“In Detroit for 2 nights and was looking for a spot to eat around my hotel - luckily I found Bucharest through Google Maps. The food was really good - I got the salad with chicken shawarma - the portion was insane! I didn’t take a picture but there was so much chicken (and I got the “small” size) It was really tasty and juicy and with the side of garlic sauce it really hit my cravings. The bartender (I sat at the bar) was super nice, friendly and awesome yet respectful and in general everyone out here seemed really welcoming. Prices were very fair and affordable (got 2 drinks as well)
Overall a very good and tasty experience and I’ll definitely come back here on my next visit to Detroit. Keep up the good work!“

“Always on their game the food portions since I have been a secret member of this restaurant has never decreased even. I’m aware of the prices of purchasing meat has gone up, but when I tell you that your chicken trauma has more meat than any restaurant I have attended is so true I ordered my daughter the chicken bite salad. It was so much meat in there that I was able to give two of my adult family members of full plate of meat, even with the lettuce included and still had enough salad to eat later on that afternoon so when I tell you, they quality the way they cook their food. Their garlic butter does not disappoint. I will happily spend $100 faithfully because I know that my food will not disappoint. It’s like a boyfriend that always is good and he never cheats. Chicken Quessadilla four of them with sour cream , I were upset I need to order a two .“

“So disappointing. Yearssssss ago, this place used to be my go to for Mediterranean dishes. After 2020, this place has consistently gone down hill. At first it was "hit or miss" but its all "miss". So much so that I went to be bed hungry vs eating my carry out. It's so unfortunate because they used to be so good. Yesterday was my last try, I bow out.“

“During my visit to Detroit for the AAG conference, I had the opportunity to have lunch at this place twice since it was nearby. The staff were very kind and helpful, and you can sit and relax there as long as you want; nobody rushes you out. The food was really delicious and very affordable compared to other restaurants in the area.“

“Now this place is amazing. It has everything you want. The food is fantastic. Lots to pick from and the guys behind the counter are not your typical store food chefs. They are making art with food. Your mouth will know the difference. Plus they have a full store of goods and drinks. It's a one stop shop for basically anything you need. The staff is very cool. One guy reminds me of Sal for Deadwood. It's fun just to visit. They also deliver if you don't want to go there. Reminds me of some southern cooking. One guybhas 25 yrs in the place cooking and creates some amazing dishes like chicken alfredo stuff potatoes. Or Lamb chops. Wingdigs are out of this world. Full kitchen with lots of choices.“

“I've been getting lunch here for about 7 years. The quality of food, the service, and how the staff gets to know their customers is what keeps me coming back. I live out of state now, but always make sure I get my shwarma bowl when I come to town for work. The owner and some staff remember me and always make me feel at home :)“
