“This place is awesome. The service is incredible. But the food was even better! The interior of it takes you back to a simpler time. Family owned and operated. The server was the sister of the cook. The coney dogs didn’t stand a chance. Fries were so crunchy and delicious. While there, the folks sitting to the left of me ordered breakfast. I’m definitely coming back just based off of how good their hash browns looked. 10/10. Definitely coming back!“

Decided to check this place out on wednesday with the $1.65 coney day.

It was one worth the price and worth regular price.

Nice, tasty chili and the bun was steamed.

The natural casing hot dog had a slight snap to it..... Not the best of dogs, but it was pretty good.

I would definitely come back to this place, as it's a really good coney, better than Kerby's, which I know is not saying much.

“My wife and I ordered the “Fish & Chips” When I tell you we have found our new spot for Fish in Taylor “We found our new spot” The fish was fresh & flakey, batter was light and crunchy, the tartar sauce had a good amount of relish in it. Not all mayo! Our dinner also came with soup, (3 to choose from) chicken noodle, lemon rice, and clam chowder. We chose clam chowder, very flavorful & packed with clams. This spot is right down the street from my grandkids house. I have been there many times with them but I did not put two & two together when we ordered our carry out. “We had a really rough week recently—our daughter had been in the hospital, our fridge went out, we were running on zero sleep, and work had been stressful. On the way home, we stopped at Portillo’s in Livonia for a late lunch, just trying to get through the day. The kind woman taking our order asked how our day was going, and my husband honestly said it had been rough because our daughter had just gotten out of the hospital. She immediately expressed genuine concern, told us she was sorry, and said she hoped our day would get better. When we pulled up to the next window, that same sweet employee came over and asked if we would like some free dessert. We thought that alone was incredibly thoughtful. Then she asked us to pull forward for a moment. Shortly after, the manager and a couple of other employees came outside with our food. The manager told us he was going to comp our entire meal and said he understood how hard it can be when your child is sick because he has kids too. They all wished us well and showed such kindness. I truly wanted to cry. My husband and I were exhausted physically and emotionally, and this simple act of compassion meant more than they probably realize. It completely turned our day around. If anyone from Portillo’s sees this—thank you. Your kindness made a difference for our family when we really needed it. If you ever think a small act of kindness doesn’t matter, think again.“

“For many decades this my favorite A&W location with a large retro dining room. Was closed for about a year until they found a new owner, so Happy. Sad they discontinued the phones at each booth that connects to Counter for placing your orders. No outside drive up order boards or canopy to park under, they come to your car with tablet waitress take order. Just go inside and have a seat, waitress come to table or line up at counter inside. This place really busy around lunch time. Yeah we had a coupon sheet, they let you use all you want. Got 2 Bacon Cheeseburger only 6 bucks good deal. She had really delicious Chicken Tender combo with Fries n Rootbeer. We added a Xtra order Tenders n Deep Fried Mushrooms absolutely fantastic. The mind blowing instant Addiction Sriracha Cheese Curds perfect Spicy I kicked up with A&W Spicy Sauce WOWED. A must try best ever eaten Cheese Curds for the Win. I stretched a couple Curds and placed on Burgers for another OMG. So Happy got a location near my house to pickup more Spicy Cheese Curds.
