“I have been going every week just to get the bowl with firecracker shrimp and beef…. Which is just a promotional ordeal.. if you go in and get your food you always can see what you’re getting… That’s the key!!!! This last time tho I was told this is going to be it for this firecracker beef and shrimp so I didn’t get as much shrimp or beef but it’s still my favorite… the staff and the manager were very friendly!!!!“

“Best time to go is before 12pm or around 5:30pm. For the most part it's consistently good, egg rolls are usually chewy and once in a while the food has been sitting so long it's dried out on top. A bit pricey. It's a much better deal at the buffet across the street. It sure is nice to be able to have Chinese when your hubby doesn't like it - he has Whopper at BK and we're both happy.“

“Remodeled dining area is beautiful. We had no idea they were updating. I was anticipating if the food would match in quality. It was really really good. I had the Pad Thai. Don't worry about, too "spicy". It's not. Just very tasty. I got the spice on the side to add as I wished.“

“Community Spotlight: Tang’s China House. A Sarnia Gem Reclaimed At Brownstones, we believe in celebrating the people who pour their hearts into this industry and few do it with more passion than Lillian Tang, the proud owner of Tang’s China House. Recently, Lillian made the bold and heartfelt move to buy back the very restaurant her parents built from scratch, continuing a legacy that helped shape downtown Sarnia’s food scene. From the moment you step inside, you feel it this isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a transportive experience. The rich aromas, the authentic decor, the warm hospitality it all speaks to something rare: a place where tradition meets hustle, and excellence is served on every plate. Lillian doesn’t just understand the grind she lives it. Always present, always smiling, always raising the bar. Her leadership and energy radiate through her team and her food. The result? A menu that’s top notch, a space that’s vibrant, and a clientele that keeps coming back because they know it’s the real deal. If you haven’t been to Tang’s recently, you’re missing out on one of Sarnia’s most iconic culinary experiences. This isn’t corporate dining this is homegrown excellence, led by someone who embodies everything that makes local ownership matter. Hats off to Lillian and her incredible team. From one independent powerhouse to another, we see you, we respect you and we encourage everyone to support Tang’s China House, where the flavour is fierce and the legacy is alive.“

“I have Beef and Broccoli from China Wok once a week and it is always delicious. They are always busy. It is no longer a dine in restaurant, carry out only. I gave one star for atmosphere because there isn't any and very few words of English are spoken.“

“We started with the won ton soup which was delicious and fresh. The freshly cut shallots added a tasty texture to the soup. The egg roll were probably the best egg rolls I’ve ever had. Crunchy on the outside and inside… That spice or combination they use was so flavorful. The chicken fried rice was perfect. And finally the sweet and sour chicken, wow, just wow. It was not your typical chicken balls, it was a nice chunk or real chicken with thin crunchy layer of batter. We were served fast. The authentic Chinese server had a hard time expressing herself in English, and had an incredulous expression but it was actually humorous. The atmosphere was interesting, the loud music from the bar next door spilled into the restaurant every time the door was open. But in the restaurant there was light music playing on their PA system. Oddly, They chose modern country as atmospheric music, which happened to be my favorite music style.I did not give it 5 stars because we were hoping for a buffet but it was all à la carte.Don’t hesitate to experience this innocent looking place full of flavor. I’ll certainly go back.
Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair spot was available but there is no button to open the door“
