“Must do if you've come to the Traverse City area and want to taste Michigan wine. These folks know what they're doing and are making great wine. We enjoyed a relaxed tasting in the garden and liked all the wines (more than we expected!). The service was easygoing (in a good way) and informative. We also tried a cider that was complex and earthy. Don't sleep on those. While the reds were on the pricey side, the Rieslings are very reasonable and absolutely worth taking a bottle home. Or more than a bottle if you aren't flying!”

“Shannon, Tyler, and Nick are class acts. True artists that really know what they’re doing and will leave you speechless and broke if you’re not careful. Can’t help but return every time while “up north.” They’re that great and that consistent. GO HERE if in need of indulgent libations. I would be shocked if you were disappointed.

“Awesome brews and crew. Osario's and Flannigan's Goat serve up some very tasty food. Great indoor/ outdoor venue. Summertime music is great too. The customers are friendly and fun. I highly recommend both of Short's facilities. So thankful that we have this in Elk Rapids.”

Between four of us we had the swordfish special, crawfish étouffée, shrimp and grits, chicken Alfredo, cobbler, and bananas foster. Every bite was better than the one before - we all agreed! “We have had great service here in the past and great food. They even made a special pasta for my granddaughter. But last night was a disaster. They were out of so many options on the menu. When we ordered our burgers she said she cannot guarantee they will be made the temperature we requested because they are so busy. Wow, really? When ordering drinks so many options of beers not available. She didn’t know what brands of scotch and vodka were available. We asked for a drink menu but she couldn’t be bothered with that but continued to muddle through her iPad lists. When our food came, I had asked for my burger to be without bun. But they didn’t include the aoli sauce so I asked for some for my burger. My husbands wings came out very dry and just a dab of sauce in the bottom of the basket. So he asked for more buffalo sauce. Waitress said “oh they were tossed in sauce already. Maybe they were just sitting for awhile waiting for the other food to be done.” WOW, really? Well they are too dry. Need more sauce. Then when the bill came they charged us $2.00 for the sauces! We complained and she said she had to charge us. We asked to speak to the manager. SHE argued with us. She said she watched them toss our wings in the 2 oz of sauce and they were fine. I said there absolutely was no white aoli sauce on my burger. She said she would be ok taking that charge off. But since when do you argue with a customer? Especially someone who is a regular and have gotten those same things in the past and had appropriate sauces. Just too bad that even a manager would act this way. We hate being nickel and dimed for everything. Give it a try. They normally do have good food. Most of the time we have good service but last night was very trying.”

“Went into Stone Hound Brewery for the first time. I have to say and keep in mind I don’t talk much or spread my thought process often. So moving on. I had the nachos and the chicken sandwich. If ur in the area and can support a locally owned business. By far this is one I would recommend. Kudos to stone hound for the fantastic food and beer. Awesome!! If you are apprehensive about trying a vegan option….don’t be….this place is awesome!”

“Cute little stop on our Old Mission Peninsula drive. Salted maple latte was delicious and the outdoor pet friendly lawn was very relaxing. Highly recommend stopping here on your road trip or vacation.”

“The outside is inviting but the middle aged lady inside taking the orders was straight up rude and their ordering process is out of the whack. Basic sandwiches. Soups were phenomenal. Basic wine list. Overall not very pleasant.”

“Our love story started here on Old Mission Peninsula in 2020. Little did I know that 5 years later, I would also marry my husband here. Bonobo holds a very special place in our hearts and is one of our favorite vineyards that we visit each time we come to Northern Michigan. We are also wine club members here because their wine is our favorite!

We made sure to stop here on my bachelorette party in June. All my bridesmaids understood my love for Bonobo!

It only made sense that 2 days before our wedding in August we would host a private family dinner here too in The Library Room. The food and service was incredible - the attention to detail throughout planning the decor, the menu, and the wine selections! Couldn’t have asked for a better night.

Then the night before the wedding, my husband and I decided to make one last stop at Bonobo after our rehearsal dinner which was further down the peninsula - our last drink before becoming husband and wife. Our photographer of course came along and got some of my favorite pictures of the whole weekend here!

Then on Saturday, our ceremony was at St Joseph Catholic Church (right next door from Bonobo). Many guests had a glass of wine after the ceremony at Bonobo and enjoyed the views of the vineyards and the bay before our cocktail hour + reception at Delamar.
