“We ordered late night take out right before they closed. They were a little pushy, calling my phone 3 times on our way to pick up my order, just to see if we were coming. But the food was spectacular. Some of the best Chinese take out I've ever had.“

“I love the Orange Chicken from Panda Express - their signature dish! I also tried the new spicy bourbon chicken entree they had yesterday, and it tasted just great too. I'm back to being happy with this Panda Express location, things seem to have gotten better there vs. a couple years ago.“

However, the big gumball machine in the outer lobby really needs to be cleaned. I would not want my grandchild eating gum from something so filthy. It doesn't look like it's been cleaned in awhile.“

“We love eating here! Such great food and very accommodating for families. Very clean restaurant, bathrooms are also maintained nicely. We booked our table ahead of time on Google and when we walked in they were immediately able to seat us- HUGE help! All authentic food which I love but my daughter with Autism did not like at all, so something to keep in mind for those picky eaters. All kids meals come with a complimentary dessert at the end of your meal. Parking was a challenge on a Friday night. Overall great experience. We will definitely be back.“

“They are a little bit expensive I will say but you do get a lot of food for the price you pay, also the food is enough for two people and even have some left overs. First time trying them out and definitely was not disappointed at all. Very friendly, customer service was great and the lady who took our order was really sweet. Didn't take long at all for us to get our food, there are fast and prompt. Everything we ordered was all correct didn't have any issues. We will definitely be back again to try out some other menu items..Thanks again“

“My mother in law and her boyfriend turned my wife and I on to Fu Garden. All the meals we've ordered have been delicious. And most orders are ready for pickup within 15 minutes. So from the time I order and drive from my home in Standale, the food is ready. I'd recommend Fu Garden over a lot of Asian cuisine restaurants in my area.“

“I ordered the Mongolian Beef combination meal. Even though I ate in, I had to order from the front counter and the food was served in to-go packaging. I was left to get my own eating utensils and condiments. They have a VERY small selection of canned or bottled sodas. The first thing I noticed was that the gravy had been overthickened with corn starch/arrow root powder to the point of being gelatinous. In addition, the beef was of a consistency of having been way to tough to start and severely overboiled to tenderize it. Other than these issues, the depth and quality of flavor easily overcame the previously mentioned shortcomings. The amount of heat was perfect. Sadly though, no fortune cookies are included in the meal. If it hadn't been for the great flavors, I would have rated my visit with three stars instead of four. It is also the reason that I would go back and try other menu items. Next time I will avoid the beef and order chicken.“

“It's been years since my wife and I had quality food like this. She had lemon chicken while I had orange chicken. We also had the combination plate. Food was hot and very good. I even enjoyed the tea and I'm not a big fan of tea.

“China city is mainly to go I believe. Regardless you're gonna be very happy with their food. It's always hot and delicious. Hands down better than most in Grand Rapids. Anytime I want Chinese that's where I'm going. It avoids the disappointment in other Chinese restaurants“

“I decided to order food here because I saw that their lunch menu was very affordable and I’m a broke college student working downtown for the summer. I got the beef and broccoli order with the side of chicken fried rice- I just took my first bite and it’s wonderful! The flavor is awesome in the rice, beef and vegetables and my order came with an AWESOME amount of food as well! It was ready for me to pick up only 15 minutes after I called to order.

Look at the picture I’ve provided, I got all of this for a little less than $12! I will absolutely be coming again and getting my lunches from the Hong Kong Express! :)“

I used to go to other places in GR and they were fine, but Grand Lakes Chinese takes the cake. I know the moment I take a bite of the beef lo mein my day will get 100% better. “We ordered the Sweet n Sour chicken and shrimp lunch specials and they were as good as we remembered from the past! It came with soup fried rice and egg rolls or crab rangoons. I love when the rice actually sizzles when put into the broth! The rangoons were very flavorful and crispy. I was very happy with the veggies in the dish. Many places don't put them in. The atmosphere is cozy and I love the big windows they have now. Soft music was very peaceful. Will be back again!!“

“I have gotten food to go here a couple times and it’s always been good and as expected. The inside is pretty darkly/dimly lit, but who cares? The food is delish. I got the shrimp lo mein the last time I went and the portion size was so big I ate it for dinner, a midnight snack, and breakfast and lunch the next day! ?
The shrimp themselves were surprisingly flavorful and the texture was perfect. The noodles were good too.

Parking: It’s in a strip mall so there’s plenty of parking for all businesses.“

“So this review is just for take out, I've never eaten in. I've been satisfied with everything I've ordered. Chinese food is hard to review, because everyone has their preference. But I've ordered Chinese food from restaurants that cost twice as much, and tasted the same or worse. I was bummed that China Garden didn't have teriyaki chicken. But their BBQ chicken (I just like saying "chicken on a stick") is so crispy in a good way, that I want all my "chicken on a stick" to be like theirs! Also, they were open in a massive, everyone shut down everything, snow storm. So, I'll drive out of my way to go here.“

“Absolutely superb pho, the best I've had in a long while!
This little restaurant is clean, accessible and parking is right out front. The place doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside, but don't be fooled, the food is outstanding.
My personal favorite is chicken pho with beef broth, (tastier than with just chicken broth IMHO) the add-ins are very fresh, service is fast and friendly.
Give this eatery a try, it might just become one of your faves, too!“

“I recently discovered this place on accident. I've been here three times now and this may be my favorite new sushi restaurant in the area! The portions are decent compared to other locations, not the cheapest but not the most expensive. The two gentlemen that run this location are extremely nice and very friendly. Did I mention the food!? They have the best sushi rolls, nigiri and sashimi I've had recently. This is my new local area go-to for sushi, driving over from Wyoming!
