I recently dined at Plaza Mexico Mexican Restaurant, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that felt like a true slice of Mexico.
The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of authentic Mexican dishes. I started with the freshly made guacamole, which was rich and flavorful, paired perfectly with crispy tortilla chips. For the main course, I had the enchiladas verdes, and they were simply outstanding. The tangy green sauce was bursting with flavor, and the chicken was tender and well-seasoned.
What truly sets Plaza Mexico apart is their commitment to authenticity. Each dish is crafted with care, using fresh ingredients that transport your taste buds straight to Mexico. The portions are generous, ensuring you leave completely satisfied.
The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. The margaritas are a must-try—refreshing and made with top-shelf tequila.

“AMAZING! Moved to the area a year and a half ago and have been searching for a good Mexican place. This place gives 220 Merrill vibes (Downtown Birmingham) but with good prices. “Tonight we stopped in after my son's DCFC soccer practice. The Golden Margarita on the rocks was SO refreshing after a long day of work. We sat in the outdoor "garden" and were lucky enough to meet the owner and talk about being business owners and plants! We will be back. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal.“

“My wife and I tried TK for the first time yesterday. We love Mexican food and absolutely loved this place. Good taste, good portions and good service. I recommend this place everyone. Be sure to visit before everyone finds out about this place and they will have to move to a larger building!“

“A little hole in the wall spot located in a gas station but, the food is really good. I stopped in and got the steak burrito and it was cooked to perfection. The portion are really big so you get your money's worth. The burrito and ingredients tasted great. Definitely a great spot. I will be coming back.“

“Ate here today while on a break from jury duty. Ordered fish tacos. Food took about 5 minutes to show up but fish was hot, corn tortillas were fresh, medium salsa was perfect, and beans / rice were tasty. I have one more day of duty, might stop in again. Inside was a bit warm, could have turned the AC up as air was a bit stagnant at the tables but food quality was excellent and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.Update: came back, AC was on. Thank you. 5* applied.“

“There is no better steak sandwich IMHO! But then again, I've never had a bad meal at Sandy's...ever...after more than 2 decades. Yesterday when we cashed out, I was just DELIGHTED to discover that right on my bill, there was a little tipping guide that showed what your total would be if you added a 10, 15, 20 or 25% gratuity! Since I totally SUCK at math, but like to be a great tipper, I found this SO helpful! THANK YOU!“

“First time trying it and let me say I regret not trying it sooner. I was a bit hesitant but Chris was extremely helpful and made so many great recommendations. I had the quesadillas (chicken), chips and queso. The dessert was over the top. When I say I am not typically a big eater I tried some of everything. The best part the servings were ample enough I have left overs for a day or two. In addition to Chris the staff was welcoming and friendly. I will be back. Chris needs a raise for doing an amazing job!!“

“If you haven't been here, there's a drive thru and a counter inside you can order at with a good sized dining area. They FEED you. "Pick 3" never sounds like a lot of food to my fatness lol, but good Lord...I did NOT finish item #3 in my meal. Sooooooo full and the puffy tacos were great. Honestly everything was top notch. Nothing fancy, and that's exactly how I like my Mexican food. Just great quality and piping hot out of the kitchen. So just yum has occurred here.“

“Solid taco bell if you don’t mind the drive thru cashier immediately repeating every item you order along with “no problem”. I ordered like 9 items, i was reassured it’s no problem 9 times, then heard it at least 3 more times. I want a hard taco, “you said hard taco? ok no problem”. Then she had the nerve to ask if everything was correct on the screen after repeating back each item as i ordered. Rest assured, your order will be correct & delicious - your patience will just be tested before hand.“

“Toi the manager at this taco bell needs a RAISE. She looked out for me and my family tonight. The taco bell app was possibly having glitches, I'm not sure but it completely messed my whole order up and charged me. When I came to the taco bell to get my food they didn't receive my order. Which really frustrated me because it was the last of our money and this was our one meal today. She definitely looked out and I just wanna show my appreciation because she didn't have to do that. So thanks girl. The 5 star was for your service thank you.“
