“My husband has always loved the beer from here so we took advantage of a trip to Grand Rapids to stop in and have a couple flights. All our drinks were amazing and I was particularly thrilled with the blue slushie drink. We enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor seating area with comfortable picnic tables with umbrellas. “I went picked Brass Ring Brewing to celebrate my birthday with my family. I choose Brass Ring because I was interested in trying their cask ales. What I found at Brass Ring was a level of customer service that I have rarely found across the food service industry. We showed up at Brass Ring to find that a very large group was dining there, taking up a majority of the seating. They don't take reservations, so it was going to be a challenge finding a table for our group of 6. The owner heard the staff struggling to find us an available table. He jumped in and found a solution. He personally asked a couple that was seated at a large table if they would be willing to move. They graciously accepted to make room for us. This level of customer service has obviously been trained into the entire staff because our waiter was the most helpful and hospitable server I've ever encountered. Firstly, he was extremely knowledgeable of food and drink menu, helping us to navigate it superbly. He also got the entire restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" with us when it was time for dessert. The food and drinks were top notch, but the customer service was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the Brass Ring. You will not be disappointed!“

“We had a great experience at this brewery! The beer was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from, and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The space is on the smaller side, but it’s incredibly welcoming and has a great atmosphere.
One of the best parts is being able to build your own flight, which makes it easy to try a range of different beers. Everything is also really affordable, which is a huge plus. It’s a fantastic spot to relax and sample some great brews — we’ll definitely be back!“

“Vivant Brewery & Spirits in Grand Rapids was a really enjoyable experience and easily one of the more distinctive brewery settings I have visited.
The atmosphere is what grabbed me first. The building was originally a funeral home chapel, and instead of trying to hide that history, they leaned into it. The stained glass above the bar is especially striking, and the exposed wood, high ceilings, and historic architecture give the space a sophisticated, almost European feel. It has a lot of character without feeling gimmicky.
We only stopped in for appetizers, but everything we tried was very tasty. Vivant is known for putting more effort into the food than the typical brewery, with a from-scratch menu and some more creative options than standard bar food. Their duck nachos, beer cheese and pretzels, frites, and poutine are some of the items that come up repeatedly with other guests.
The drink side is just as interesting. They focus heavily on European-inspired beers, but they also make spirits and offer craft cocktails, so there is quite a bit more variety than you get at a brewery that is strictly about beer.
What I liked most was the overall vibe. It feels a little more refined and sophisticated than the average taproom, but it is still comfortable and relaxed enough that you can just sit down, have a drink, share some food, and enjoy the building.

Recommended this to several of my clients and we all love this. I will totally be back just hope with this available on the menu.“

“Best beer in a market that is absolutely saturated. Their creations just flat out taste better than anything else. From a light drinking lager to a stout that you can only have 1 of LOL. Chill atmosphere with a friendly staff that is efficient without being overpowering. Food is excellent with a simple burger and fries that I’d put up against anyone else’s.“

I cannot recall the name of this one, but it has roasted 🍍, goat cheese and bacon on it.
Im notta fan of 🍍 on pizza, but this changed my mind.

Helena is amazing, I had a million questions leading up to the event, she was very prompt with responses and providing me with needed information. Our bartenders that night (7/25/26), I’m so sorry I can’t recall their names, were absolutely fantastic. Assisting me with with technology issues and providing service to all the guests. We received so many compliments on the food and space, so I really just wanted to say THANK YOU for making our day so amazing.“
