“I've tried so many different sandwiches, subs, the salad, fries. I love it all. And I'm picky! I'm Lebanese so I know what a good sandwich tastes like. I love their subs and I love being able to customize them. I like omitting the mayo and replacing it with their ranch in many of the subs try it, you won't regret it! Overall, a solid sandwich place.“
“Excellent food, staff, and atmosphere. Pretty good value too considering the high quality of food. My wife and I love to split a full order of deboned chicken with rice. We get at least two meals each out of that. If you're not getting anything that big I'd also recommend either a shawarma (choice of roasted chicken, beef, or lamb), a shish kabob sandwich (choice of grilled beef or lamb), or a shish tawook sandwich (grilled chicken).“
“One of the best food I ever had we ordered steak taco , chicken taco , shawarma fries , steak wrap his garlic sauce is so good you won't even get the garlic smell , service is amazing owner was so generous and welcoming definitely coming back with my family easy 10/10“
“Excellent food! The salads are delicious. The mixed plate is very tasty and feeds more than one. Prices for dinners range in the $15-$20 for mostly a very good carry out business. The service is good. Be prepared to wait a little because the food is made fresh. Mostly an excellent carry out venue.“
“Delightful service, delicious food, and vegetarian friendly. Ali takes so much pride in being welcoming and making sure the meal is the star of the experience. Don't leave without trying the lentil soup, the falafel, and the teaVegetarian options: The staff gave information about vegetarian options during service“
“Very nice inside, very nice customer service! The warm bread they make fresh, was everything, soo good! My dinner I purchased was still good even though the chicken breast was a lil undercooked on some bites but rice and veggies ND majority was fire. I also added a Pina coloda w/ banana pineapple and honey smoothie. Soooo good. I will definitely come back ND support ND try other dishes.“
“1st time experience! I got invited with coworkers for lunch. I got the shush kabob, lentil soup, and cajin fries. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. Went back for dinner the same day and got the kufta and chicken shrwarma and it was packed with flavor. Sara the host was welcoming, inviting, and kind. The hospitality was like a family oriented vibe. And Chef Hassan is the heart of the kitchen; cooked the food flawlessly. The staff made sure you were satisfied before you left. Definitely going there again! To be open for 25 years shows their loyalty and dedication for their customers. Food was fresh, delicious, and the price was affordable can't beat it.“
“My husband and I came here for the first time and the food was amazing! My husband is on a low sodium diet and they catered to his needs! We felt comfortable eating in this establishment... It's small but quaint! Gotta check them out!!❤️Dietary restrictions: They were accommodating my husband's low sodium diet“
“I love baba ghanoush with a fiery passion. This place had great baba ghanoush! Delicious lamb falling off the bone. And fantastic shawarma chicken AND beef! Don’t like the looks fool you, this place is rocking. The service was fantastic, all of the staff was incredibly friendly and made extra sure we were satisfied with our food. I WILL be coming back for sure.“
“Moana and Abraham are the sweetest people you can meet. The food is very tasty, from shawarmas, lamb chops, to deboned chicken. Everything I've eaten has been satisfying. They offer dine in or carryout. Stop in and give them a try! Let them know Lamar sent you.“
“Amazing food and great service just saw the owner give something for a customer daughters birthday it’s a friendly experience I would reccomend this to anyone . You’re missing out if you don’t come here I wish I was a resident of this “
“I was in town on Spring Break with my family and we wanted something we normally don't get back at home in Nashville. These folks at the Sahara Restaurant were very welcoming, kind, and respectful. Oh, and they make pretty good food, too!Kafta/Kofte has been my favorite from the Middle Eastern/Mediterranean cuisines and it was a shame that my beat kafta/kofte place back home went out of business ten years ago. When I saw it on the menu here, I had to order it. This was the best kafta I ever had!“
“We have used Al Forno for catering 3 large high school grad parties. They were amazing to work with and everyone complimented us on the delicious food! We also had plenty of food for our parties of 150 people. Thank you! Looking forward to using you for our next event!“
“The food and service were excellent. The dining area is a little small, but has a combination of maybe five high-top and low-top tables. It's one of those places where you place your order at the counter and they will bring your food to you at your table. We had a falafel wrap and a chicken shawarma, and everything was delicious. They also have a very cool collection of old hardware and contraptions mounted on the wall throughout that are fun to check out while you wait for your food.“
“Just finished a wonderful Middle Eastern Family Dinner ordered from Beirut Gardens! We had a great variety of food fit for vegaterians and meat eaters. Everyone goes away happy, the food was top shelf and very plentiful. Thank you Beriut Garadens for a wonderful Easter “
“Listen! If you haven't been to this hidden gen in ROMULUS you're missing out on some AWESOME food!!! GENERIUS PORTIONS and I had plenty to eat and take home. Customer service was AMAZING and the ambiance is family friendly. Depending on the time of day (dinner), I'm glad my party of 4 got in when we did. All of a sudden the line was out the door for dine in and carry out. Give them a try if in the area. You will not be disappointed!“
“Wow this place was on POINT with its food! I have never tasted this good of tender meat ever! When I went there with my family, we decided to get Fahsah and the Sheba for 4, which is WAY MORE than 4 people can eat. The Fahsah came out piping hot and the meat just melted in your mouth! I couldn’t get enough of it! Then the Sheeba for 4 was a lot of food FOR 5 people! Plan accordingly if you don’t want extra, but the dish was awesome. Their were a mix of lamb and meats, potatoes, and rice. All the meats were hot and tender, and the potatoes were cooked perfectly, And the rice was just on point and brought the whole dish together! The service was AWESOME! The waiters and waitresses were extremely nice and helpful, and were ready to help. The Atmosphere could be better though. The building isn’t being maintained at its best, shown by the hole in the celling. It could be maintained better, but the food makes up for it! Would come again!“
“It’s the best restaurant to go to with your friends and family hands down .. and all of the employees were very friendly and polite, also There prices are amazing. I would highly recommend people to go and check out this great and amazing restaurant. Number 1 place in all of Michigan ??❤️❤️??“
“We wanted to check out a place without looking at reviews or doing any research and we chose Alex's. Even with two toddlers, everyone was very accommodating and polite, always making sure plates were set where little hands can't throw them, taking away things as we needed, and giving us extra garlic and pita multiple times without even needing to be asked. The service was above top notch and the food was amazing. Definitely will be returning!Parking: Roughly 15 spots plus other parking lots near by.Kid-friendliness: Staff was very accommodating towards the littles we brought.“
“03/02/24: Late review, but nonetheless, came looking for something different and decided to try this place on said date. It has some nice decor and is clean. Waitstaff was attentive and checked in occasionally, despite it being peak hours. Dined in around 8pm. I got in quickly since it was just me, but there can be a bit of a wait as there seemed to be a lot of families(a couple of groups of families were waiting), so be ready if you decide to dine in late afternoon/early evening.Food was fantastic. The starter flatbread with the two garlic aioli(?) sauces(normal + spicy) was hot, fresh, and palatable. Got the Fattoush Salad, the Malek Stir-Fry(chicken), and the Chicken Sajji with a strawberry smoothie. All dishes were delicious and full of flavor. The salad was a bit too vinaigrette-ty for my tastes though. The poultry dishes were savory and the Sajji had that right tinge of heat.“
“Love the chicken shwarmas from here, moist and fresh chicken, and a large portion of it too. The hummus and pita is also another favorite of mine. The employees are also really nice and take the time to ask you about your day. Fresh food, friendly service, highly recommend!“
“Can not say enough good things about this place. ALWAYS fresh and ALWAYS good. Been going here since they opened 6 7 year's ago maybe more. If ur in the area u must try. I promise you won't be disappointed. Don't let the fact that's it inside the gas station fool you.“
“I enjoyed dining in at the butchers grill. The restaurant is clean and feels inviting. I enjoyed the food however the chicken needs work, it’s always too dry. The grilled combo, rueben egg roll, and mashed potato with mushroom sauce are all great. Will be back.“
“Get the lemon oregano chicken kabob... everything is delicious here; fattoush, lentil soup and fresh made juice bar. We just ate here again on 12-24-23 and had shish tawook our favorite, lamb kebob, imjadra, salad and the lamb vegetable soup.... everything was so delicious ?. We come here on the way to our flight and also on the return flight ✈️....Vegetarian options: I get the salad, lentil soup and imjadra dish. They have 3 other dishes to choose from that are also delicious ?I just ate here again on 4-14-24 and it was so good to have a delicious meal before heading to the airport. I also brought some boxes and packed half to eat on the plane ✈️... Great way to eat good food on the flight“
“Ramadan mubarak! We just had our iftar at this restaurant, and we really enjoyed it. This is our third time in michigan, and we just heard about this Yamani restaurant, so we decided to try it. The food was delicious, and the people there are very nice.. many thanks to Mohmmad ( Iraqi guy) he was very nice and patient ?“
“Just tried your new Ft Wayne location yesterday. Having lived in Saudi Arabia for years, your food is as close to legit as I have found since moving back to the USA!! The chicken Schwarma and tabouli were soooo good!! The falafel was the best I have ever had!!! The pita bread was excellent that the Schwarma was made with!!! We will def make the 1.5 hour drive to go back and do it frequently!!!“
“This place is awesome! Clean, friendly service and amazing food. We tried the Gyro, lemon rice soup, French fries. Everything was delicious, soup was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The gyros(beef/lamb) were full of meat hot right off the grill. French fries were fresh, hot and very potatoey! And a coke machine, love these so many flavors to choose from. Cannot wait to go back and try grape leaves, fattoush, and beef kabob pita. Yummy!!!“
“La Burma and La Roma Damas have the best shawarma, and Al-Makdous deserves all the money. It is better than their restaurant, Your Legs is Madous, and the cleanliness and elegance are brought from Damascus. The tradition and broasted meat you will only find in their delicacies are as beautiful as you can imagine.“
“Tried this restaurant last night. They apologized for the wait because they were very busy and we were told the food would take a little longer. The wait for both was slightly longer, but it so worth the wait. The food was incredible and and plenty of it. I had the chicken mixed with pine nuts, rice with almonds, grilled vegetables and hummus. I don't come from around here but I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.“
“Amazing Vegetarian food. Tried Falafal sandwiches and Hummus. Great price and taste. Much better sandwiches than a few middle eastern restaurants in Dearborn Warren Ave area. Highly recommend. Clean safe Little dine in area with amole parking. Nothing fancy but the food makes up for it.Vegetarian options: Multiple vegetarian options“
“I ordered 2 chicken Shwarmas and a small meat stuffed grape leaves online and it was a very simple process and food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. The Chicken Shwarmas were a home run. I'm a big fan of the garlic sauce that they put in the Shwarma (it's garlicky but not over powering), also the Grape Leaves were good. The only downfall with the Grape Leaves was way to much rice to meat filler ratio and also I would suggest if they added yogurt dip or garlic sauce to the Grape Leaves order it would not disappoint. I will definitely be back to this location.“
“Best falafel I have ever had! I was out shopping, stopped by to get a takeaway lunch and picked up the falafel plate (small). $6 and change, so great value! Just amazing--fresh and great value--34 good size patties, lettuce, picked turnips, pickles, tomatoes and parsley--with a small tub of tahini sauce and 2 flat bread. I have had a lot of falafel in my day, but I can honestly say this is the best I have had--fresh and not soaked in oil, spices are perfect. Nice friendly staff, too. Going to make it a habit of visiting often.“
“I got the meat shawarma and it’s my favorite from their place. Never dry and loaded with veggies. My brother got their chicken sub, and he really enjoyed it. Overall, they got great food with a great atmosphere. The chiefs in the back are so nice and very welcoming. 10/10 definitely would come back.Vegetarian options: They have a bomb falffel sandwich.“
“My husband brought me and our two kids to dine here. We ordered a whole chicken/roasted, yellow rice, fatoush salad, spicy garlic potatoes, garlic pita bread, and mint lemonade drinks. The food was incredible, very aromatic, and delicious. The garlic pita bread was amazing!!! Our new fav spot!“
“I go here ALL the time. The food is fresh. The price is fair especially since you get huge portions of food.I even buy the family platters and eat off of them for a week of meal prep. The meats are so tender. The pita bread is always soft and fresh. The garlic is perfect.I always pick a bowl with all my favorite things at least once a week. I order a family platter at least once a month. They have order ahead options, curb pickup, and various places that will deliver.Huge dining room with plenty of room to eat without feeling too close to anyone else. They have a point/reward based on your purchase and are tracked with your phone number. It adds up fast. So it is worth participating in.They do have half-off bowls during their happy hour. It's worth it.“
“An absolutely fantastic amazing restaurant the staff the owner absolutely wonderful people, I will say their food and some of the most excellent I've ever had for my restaurant there's shawarma sandwich and lentil soup are to die for, there's just Sam is absolutely off the charts excellent very great person and his skill in the food he prepares definitely way above expectation, I will definitely ordering from here repetitively. I definitely recommend trying the amazing Shish Kabob Express in Allen Park, it's definitely a great everything“
“Al-Rada Bakery is a small Iraqi grocery store and bakery in the little Iraqi community around Warren/Greenfield. They sell a variety of different Middle Eastern spices and bottled/canned sauces in a couple of aisles. To the left side as you walk in, they have a delectable looking display of baklava and other treats (I believe that Shatila Bakery is their supplier, so you know these will be delicious). Along the left wall is a line of freezers, some of which include large bags of frozen samoon and kubba along with other baked treats. To the other side, they have some prepared food in trays and a section of seafood including a little pond in the back with live fish. We were too full from lunch to try any of their prepared food, but we came here specifically to get their bread. As soon as we walked in around 1 PM on a weekend we could smell the fragrance of fresh bread being baked in the tanoor and oven to the right side of the store. Overall, we got 5 pieces of Samoon (Iraqi Bread) and 2 pieces of Khubz (Arabic Bread/Iraqi Pita). Total cost was $5.50. They don't post prices anywhere and as other reviews on Google also state, I feel like they just charge what they feel like charging. The person that rang us up wasn't very confident when he told us the cost and then ended up short changing us by 5 cents. The bread was hot and fresh, coming out directly from the tanoor and samoon oven in a continuous flow. The khubz was almost too hot to the touch while many of the samoon were still puffed up from the heat on the interior. There are some paper bags on the side for the samoon but strangely only plastic for the khubz. While they are warm, be sure not to bag the bread up in plastic or condensation will start to build and the bread will become soggy. The samoon has a nice fragrance and a very nice chew to it - the ingredients are very simple, but very delicious. The khubz, on the other hand, has some bran or some more earthy element mixed in and is baked in a tanoor, giving it a more complex charred taste. It has some uneven crispy parts and more chewy parts giving a fantastic textural contrast. Both types of bread are perfect to eat filled with meat and veggies, or used for dipping, or our favorite method of just eating it straight while it's still fresh and hot from the oven. I think this is where Edulis Grill across the street gets their bread from. I'll have to confirm the next time I eat there. Overall I recommend going to Al-Rada Bakery to pick up fresh bread. Just be aware that they don't seem to have consistent pricing. Edit: I added this entry as Al-Rada Bakery. It can also be translated to Al-Rida or Al-Reda according to google translate. I don't know anything about Arabic, so I'm not sure what is right.“
“This place is TOP TIER!!!! My first time coming here was at least 9 years ago and they still have the same GREAT QUALITY, FRESH FOOD!!! I often stop in to get there beet juice or carrot juice blends with my FRUIT COCKTAIL!!! (OTHER WORLDLY) You have got to try their FRESH fruit cocktail!!!! Its truly charged the way I look at a fruit cocktail. They have AMAZING FOOD & DRINKS, Definitely try this place!!!!!“
“I gave it a rating of 4/5 mainly because of the lack of variety. We visited during Ramadan; the iftar buffet was delicious and well-prepared. We adore this restaurant; it's not overly crowded and offers a tranquil ambiance. However, the only downside is the limited variety. We were hoping for options like pastries, kubbeh, samosas, or more Ramadan-inspired desserts. Nonetheless, it remains a lovely family restaurant, and we wish you continued success.“
“Everything about this restaurant is top-notch. The food is amazing. The staff is kind, friendly, informative, and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and beautiful. I've gone 3 times in the past month and am so excited for the patio to open once it warms up. 10/10 would highly recommend.“
“This is the Lebanese food of my childhood- like straight out of the kitchen of someone 's grandma & it's very close to work- Very friendly man running the floor- it's a smaller place but has a back area for busier times I ordered enough food for 4 and took it home to my parents - we all ate for $50, including juices This is my new favorite neighborhood spot“
