“We tried The Forge for the first time and WOW, absolutely delicious!! We both had the Forge burger and I have to say it’s the best burger in the area! It had the right amount of char and crispiness on the edges yet with the perfect overall texture and juiciness! The right amount of grease and melted cheese on the wrapper where you immediately knew it was going to be so, so savory and yummy! Next time we’ll try the brisket and we cannot wait!”

“I stopped in just as they opened on a Monday and ordered a large pasty with meat. I also got a bran muffin and peanut butter cookie. The pasty was outstanding! The best combination/proportion of beef and vegetables I’ve ever had in a pasty. The crust was a great compliment. My vote for #1 in the UP!!! The muffin and cookie were also very good. I’ll definitely make the effort to stop whenever I’m in the area.”

“Went there always before as loved there spaghetti 🍝...today was dish of pasta...sauce minimal. Basically ate noodles. Also sprinkle of parmasan on top..no shaker on table for more. I was so looking forward to what I used to crave. $18 of noodles not ordering again. 😔...i will try something else next time. Waitress was very nice. So that was saving factor of returning again for another try.”

Not a bar you need to be a regular at to get service, the bartenders were friendly and outgoing. I’m not sure if they had food other than chips and candy but the beer was ice cold and that’s all that mattered to me.”

“My husband and I had dinner at La Catrina’s while visiting Houghton. It was a great experience. The service was excellent. The food was delicious, and even the presentation was outstanding! I had the chicken and spinach burrito and my husband had chicken fajitas. We shared the fried ice cream. I highly recommend checking it out, they are just a few minutes from downtown and very easy parking.”

They have friendly staff, a wide selection of specialty and homemade coffees and drinks, a variety of bakery items, comfortable temperatures, classy music, and incredible prices!!! My large 20oz Cafe Au Lait with almond milk was steamed to perfection and paired wonderfully with their Chocolate Almond brewed coffee of the day. I even got a free refill with their Papua New Guinea flavor, all for the price of $4.24! Don’t miss this family-price-friendly coffee shop experience with so many accommodations, excellent customer service, and quality products!”

“I have stayed at Top of the Pub and visited the South Range Pub on several occasions, and the place is fresh, new with lots of amenities, especially on one of the top trails in the UP. The Pub is nostalgic with lots of traditional games - darts, pool, shuffleboard.”

It is FAR BETTER than any grain breads I have tried around the Marquette, Negaunee, Ishpeming. I feel It beats the Marquette well know bakeries for a grain type bread. Pure ingredients,too.
