“This was our 1st time trying their food and with us only getting a 3 piece of the strips and whole wing meals we know now to order more 🤣🤣. I wish I got my wings with the works like my fries 🔥. Their house koolaid also amazing! We will def be back!“

“My husband and I ate at Tupelo Honey for the second time on Saturday, July 18.

The atmosphere and the staff are warm and welcoming. Our server, Ryan, was incredibly attentive and personable.

We started out with the biscuits for a cause and the famous fried green tomatoes. We enjoyed both of these dishes. The blueberry compote that came with the biscuits is delicious and you can buy jars of it.

My husband then had the bourbon peppercorn glazed meatloaf and I had the honey-dusted fried chicken. Both of these entrees were tasty—the only recommendation we would give them is to find a better way to present the mashed potatoes. They were quite thin, almost soupy, and would have been more appealing if served in a bowl rather than sprawled out across the entire plate.

“Absolutely delicious! We stopped in on a Tuesday for dinner and were greeted with great service. We got the catfish, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, and mac and it was all amazing! I haven’t found anything so close to family cooking in a restaurant before. We both left clean plates. Will definitely be returning!“

“We arrived mid afternoon and split the “Two meat meal.” We chose fried chicken and fried catfish with green beans and candied yams (what, do you think we’d come to The Candied Yam and NOT order candied yams?). We were also able to have some of their Mac and cheese.

The chicken and catfish were delicious! The chicken was especially temperature hot and juicy, but I have to say that I liked the catfish even more!

The yams and Mac and cheese were excellent as well! The green beans were done in a Southern style, by which I mean cooked until very soft. Tasty, but personally I prefer them al dente with a more firm texture.

I believe this location does mostly take out orders so the dining area is limited in size and decor. But you’re here for the homemade recipes that did not disappoint! You owe it to yourself to give The Candied Yam a try!“

“CLK overall was an amazing environment and very family oriented. I would like to give a huge shout out to the manager from last night, I came in believing I had a reservations because I was celebrating my bday but also doing a gender reveal that was done Feb 13th for March 1st but it wasn’t in there system. Instead of turning me around her and some of staff maneuvered and make things work in my favor. The server we had started out great but then became a little rude and I don’t know if it was because of my party downsizing or what but the attitude changed. She started reaching over ppl not saying excuse me so I became a little irritated on my special day. I really wanted to experience more of the food but the way things went it just changed the whole energy for me. But everything wasn’t bad and like I said I truly appreciate the amazing manager from last night and I was told that the bartender that made the drinks was superb!!!! Thank you“
