“Stopped in today for lunch with my daughter and son in law. First thing to notice is how clean this place is. I’m talking spotless. Our waitress, Nicole, greeted us with smiles and laughs. Everything ordered was fabulous, and hot. 10/10 for this place. We will come back!! The steak bites were so good. Chicken fingers were in house breaded, the brisket sandwich was so tender. I see there’s no new recommendations so I posting one.“

“This place is AMAZING! Walking into this bar is like walking into yesteryear. From the vintage cash register to the antique bar, the Cook Hotel bar is a blast from the past and a pleasant change of pace. Our bartender, Christina, was friendly, funny, and all about great service. Make no mistake: this place is not fancy. They have a basic beer selection (bottles & cans), serve their wine from boxes, and don’t offer any food. But they do have a full selection of liquor and you can order a fabulous pizza from Tivoli’s (across the street), have it delivered, and eat it in the bar. If you ever find yourself in Richmond, definitely check the Cook Hotel bar out! You’ll be glad you did!“

“I’m not one to really leave reviews because most places don’t impress me as much as this place did. My husband and I came here today for the first time. We were in the area and picked this place solely on a Google search. I cannot say enough good things about this place. He had the fish & chips and was very pleased with portion and the taste. I had the chicken parmesan and it was amazing! The chicken was so tender, the sauce was delicious and the portion was huge, easily 2 meals. We both had the french onion soup with our meal and this soup was probably the best french onion soup I have ever had. Also the warm bread served with our meals was so good! I also want to mention how amazing the service was. Our waitress was top notch! She went over the menu, never left us unattended and had a great personality. I highly recommend Commercial House and look forward to coming back again.“

“Have been here several times for good food and drinks but, this is the first time I'm leaving a review. We went here last night with friends and all of our kids. At one point all of our kids were playing pool and an employee or owner (not sure which position) had her dog with her. My daughter who has autism was very excited but in the mix she said something that could be perceived as rude but the lady with the dog did not react and seemed to let it go without judgment which I really appreciate. ?“

“So Last Thursday night I got the pizza! I was finished eating around 8pm. At midnight I was sick to my stomach. I did not drink alcohol. I had a ice tea. I believe I got food poisoning. Today is Sunday February 13 2022. I called the pretty told me that I was a liar. I will not be back.“
