“I have been turned off to Subway for several years because many of their locations are dirty, have old looking ingredients or the staff is not using hygienic practices.

We swung by here on a whim today and this was the cleanest subway I have ever seen. The staff were friendly and the ingredients all looked very fresh. I was happy to see bins packed with clean knives since most subways use the same disgusting knives all days and wipe them off on the edge of the counter which is repulsive. This place was a breath of fresh air, happy to see a place taking cleanliness and quality seriously!“

“My favorite cold sub is the #9 Club Supreme. And in the hot subs, the #15 Meatball and #18 Chicken parm are really good. They do a really great job and the "Mike's Way" with the oil and spices creates a flavor I don't get anywhere else.“

“Visited twice, once months ago and once today. Wow! What a great sub! Yeah I am not fond of a sub costing $15 like the giant italian does but wow is it worth it! I mean the staff politeness was awesome (including in store safety virus protocols)! Then the sub was over the top again. Freshest bread anywhere, perfect red tomatoes, crisp lettuce, fresh sliced meat, spices...just delicious! Again, the staff here was great! I wish I knew the name of the African American gentleman that greeted me and I think was in charge. I witnessed his door greetings to other customers and he really has that "personal touch" with people. I think I need to eat here at least 1-2 times a week for now on. My wife already told me we need to focus on them vrs the other alternative sub restaurants. I think she is right!“

“I've always liked Tubby's and I use to always go to the one on Harper in St Clair Shores' but I really like this one in Chesterfield nice spot to dine in where my experience has always been a pleasant one . It seems I'm always meeting new people and is such a very nice & relaxed atmosphere ! . 🙂 Still don't really know any of the workers but they're all so nice friendly and courteous. Even when there's a crowd ' I never have a long wait and they always get my order right and the food is good definitely never have any complaints about that 🙂🙂. So if your a Tubby's fan I recommend you stop in and give them a try and you will definitely go back again & again 🙂🙂“

“I've always used the app to place my orders (sub club). For the most part the subs are accurate as far as ingredients. It's hit and miss how well they're put together depending on who's working... sometimes they're sloppily put together. There's a guy that works there who always nails it! But don't believe anyone there reads the comments (can add in the app). I always ask for my footlong NOT to be cut in half but they always do anyway, I think out of habit. I prefer to cut it in thirds when I get home. Aside from that, there are booths to sit and eat and kept clean. It's a small restaurant and there are no public restrooms.“

“Love your sandwiches and I get them at least once a week! But so disappointed today :(. Drive to my normal location on hall and Hayes and found out they were closed for remodeling. So drove to Macomb location. I normally pay close attention while subs are made to correct issues but today I was getting pushed into paying before my subs were made. Sadly I got home and it was wrong :(. Ordered three subs total. 2 of three were not what was requested. ie wrong bread, missing mikes way dressing etc. one of the kids subs was completely smashed. it was obvious new employees were working and I’m not totally blaming them. Moving forward I will make sure I watch my sandwiches being made and wont get rushed to the register. I paid a lot for these sandwiches and expect to get what I ordered.“

“Every time I walk into this store, I’m greeted like an old friend. The owner is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet genuinely kind, welcoming, and always in a good mood. What really stands out is how he remembers faces and makes everyone feel like a regular, even if it’s only your second visit. “I could not be any more impressed!!
We are only in town for a few days, staying at a local hotel. We ordered a delivery through DoorDash and the driver never showed to pick up our order. I called and our sandwiches were sitting there “waiting”.

The young man that answered the phone Zach (sp) asked me to hold for a moment and then came back to the phone to say that an assistant manager (Avery)(sp) would be bringing our order to us. Wow !!! Excellent customer service!!

When she arrived she tried to help me with the refund process on my phone and after being on hold for awhile I decided to wait until morning to call ….

Then Baron (mgr maybe ?) called me to say he was going to refund my money because of the situation. Really ?? Another WOW !! This NEVER HAPPENS!!

This team went ABOVE AND BEYOND and even though the sandwiches had been sitting there, they were EXCELLENT!!

I did pay for a sandwich (that was only right).

Do yourself a favor and try them out if you haven’t already.

If I lived here I would DEFINITELY be a repeat customer!!

I have been coming here for years, and come here for a reason - I’m picky. The owner is usually here and he’s pretty cool to talk to. I was reading the reviews and some of them are CLEARLY mixing this subway with the subway further north on Harper, near 15 mile, in Clinton township. Although just a couple miles apart, they are 2 different subways with totally different vibes. By confusing the two locations, it’s giving this (hidden gem IMO) location bad ratings. I’ve never had any issue here, they’re fast, super friendly and the place is very clean.“

“The server did exactly as I asked, I'm very funny about certain things being on my sandwich! I noticed an onion on it and he made a whole new one for me! I have an allergy to onions! Will definitely come here again!

Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access is on the end of the parking not in the middle like some places!“

“I have gotten Firehouse catered for several meetings and a very large event. Sunny and Rita are always so great and accommodating, as well as on time when I get the catering delivered. “I haven't been to this place in years because I went vegetarian but I randomly got the taste for the Tubby's dressing today (it is a delicious dressing) and chose to give the hot stir fried veggie sub a try. I am both delighted and upset by how much I enjoyed it. xD It reminded me of when I used to get the mushroom, steak, and cheese sub (which I would recommend to the meat eaters). “This is usually a pretty good Jimmy John's. It's not perfect though. I've had a lot of orders where my sandwiches have been dry as a desert. It's like they forgot all the mayo or oil and vinegar. It really ruins the sandwich when it's like that. Usually this is an adequate Jimmy John's though. The one on Hayes is better. Order from there if you're in between stores.“
