Sakura Japanese Restaurant Reviews
We ate there last night. We got our drinks, salad, soup, and appetizer quick. But waited over 20 minutes for our food to come after we got the appetizer. When our food was brought out it was cold! You could tell our food had been sitting there for awhile and was forgotten about by the waitress. Wouldn't recommend this place.
We tried eating in dine in on Saturday night. The 2 tables that sat down after us were served and given drinks immediately. We were ignored for 15 min. No drink, no food, no one checked on us.
We were really looking forward to Japanese…we won’t be back.
One portion we ordered supposed to have 3 kinds of sashimi but it only came with salmon sashimi and boy it was warm. Another dish was tempura plate, the flour coat was way too thick. The last plate was salmon bento box, the salmon teriyaki was overcooked and overly dried. Our waiter was nice and polite but after serving our food he was GONE and I had to walk to find him folding napkins. So no we dont want to ever go back again.

Based on the reviews, Sakura Japanese Restaurant offers a mixed experience. The food is described as good, delicious, and fairly priced, though not always great. The hibachi is fun and very filling, with entertaining chefs providing free sake. However, some specific dishes were disappointing: the ramen was just store bought egg noodles with canned vegetables, the yaki-udon was poorly stir-fried, and on one visit, veggies were inconsistently cooked, shrimp were not cleaned, eggs were burnt, and rice was crispy. The filet was very tender but over cooked, while the scallops were delicious. Service is sometimes lacking, with long waits during busy times and drinks left waiting to be refilled. The atmosphere is extremely loud and chaotic, as expected for a hibachi style restaurant, with too many people around one grill. Regular dining is a nicer, more comfortable experience. Overall, positives outweigh the negatives for some, but others are debating if they will go back after a letdown.
