“Starting off with the food, you can definitely tell it's cooked with love. This restaurant is one of the best authentic chinese restaurants in west michigan. The people who work there are kind and patient, though shortly after covid started they took away the buffet and installed a serving window, it's still one of the best places you'll try. The longest I've ever had to wait for my food was about 15 minutes and the food is always fresh and delicious. Not a single person I've recommended this place to has disliked it or not wanted to come back, in fact, it becomes their go to chinese restaurant. It can be pricey but their lunch special is amazing. The service is fast and above all just amazing.“

Awesome, small, tucked away gem that your friends will want to know about.
Great food. Fresh veggies. Great prices. The filled buns are a freaking awesome meal by themselves but not on the menu.

English maybe worse than mine, but be patient and understanding. It's well worth the effort.

The egg drop soup is very thick & yellow

Asking for 10/10 spicy gets peppers in your food but they're not ground or in oil so they don't ADD spicy unless you're outright eating the peppers :(( best when they cook the food into the pepper rather than just stirring the pepper in and this restaurant stirs it in, it seems :((

However the dish itself was good! Lots of shrimp in a combination dish and usually Shrimps are few and far between in combo dishes! The sauce was sweet and yummy. Veggies big!

“The best Chinese around. The veggie soup and hunan beef are 2 of my favorites. Both come highly recommended by yours truly. I've gone here for 20 years and it's still my top pick for a relaxing meal where you can actually hear the conversation you're having with the person sitting across from you.“

“Grand Lakes Chinese, thank you so much. I love the beef lo mein. Im a teacher and whenever I have a bad day, I get Chinese food. I used to go to other places in GR and they were fine, but Grand Lakes Chinese takes the cake. I know the moment I take a bite of the beef lo mein my day will get 100% better. “I have been here multiple times and the service has always been great, the people who work there are always incredibly kind and always have a smile on their face which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The food is a bit on the pricier side but it is very worth it considering I would say this is some of the best chineese food I've ever had. High quality food, and good workers, a wonderful establishment.

Parking: There's not a ton of parking spots but the area doest seem to be very busy most of the time so it's easy to park

Kid-friendliness: With a pretty wide selection of food there's a good chance you could find at least 1 thing your kid likes and friendly workers makes a non intimidating environment

“Absolutely superb pho, the best I've had in a long while!
This little restaurant is clean, accessible and parking is right out front. The place doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside, but don't be fooled, the food is outstanding.
My personal favorite is chicken pho with beef broth, (tastier than with just chicken broth IMHO) the add-ins are very fresh, service is fast and friendly.
Give this eatery a try, it might just become one of your faves, too!“

“Fast, fresh, and hit the spot! We purchased sweet n sour combination and general tso combination ($22 total), it was ready in 15 minutes. Only downside was that its cash only, but there's an ATM next door in the gas station. 10/10 recommend!“

“My family and I were visiting the area for a Hockey Tournament, staying at a nearby hotel. We noticed the Panda Express on the way back from a morning game. We didn't have to think twice about deciding on where to get lunch, and we were not disappointed. We chose the drive thru and ordered our different meals. The food was delicious, hot and very well proportioned. The fast drive thru service went very well indeed. The next time we are in Grand Rapids for another Hockey Tournament, we will most surely support this restaurant in Kentwood. Thanks again for a fantastic lunch.“
