitely be coming back with multiple people to share this amazing establishment!“

“I visited this past Valentine’s Day weekend and visited again this past Saturday night. I didn’t have a reservation but still got seated very quickly. It was a hot, muggy night and the hostess said she had a seat on the patio which I was fine with. I had a magnificent server, Florence, who was kind, thoughtful to recommend a drink to the person I was with and even when our drinks were brought out within a short time, apologized for the delay (which wasn’t necessary). I wish I could give a review on the party next to us because they were extremely rude, not only not giving consideration to others being on the patio but were also incredibly rude to Florence. One woman in particular was grandstanding in front of this group and demanded to speak to a manager. Florence and the Manager were both composed and dignified in spite of a rude patron that was looking to get her bill comped (for a party of nearly a dozen people) going so far as to threatening to have everyone at her table write a terrible review. I have worked in the service industry and so have so many people I know and love so this situation had me worked up and I felt it necessary to write a review that our experience was magnificent. Don’t be an a-hole to servers of any kind just because you’re an a-hole yourself. If you give respect, you get respect. Go to The Sugar House. Be a good customer.“

“We came on a Saturday for couples night. Staff was very nice, but the music is extremely dated and it's hard to find anything worth dancing to, we stayed from about 9-12:30 and not a single good dance song played, but they played down with the sickness!?

The women's bathroom stalls don't lock, they are saloon doors that open out, but my husband said the men's room has locking stalls.

They have a room in the back where they allow smoking.

No local beer on tap or bottle which was super disappointing. How does a Michigan bar not have Bells? There is also a 3.5% surcharge on any card transactions, which seems dated.

Overall I could see this as a brief meeting spot, but not somewhere to spend your night. The music is not good, they play grainy music videos from the 80s/90s most of the night and when they aren't playing this, they play what looks like softcorn porn from the 90s from a large screen on the small dance floor.“

“My friends and I hit this bar up on the biggest bar night of the year! Thanksgiving Eve! We arrived around 10:00pm (no cover) and it was already so packed. They played great music, the DJ was seriously on point. Jack and Coke was only $6.00 and the pours = very very very strong. I was impressed with the environment. The bartenders were nice, the people around me were nice, it was just a really cool vibe! The only thing I'll say is...the bathrooms! Way too small for the amount of people allowed in that bar.
