“This place was a welcome surprise. It's unassuming, tucked out of the way near the bowling alley...frankly, I had resisted going there for quite a while but I'm so glad I changed my mind! I've been twice now, and I strongly recommend fried anything... the mushrooms and the pickle planks are fantastic and made fresh. Huge servings of both but so good. My partner had a reuben that he said was maybe the best he'd ever had. The chicken wrap was great... the chicken sandwich was....a chicken sandwich, but it had a couple of nice strips of bacon and was good. Service was great both times and the manager is engaged and personable. Even the recorded music was fun! I'm really happy to recommend this place.“
“The atmosphere is perfect for this area. Kind of diner/hole in the wall(good thing). Food was just ok in my opinion. Unfortunately, there are very few choices in this particular area for breakfast. More choices to choose from 15 or so miles away in Marquette. That said, I would certainly go back and try other menu items.“
“Hometown restaurant standard. No-frills food, service and atmosphere. If mounted bucks, fish, and game on the walls offend you, I would suggest Big Boy. I've eaten here for many years, and over three or four owners. Over-tip the waitresses, they work long and hard hours. What to have? The cudighi is good, as is the potato sausage, eggs, and limpu toast for breakfast. Fish fry on Friday is always crowded, but really good.“
“I came here with my friend for breakfast - we split a biscuits and sausage gravy, and an egg baked casserole with some hash browns and meats in it. I had a hot chocolate, as well, which easily ranked in the top ten best cafe hot chocolates I've had. The service was fun and friendly, portions were generous, and we got to enjoy the atmosphere including local conversation and camaraderie. A warm and cozy way to spend a winter morning.“
“I think this is the best burger I have had in Marquette County so far. I got the Pit and it was delicious! The atmosphere is pretty standard for a bar, the music is very loud so its hard to hear the people your with but the food was great!“
“Stopped by the negaunee location. Was helped by a Breckin. I was very impressed by his great customer service which is something that is unfortunately rare now a days. All 3 boys were working in the front and all were very pleasant to me and my daughter. The food was fast, correct and very good.“
“Lawrys has the best pasty and cudighi in town and their pizza is pretty good too. The portions of food are great compared to others, they taste better and you get your money's worth. You can eat in but Lawrys is more of a grab and go kind of place.“
