“We were celebrating my mother-in-laws 83rd birthday, she had dined with you several times...it was our first. We arrived to a table decorated with confetti, nice touch. Jasmina was our waitress, she was attentive and very focused on the birthday girl, that provided a nice touch. “I went here as part of a funeral luncheon and Mama Mia's did not disappoint! Staff were very courteous and receptive to our large party. They made sure drinks were filled and topped off and the food was superb! The manager(?) was even kind enough to sit down and offer their condolences and also let everyone try their delicious pizza!! “Small restaurant with a nice ambiance. Our meals were a hit and miss. Bread and olive oil were phenomenal. Kale Caesar, Brussel Sprouts and the Chicken Piccata were all incredible. Noodles tasted like they were made from scratch, which is always a plus. The Chicken Piccata was a limited time special on their “Italian American” feature.I was not a fan of the Pepperoni Pizza, perhaps as a personal preference I did not like flavor combo with the hot honey. We also got Lamb Chops. They tasted very good, but not good enough to warrant the $65 price for only 3 pieces. Will likely return to try their other menu items.“
“I hadn’t been to Corsi’s in years ( over 40 years), I drove past it and remembered how wonderful it was when I was much younger. My husband and I went for dinner on Saturday 7/22/23, and I have to say the food was DELICIOUS!My husband ordered chicken Marsala and he was hooked! It was that good.I ordered spaghetti/meat sauce with meatballs. The meatballs are quite large, moist and cooked to perfection. Each of dinner came with salad and warm bread.We had the pleasure to meet with one of the family members, Mrs. Corsi, who was exceptional. She is personable, customer oriented and professional. She gave us a quick history of the restaurant, and treated us warmly and like VIP’s. While dining my husband and I saw her mingling with guests and treating everyone like they were dear friends!We were truly impressed with her reaction with her guests!The restaurant is definitely worth frequenting, the food is delicious, the hostess is warm and welcoming.Thank you Mrs. Corsi for making our dinner experience special!We will return soon !“

My search for that authentic experience ended today. “I tried this restaurant as it was recommended by a few local people in my community. In fact I tried it a few times to make sure that I really liked it before writing a review. We have ordered a few different dishes for takeout. The lasagna and the chicken Parmesan are delicious. We've ordered those dishes a couple of times now and portion portion sizes are generous and the quality of the food is delicious. Even when I drive the 10 minute drive home the food is still nice and hot. Overall you get great value for the price you pay--everything is reasonablly priced. Yesterday I tried the chicken tacos in a flour tortilla for take out. Might just be the very best chicken taco I've ever had. The takeout packaging goes the extra step of wrapping the take-out package in cellophane wrap to prevent spills during transit. The inside has several booths to sit at although during Covid it was empty, understandably so. But it looks very clean and neat. Ordering over the phone is easy. I like that they repeat the entire order back to you to make sure they have it correct. When they say the food will be ready in 15 minutes you can bet it will be ready in 15 minutes. When I walked in to pay they were packaging up my take-out order. I'm glad I discovered this hidden gem on the southwest corner of Joy Road and Hix. We will definitely put this restaurant in our rotation of frequented dining spots.“

“I love this lunch option. They are on Schoolcraft, in the heart of the warehouses. Not much else around that is so quick, cheap and tasty. This place makes me happy. Laurel has pre-made sandwiches and salads. Fruit salad. Desserts. However, I almost always get a daily special here. From 11-2 they feature 2 different main dishes, 2 carb sides, a vegetable and 2 soups. You can mix and match to your content. I usually get the main with two sides. It comes with freebie bread and butter on request. I love the bread so I always get some. Some of my fave mains are the Italian sausage, the turkey and any of their Italian chicken dishes. I love their mashed potatoes and various pastas but my fave side ever is the peas with mushrooms and pearl onions. Really I haven't had any clunkers, just some things are more to my particular taste than others. I love the rotating menu. They post specials daily on Facebook around 10am so you can plan accordingly. It's super convenient, they get you in and out in a flash. The people working there are friendly and sweet. Our favorites so far are the lasagna (hubbie says it's the best he's ever had), spaghetti carbonara "alla Bocelli" (w0w!), linguine aglio olio (another w0w!!), cannelloni, and the best manicotti I've ever tasted. There are so many other good dishes to try, it's always a tough decision when ordering. On Wednesdays with the purchase of 2 full course dinners, you can get a bottle of wine for half price. Cheese was flavorful, creamy and stringy. The perfect amount of pizza sauce and the crust was the best I have had in a long time.. crispy, fresh, great taste with no hardened areas. The Benito Bread was delicious and went well with the garlic cream cheese dip. Can my dad have anything negative to say about the experience it would be that the cream cheese dip was a little fluffy instead of dense. I also ordered the apple cheesecake pizza however I'll have to update my post with my opinion on that after my stomach processes all the pizza and bread. By the way, their hours aren't as late as I have needed places to be open but they are far more accommodating than almost all the other restaurants that close at 10pm. I hopped on Google saw the pictures of the inside and thought this might not be fancy enough for an official date night but that's where I was wrong. I walked in and the place was empty and I got a tad nervous yet again because although I will woof down just about anything she on the other hand is picky about a few things. After we were seated I felt slightly uncomfortable because the menu was fancy but I didn't feel as though I had to be dressed in my best to be here. As we waited they kicked into the perfect wingman mode lol....they turned the romantic music on.... the chef sent over a few items for us to try and every single bit of everything I ate was fantastic! I got the shrimp she got steak and for the first time in 13 years I watched my girlfriend eat every bite she put in her mouth lol...and she added not a single seasoning. It's very rare nowadays to go out to a place and feel like the place genuinely cares...so I say....if you have kids who are getting older and need a local spot to take their dates....if you want to support local business....if you want amazing food at a fair price....or if you just want to try something new..check out Pastaloni!
