“Two nights ago , my wife and I dined at Al Shallal, a Lebanese family owned and operated restaurant. We were warmly greeted by hostess/server Nourhan and offered menus. My wife ordered an absolutely delicious falafel plate that was accompanied by a marvelous tahini sauce and rice. I chose the perfectly spiced and prepared mixed grill (beef kabob, chicken tawook and beef kafta served with a pungent garlic sauce and rice. Our order included, as a prelude, a choice of salad or soup. We opted for the homemade (all items we ordered were made from scratch) chicken lemon soup: shredded chicken, and rice in a deeply flavorful lemony chicken broth (yum). Our servings were generously portioned and absolutely scrumptious. Following the meal, we ordered homemade, once again, baklava and a small pot of a cardamom infused Lebanese coffee. Food heaven. Nourhan was an absolutely wonderful server (daughter of the owners who were the chefs). We have dined at many Lebanese, Iraqi and Iranian restaurants. Al Shallal, in Dearborn Heights , Michigan ranks at the very top for quality, price, taste, presentation, authenticity and service. Thank you Nourhan and family.“

“I walked in and had a soujuk sub, chicken sub, and quesadilla. The food was really good and was made fresh, I was greeted at the door with smiles, the place was very clean and best of all the price of all of this was only 25 dollars. I was very amazed it was this good of a price because we don’t see that anymore nowadays. “Vedi nyss , I visited here for a meal years ago it was delicious, being in town this time I went for another go. I had Tabbouli one of my favorite opening Mediterranean dishes. The Herbs was as chopped as kale, the fish was flaky going with the texture of the greens. Hearty I vacuumed it !! Service was questionable and I glinted to some scuffs during my approach. could be just as warm to strangers as it is good for regulars. It's no room for coldness as that in a restaurant. “This was my first time at the location in Southgate. The parking lot is small, but the food is well prepared and fresh. There are kiosk inside to place your own order. You can pay with credit card or you can order at the counter and pay cash. The food was delicious and the portions can be spread over several options for lunch/dinner. I couldn't eat all my food because I got full so I saved some for dinner and some for lunch the next day. I give this restaurant a thumbs up🙂“

“Mashalla this is the best restaurant I have ever went to in my entire goddman life! Like, sheesh bro, calm down with the quality and tenderness of your chicken, my mouth exploded of joy when I devouered this divine dish! Allah must have bestowed this chef with his extraordinary cooking skills. Just absolutlely fabulous!
And my god, the atmosphere was just something else! The prison vibes were so accurate I felt like I was never gonna get out of this place, although I actually forgot that I have indeed murdererd someone and deserve to be in here! Absolutely crazy.
Also the variety of the food was great! Chicken and shrimp are only some of the few extravagant choices on the menu, but they are by far my absolute favorites (although I thought they tasted quite similar).
And the service was also ambsolutely amazing! The waiter (also the cook) was kind enough to provide me with a menu as soon as I entered and cleared a table for us by scooping up the remains of previous guests' food with a plastic tablecloth and making it magically dissapear like a wizard! And such grace in his movements! Truly the mark of a professional at work!
All in all the best restaurant experience I have ever had in my life!

But we usually split the platter for 2 when we are both eating here because it lets you try multiple things and gives you way more food. we always have leftovers so we get to eat more of this amazing food later on. All the meat has been juicy and tender. We love the rice with the almonds in it. Everything is just delicious! Can't wait to come back. I want to try other things because they have so many things that sound good but we also love what we get already so it's so hard to switch it up! lol Might have to try something new next time though just to see what else we like.
