“The food was so good; they make their own bacon which was super flavorful. We had the Megg sandwich on a biscuit and it was very good. The coffee option is regular which would have put the place top on my list if it had a nice cappuccino or even latte but the food was with the drive from our camp site. Would recommend and go again.“

“We went in tonight, (Sunday) due to our neighbors telling us how good the food is. It was 30-35 minutes before our food arrived. It was busy, mainly pizza orders, but seemed a long time to wait for our dinner. First, the positive. My husband had all you can eat fish with corn and broccoli as his two side. He said it was very good. I ordered the 8 oz NY Strip MEDIUM, with mashed potato’s (no gravy) and a salad as my two side. The salad was very fresh and tasty. The mashed potato’s arrived with gravy all over them. The waitress offered to get my ones minus the gravy, but I said they were ok with the gravy. The steak was so over cooked. I sent it back and the waitress said she would remind the cook that I wanted it medium. The second steak came out just as overdone. I ate maybe 1/4 of it and left the rest. The steaks were only about 1/4 inch thick which I’m sure is why it was so easy to overcook them, for $18 it was a disappointment. They did not offer a discount or replacement when the second steak also was overcooked. The pizzas looked great, so we will go back and give the pizza a try. If the pizza is also bad, we will not be returning.“

“A truly magnificent experience. We were only in MI for the week, and had to make Wild Dog Grille a repeat. The staffing was excellent. Eric, Donna, and Diamond went above and beyond to make our visit with our fur baby Jaxon Bleu comfortable, inviting, and beyond expectations. The food is incredible. It was definitely the treat of a lifetime for our 34th anniversary trip. We’re planning a re-visit in the near future.“

The Mediterranean couscous salad and Brussel kale Caesar are beyond delicious. The Maui sandwich was superb. Today my hubby got the burger and said it was the best burger he has ever eaten. The wait staff were professional, friendly, and attentive each time we dined there. This is a must try in Saugatuck. In a sea of restaurants serving the same tired menus, Pumpernickels is unique and delicious.“

“Be nice there are younger people who work here . Probably their first job . Very cute concept. Plenty of outdoor seating(picnic tables) Prices are cheaper than most restaurants downtown. A little slower than i thought it would be . I did order online to got there & my order wasn’t ready yet in which. They explained why and made up for it. They do charge a small fee for ordering online. Super sweet staff. Although I do believe my sandwich had the wrong cheese . It was still decent I mean it is a grilled cheese shack not a 5 star bouji restaurant . If you want something simple & quick for the most part. They do have corn hole boards as well. I’d definitely come here if you have little ones who can’t sit still in a restaurant. Small variety . But it’s a grilled cheese. If you have a bigger order prepare to wait .“
