“I took my son there to eat, the food was OK not great but also not terrible; it was pretty much-overpriced middle of the road.I feel like if you are going to charge pretentious prices for food, it should be of the highest quality, not middle-grade food. Here is an example: my son and I ate there for 36 dollars so 18 dollars each. The sandwiches we ordered said they are $19.98 for two subs on the menu board they were $9.99 each, but we ended up paying an additional $16.02 for 2 french fries, and 2 regular-sized drinks, and taxes on the meal. I personally feel that Subway or Firehouse subs have better food prices that match up more to the quality + price on their menu. The truth is for $36.00 we could have eaten lots of different places and gotten better food choices. I will say the workers were very nice and friendly, and the restaurant itself was spotless and clean. However, we were there at 3 pm and there was only one other set of people eating inside. I do understand with prices like that, that not everyone can afford to eat there. I did ask the man and his family if he ate there often and he said no, and he went on to say he was not going back, they went there and ate but paid for the meal because they were already there but didn't intend to return because it was so pricey to eat there. In their situation, they had 2 small children and a husband and wife. I will be surprised if this restaurant lasts a lot longer, in this economic downfall. If you look at my photos you will see the sub isn't a big sub, not much on it. They have one added layer of trickery to get you to pay for their over priced food. They take your order but don't tell you how much it is, all they say is you need to pay at the other counter so you walk down ot the other end of the restaurant and pay when you get the final price, you may feel like your invested in the process because you went through an extra step in paying the bill. Just remember restaruants spend huge amounts of money in setting up their restaurants, they know the psychology of the restaurant flow and how it will help them in getting you to pay way more than you normally would for mediocre food.“

“Wonderful worker there tonight on 2/5/23 around 5pm. She was absolutely sweet. I have a big family and order 7 subs. Normally we get some kind of grunt or attitude when saying how many subs. She was cheerful and said we would get through it together. She made everything perfect, with no attitude and a smile on her face. Didn't get her name but big kudos to her for being so pleasant.“

“I have been coming here since I was in high school and you can call it nostalgia if you want, but in my opinion this is the best subway around. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly but even after not returning for nearly 5 years (just wasn't ever in this area due to moving) the owners still remembered me BY NAME. Name another establishment that values their customers that much. Always has been one of my favorite places near Penn High School and probably always will be. The food is exceptional and the service is outstanding every time!“

“I wanted to share that the cashier that had his hair pulled back in a bun with a nose piercing went above and beyond while having my food prepared. I have a gluten sensitivity and I really appreciate him having the lady make my sandwich change her gloves. He also checked to see if a sauce on one of the wraps had gluten in it. If you are fond of cheesesteaks, Charlie's Cheesesteaks is a solid option in the University Park Mall in South Bend. It was warm, cheesy and the employees cool. Everything worked seamlessly considering they just reopened after the quarantine shutdown. This is the only cheesesteak place I'd ever been to and considering it's in the mall, I doubt this is the best I'll ever have. However, they definitely were a good place to have my first one. I don't know if I would be a regular as I have my favorite food place in the mall already, but I can see myself coming back.“

They have great options for a variety of tastes.... fresh fruit, salads, cheese, sushi, as well as fried chicken, soup, sandwiches, doughnuts, muffins, chips, and candy all right at your convenience near the Starbucks.The one suggestion I would make is that they need to stock the pint size Crystal Springs Creamery milk somewhere near the deli. “The service has always been good at this location. I've never had to wait long, even at standard mealtimes, and I've never had problems with the food. The Subway/gas station combo isn't optimal for dining in, but that's really my only complaint. Otherwise, it's a pretty standard Subway restaurant. If you're looking for a Subway, this is a good option.“
“I stopped in yesterday, May 30, around 1ish.Not real busy, 1 couple, a gentleman, myself and another lady. The young girl waiting on us was a very pleasant and friendly girl. Apparently she was the only one working. She had to do everything herself and handled each customer very nicely. Finally my turn, everything going fine. The door opened and the place began to fill up. You could see in her eyes that she was about to become overwhelmed. I truly felt sorry for her and do hope someone finally came into help her. Bottom line is, for a young girl I was impressed with the way she handled her customers and I hope all of the customers were patient with her by realizing the situation. Hopefully the manager realizes and appreciates her as an employee. I know I truly appreciated her and I did tell her to just breathe, she was doing a great job.“
