Tommy called me and we had an in depth discussion of everyone's budgets, likes, dislikes, etc. He was incredibly responsive and a pleasure to work with and helped curate a fully customized menu. The chefs arrived early and were extremely accommodating to everyone's preferences-- and the sushi was so delicious! They created a very interactive program where they even taught us how to make a roll! Our experience with Kabar was unique and memorable. I could not recommend them more!“

“I have been coming here for at least a decade. It's one of the best sushi places in SE Michigan. Great for dates or business entertaining.

Parking: Next to a massive city lot. So unless it's a festival in town your set.

Wheelchair accessibility: Flat one floor so zero issues for handicapped persons. They have booths and tables. Bathroom was handicap accessible last I checked.“

“We had dinner at Kona last night in Tecumseh on the rooftop. We had a fantastic meal and the service was great, considering there was only one wait staff up there. He did a wonderful job. My only complaint would be the seating. They are funky looking chairs, but they’re SOOOO uncomfortable. I’m 5’6 and the seat was way too deep!! Forces you to sit perched forward, which is really uncomfortable. And the seats are so hard I actually had a very sore tailbone. Other than that it was GREAT!!!!“

The dishes I ordered were pretty and delicious. The atmospheric music played quietly in the restaurant and the hall staff checked the table from time to time, allowing me to have a comfortable and pleasant meal. It was a very satisfying meal. Some days my bowl is filled up, but there are days my bowl is filled a little more than half. The service here also varies too. A lot of the workers are super friendly and helpful, but I have come across some not-so-friendly workers too. They only have a few cans of coke, some other random canned drinks, and a bottle of water. Coke snd sushi is a weird mix. The place was warm inside...which made me question the temperature of the raw food. And that tainted my enjoyment of the meal. Parking was a nightmare, but it was a Friday night.“
