“We had dinner at Kona last night in Tecumseh on the rooftop. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great, considering there was only one wait staff up there. He did a wonderful job. My only complaint would be the seating. They are funky looking chairs, but they’re SOOOO uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and the seat was way too deep!! Forces you to sit perched forward, which is really uncomfortable. And the seats are so hard I actually had a very sore tailbone. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!“

Tommy called me and we had an in depth discussion of everyone's budgets, likes, dislikes, etc. He was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with and helped curate a fully customized menu. The chefs arrived early and were extremely accommodating to everyone's preferences-- and the sushi was so delicious! They created a very interactive program where they even taught us how to make a roll! Our experience with Kabar was unique and memorable. I could not recommend them more!“

Specifically, we had an incredible miso soup, wagyu yakitori, a tuna tartare & truffle maki, and nigiri that would just perfectly balanced flavor bombs. Fantastic service, amazing execution. And the Jasmine Tea is incredible. This will be one of our go-to spots for special occasions in the area.“

“I visited during the evening hours of the weekdays and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. She explained to me the Korean menu besides sushi and Japanese. The dishes I ordered were pretty and delicious. The atmospheric music played quietly in the restaurant and the hall staff checked the table from time to time, allowing me to have a comfortable and pleasant meal. It was a very satisfying meal. “The employees are nice each time my boyfriend and I go here. The food is consistent in quality and quantity, and it's tasty. We never really had a problem with the place. I'd say the most problem we had, is that sometimes there would be a fly that snuck in from outside; but it's not there every time we go. The pricing for the all-you-can-eat is pretty good compared to the local competitors. After a tip, it usually equals around $100 for two people.“

Maybe if you want something added, ask for it next time ( read a lot of complaints about onions not in the fried rice) but it was delicious. Sweet and Sour sauce served as a side…perfect so the chicken doesn’t get soggy (and yes it would thicken if you let it cool-another response to a bad review). Overall, would definitely recommend. Dumplings were fantastic, soup was full of wontons.“
