“Partner and I love Don Luis and visit at least once a quarter. The restaurant is open "late" compared to the rest of Grand Haven, which is so nice as we typically eat later evening. I appreciate not feeling like we're bothering the staff and keeping them. Service: Always top notch. They are efficient with serving the food, refilling drinks, and bring chips and salsa nearly as soon as you sit down. Food: I've tried quite a few things here and loved it all. The food I got most recently was a type of taco that you dip. The flavor was beyond amazing, though it definitely had a little kick to it. (I do not do spicy food, but the server said it wasn't spicy. If you're like me, it is a bit spicy). Ambiance: They have fun booths and decorations around the restaurant and always have upbeat Mexican music playing. It's usually somewhat busy, but as we go during off hours, never too full. And, we've never had to wait to be seated, which we really like.“
“What an unassuming place. From the outside, you would think it might be sketchy or scary inside. Like run down. Instead, you go inside and there is well lit and modern looking bar to an old-timey place. There's a wrap around bar. There's table seating. I've seen regulars and families in there. A juke box. Atm. Pool table. Video game machine. And fun signs on the walls. They have pub fare, good food. The wait staff has been great every time I've gone in. I really enjoyed meeting Amber on my last visit. I think it's a fun, affordable and inviting place to have meal and drinks. Totally casual. No dress code, other than wear clothes and footwear...lol It's almost five stars. But I give it four plus stars. Come check this place out! Cheers, Xiang“
“The Tip Two is a nice place to enjoy the view of the channel, people walking, car’s driving. The service was slow (due to one waitress).Only drinks, no food other than a food truck.Easy parking in the Tip a few parking lot, next to the bar or on the street by the park.I’ll be back. But only for the view!“
“Our gluten-free pizza was ready in time for pick up, and I was helped right away. The pizza was delicious as always. I love the sausage!!! They have the best!Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac disease and this is my most trusted pizza place to get pizza.“
“My friend and I went here for dinner and drinks. We shared the meatballs appetizer and the garlic aoili fries. The food was decent but we were surprised that the aoili was actually mayo based instead of oil based. They were still good but not what we expected. They did give my friend a free dessert for her birthday so, that was nice. The server Emily did a great job and the atmosphere was very nice.“
“Stopped in to try the St. Patrick's Day menu. Went with the burger with the corned beef added onto it. (Sorry, I can't recall the name of it!) In a word - awesome!! And the mint mousse dessert "for two" was big enough for, at least, three! Also incredible!! Service was amazing, too, from the bartender! Loved everything about it!!“
“What a great place to eat! There are always great options for various styles of food and fare. The staff are always well prepared and friendly. It's nice to see a locally-owned and operated business that is well-supported and does such a wonderful job. Keep up the great job and we can't wait to go back!“
“If you are looking for a place to stop that has great staff, friendly regulars, and amazing food-- this is the stop for you! Family owned bar with that hometown feel. It is cash only, but there is an ATM on site! I 100% recommend checking this place out!“
“Wow! What a hidden gem! This greasy spoon has so much to offer. The best pizza in town, great drinks and appetizers too! The customer service is out of this world, and it was so nice to be able to sit and relax at a place that is local. Highly recommend the potato skins and the everything pizza. you have to check this place out!“
“Like nothing else around here! A super fun way to spend time with friends. Service was friendly and fast and bowling was so much fun. Pincrest is a true local gem that, frankly, I'm surprised more people haven't heard of. Think of it as a bar with a bowling area more than a bowling alley with a bar. We will be back!“
“This place is a hole in the wall bar. We were in from Chicago and picked a bar at random. Walked in during karaoke. All the regulars kinda stopped and stared at us. We had a blast karaoke-ing with everyone. It was one of the nicest karaoke setups and I go to a lot of karaoke joints. Drinks were great. Bartender friendly and fun. This is all I want from a bar. Would go back.“
“If it has been a minute since you have been to Nauty's, you need to stop by because the inside has been beautifully updated. If that doesn't do it for ya, sit at the bar & Missy will make you a drink & have you laugh until you cry. Oooh, & karaoke on Saturdays!“
“Love MiBar! I typically come here Sunday's after work for a drink or two. The bartenders always make you feel welcomed. They offer a jukebox, pool table, beer pong table, pull tabs, keno, and more. No kitchen, but they do sell a few snack foods.“
“Schultz Haus is one of those hole in the wall places that has been around for decades! It is a bar good for playing pool and having a few drinks. The best part is they rent out their kitchen to the old restaurant "Flamingos." Although Flamingos no longer has their physical location, they still have their amazing family recipes that they are pleased to serve the community every other Saturday from the Schultz Haus kitchen! The chips with meat and gravy is my favorite on the menu. The tacos are fabulous! The pricing is fair for Flamingos for authentic food. Schultz Haus also has multiple television to watch sports. The staff are friendly and the drinks are reasonably priced. Be careful, lots of giant potholes on the road they are on!!“
“Love this place! You’re treated like a regular the moment you walk through the door. The only seating is at the wrap-around bar, so it feels kind of communal with the other tavern goers. Strong drinks and decent prices, a really friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. If you like dive bars, this place is for you. Try the chili dog and warm pork rinds.“
“Food was great as always. The service review was based on the speed of the food coming out. There were a number of tables that waited an hour plus for their meals. The friendly staff seemed to not be around to even refill drinks while we all waited. Once you are waiting for food and not drinking, the atmosphere tends to decline. Frustration was in the air. Though we love the food at this place, the speed of service declined in the past year.“
“We were sat immediately which was awesome for a busy Friday night. Waited awhile before a waitress came by, but I think she was spread thin. The food and drinks came fairly quickly, the ambiance was nice. The quality of food was ok, portions were ok, the sad part was the quality of the silverware was awful! Total school cafeteria quality. The butter knife in our rolled napkin set was sharper than the steak knife. You have a nice place, nice food, please upgrade your silverware!“
“We went and ate about 3:00 My boss gave me a gift card because I usually don't eat a Chili's and it had been over a year. I don't know what happened but this place is outstanding now The service is excellent the food is a lot better just general all around great place to eat now“
“Classic Grand Haven Spot with good food and speedy service! We started with the Rangoon Appetizer which I'd definitely get again! These are not your typical mass produced Rangoons. They are special. For our dinners we got an Olive Burger and and a Perch Basket like any good West Michiganders. My wife is something of an Olive Burger expert and said it's a perfectly respectable effort and it gets the job done. She loved their ranch dressing. My perch basket was crispy and tasty with a nice light coating on the fish.Solid selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and downtown without being too downtown. This is a good spot for anybody passing through town to get dinner and drinks in a comfortable setting.“
