“Absolutely everything about our meal at Public, in Zeeland, Michigan was perfection. My husband enjoyed the Meyer lemon Brown butter, Parmesan crusted chicken cutlet - I don’t have word’s to adequately describe the bright flavors of the dish, everything was beautifully balanced. The braised short rib is exquisitely, tender, so much so that you don’t even need to chew it - but you want to, just so you get to enjoy it longer.

Right off the bat, we were greeted by our amazing server Emilio. Emilio was friendly, knowledgeable, and made our time at Hops next level. My husband and I are always interested in learning more about great local spots, and Emilio was able to share some great information. Along with the service, the food was fabulous and fresh! “We ate here for the first time as out of towners and absolutely loved this place! Customer service was top notch and the food was amazing! Very cool atmosphere and got in even faster than the estimated wait time :) would definitely go here again!“

“Went for dinner Thursday evening. Our cocktails were lovely. I had a variation on an old fashion. My bride had the sangria. My pork chop was lovely. My bride’s chicken was delightful. And Abby, our server, was attentive and helpful.

“We visited on a Friday evening. So glad we made reservations, because it was pretty busy. We enjoyed the Full Circle and Tangerine IPA brews. For food we ordered the Apple walnut salad and a made to order pizza. Both were delicious. Our server, Alyssa was great, and despite being busy, we got our food and drink in a timely manner.“

“So I always hate to leave bad staff reviews, but sometimes I have to tell it how it is. The staff was ok for bar staff, when they did come by or you get service it was ok. Getting service was tough, you would sit for a long time with no one coming by, and you will have to flag them down. The food that I ordered was forgotten, and I did have to say "hey were is my sandwich?" And my second drink. I got a friend "oh sorry" and such, and truthfully I'm ok with it I'm no Karen about that. Maybe management needs to hire more help, or help them with a bit more training/insight, but it is what it is for a hotel bar. The food selection is bleak at best, I have a feeling it's due to the kitchen equipment that is available. The worst part was the morning breakfast time, my wife went down at 6 minutes past when breakfast was done. Grabbed coffee and went to have grab a bagel that was still sitting there on the buffet, only to have a teenage boy yell at her to leave it, because breakfast was over. I get yes it was over, but it wasn't a special request, no prep needed, just a bagel in a plactic bin, but nope leave it lady.“

“After walking (not tiptoeing) through the Tulips we stopped for a bite at Collpercraft.

The bad news was that they did not serve food any longer, but you can bring food into the tasting room - we had non so we went to another place for food. The good news is that we came back with full stomachs to taste several good bourbons, a couple of rye whiskeys, and cocktails and our husbands joined us.

Great place, with excellent service, and good drinks. You can get as much or as little involved in the history, making, and tasting of their products.

“From the street to your seat you’re welcomed like family! Hostess was hilarious and fun, seated immediately. Brenda is the BEST server ask for her every time! She was immediately there with a smile and such a wonderful loving attitude. We were immediately besties obviously (see picture)

“Classic diner with friendly helpful staff. The pecan rolls and bread were a bit dry, but the gouda/ham omelette was good. They allowed me to substitute egg whites for my omelette as well.

“For a steakhouse to not offer ribeye seems odd. The sirloin was good but not as flavorful and of course not as tender. The slab of ribs are smaller than they used to be there, but are good. My wife thought the flavor was lacking in the sweet potato with just plain butter, so they may rely on the flavored butter to give it the wow factor.“
