“It's Taco Bell! How can you go wrong. God tacoish food, great service, and drive-through is always the most convenient for me.Unfortunately, I ordered the same items I always do, and my total was $4.00 more... I'm not sure what this is about, probably inflation. ?Parking: There is plenty of parking, except during the lunch rush. Be forewarned.“
“one of the best places that sell pork chunks, chips and tostones, the service that the staff has with the customer is respectful and they always try to satisfy the customer's needsParking: The parking lot has a capacity of 25 to 30 vehicles.Kid-friendliness: It does not have any attractions but it is a place to spend with a family of 5 or 6 members maximumWheelchair accessibility: The main door has access for this type of people“
“I wanted some mexican but wanted some place different. Google steered me to this place. Two words. Salty but yummy!I was seated right away but took a few mins before my drink order was taken. It was busy, so acceptable. Cici was my server. FriendlyChips n salsa came shortly afterwards. The salsa is actually pretty good.My food finally came. Lots of salt in rice and beans, but they were good. I got the fajitas chimichanga. Really good flavor, worth the price.Got fried ice cream, it was ok.All in all, a great visit with good food!Follow me for more candid reviews across Michigan! New reviews posted every week.Chowabunga!“
“Unbelievably beautiful and delicious food. Service is amazing and friendly. I want to try more of the menu but I'm addicted to the barbacoa tacos. My friends all say the other food is good too but after my required minimum of two barbacoa tacos I insist on I'm usually too full to try anything else. Maybe one day. PS- try the barbacoa tacos.“
“I love this place, great food and wonderful staff who are always pleasant. I usually go with Barbacoa Burrito but everything I have ordered has been worth it. The large Quesadilla is also on point. Quick pick up window is a nice perk as well.“
“$10 taco deal gets you 3 tacos with rice and beans. Great portion and it tasted decent. Generous portion of grilled onions included. I found the beans too liquidy and their salsa bitter. If they upped their salsa game, that'd make a huge difference. Closed Sundays.“
“The lady at the counter was very sweet. She explained everything in great detail and made us feel like we were eating at a friend's house. The food was amazing. I had three different tacos (suadero, carnitas and asada) rice and beans. Everything was hot and fresh. The salsas were all very tasty. Watch out for the veggies on the counter, they are not for the weak! Lol.“
“Everything from top to bottom is on point here. From the meals to the delicious margaritas- Lindo hits the spot everytime!I’ve been looking for years for a good Mexican restaurant in GR and always felt disappointed but never here. Would always recommend 100%“
“they have good tamales really good, but the service sometimes is disappointing. if you don’t speak spanish, they seem to make fun of you and they are rude when you ask for extra sauce or even when they mess up on your order which they seem to do it a lot. besides that the food is amazing !“
“I came here with my brother and cousin yesterday and we got served immediately as soon as we came in, great customer service and their food was amazing, I got tacos and fried ice cream and it was delicious! And I also love the free chips and salsa they “
“Food is usually ok here. The salsa doesn't have much flavor and the chips tasted a little burnt. The service was ok. The server herself was good, but slow. Seemed like there wasn't enough staff(same as most places these days). The restaurant itself is aged and seemed like it could use a good deep cleaning. The table we were at slanted. Felt like our drinks could tip over. Its an old establishment, so some of this is to be expected.“
“Nice casual Mexican restaurant in Hudsonville on Chicago Dr with great service. Complimentary chips & salsa to start (both were tasty). Started with the queso (which is a very simple white cheese sauce). Lunch specials are very reasonably priced and decent portion sizes. Party tried the taco lunch special & the fajita salad lunch special. Meats and veggies were seasoned very well and the meals overall were great. They also have Coke products which is a huge plus in my book!“
“I can’t go to GR without a quick stop to Char! Seriously, if you haven’t eaten here, you should question your life choices! Original and delicious food and drink selections, not to mention BAKLAVA. Service is awesome, and food is fast and amazing. Run, don’t walk to get you some loaded won ton nachos!“
“AMAZING FOOD !!! I DONT EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START!!! OUR EXPERIANCE WITH CHEF OSCAR WAS AMAZING!! HE PERSONALLY BROUGHT OUT HIS RECOMMENDATIONS OF FOODS TO US ALL NIGHT LONG. IVE NEVER AINT SO MUCH. THE FLAVORS WOW OUTSTANDING. N THERES SO MUCH BEHIND ALL OF HIS DISHES THERES MEANING TO THEM ALL!! LOVED HEARING IT. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK EVERYTIME I GET A CHANCE. THANK U FOR THE WONDERFUL EXPERIANCE. THE WHOLE CREW WAS SO FRIENDLY. THANKS ONCE AGAIN.“
“I love El Granjero. Living in Michigan now, this is the closest I have been able to get to my favorite Mexican restaurant where I lived in Texas. It is the only mexican restaurant I go to in GR now.Parking: There are roughly 15 available parking spots here. I have never had an issue being able to park during both lunch and dinner hours.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to the door and open tables that will accommodate wheelchairs, but there are two doors to enter that are not automated.“
“We came out for dinner and cocktails and found the restaurant to be beautiful and comfortable. The food was delicious and the service was superb. There was little difficulty with language, and there was staff on hand to help with translation if needed. After dinner, we checked out the bar and lounge. This place is huge and has ample space to dance and enjoy the company of others. We will be back.Parking: Park in the lot behind the restaurant.“
“Caldos El Giro If you are looking for some great tacos and great Mexican soups this is your place. The location is small so seating and parking can be a challenge but worth the wait. They also offer to go as well. Things to note: you have to order at the counter before sitting. They will assign a seat to you. If you pay cash it's a lesser charge vs paying with a card. Prices are pretty typical compared to similar restaurants. They bring the food out to you but if you need anything else you go up to the counter. They have a table with to-go containers where you can help yourself which makes it really convenient. They play great music. Staff seems friendly but doesn't interact too much but I am sure it's because they are always so busy and always packing up to go orders too! The corn tortillas used for the tacos are much bigger than your traditional tortilla. They use the store bought ones for the soup orders just FYI. We ordered the asada tacos, gordita de papa con chile (potato with hot sauce) and a caldo de res (beef stew). We also added on chips and salsa because you don't get those complementary. Chips are good but the salsa reminded me of tostitos salsa. The asada tacos I personally think are the best but they offer a good variety of protein options. The avocado green salsa is a must! The gordita was not what I expected and will never order again. It had a very mushy texture and no flavor. They seem to have been pre-made with the toppings folded in versus stuffed in after cooking the gordita. Not to worry, the tacos and caldo made up for it! The caldo de res is always great. They loaded it with meat and lots of veggies. I have never had issues with their caldo or even their other soups like Menudo or Seafood soups! They provide tortillas, a side of rice, limes and a chili oil. The chili oil really gives it a kick so I recommend adding a little at a time.“
“We are from Jalisco and we loved the drowned cakes, the tomato sauce and all the accessories; If they look just a little like the originals from my land, the pozole is delicious, I won't complain, and the golden and soft taquitos of carnitas and tongue are a delight.“
“I went with a friend of mine, he suggested it, I’ve lived in Grand Rapids my entire life. I’ve eaten just about everywhere, hands down, the best authentic tacos/burritos etc in GR imo. The price is crazy crazy cheap, quick hot food. Can sit outside under shaded canopy, or small cozy inside seating. 5STARS“
“Absolutely phenomenal food at a very reasonable price. I can see why the Al Pastor has won awards the past couple of years. No skimping on the meat inside the tacos or the grilled onion or limes to top them.Very satisfied, will be back when I'm out that way for sure.“
“I can’t say anything bad about a place with tasty margaritas and tasty tacos. There can be a little bit of a wait sometimes, but that’s to be expected when the food is good. You can also order your food to go. They have a nice outdoor section in the summer and have heated igloos out there during the “
“Great little taco place. It's only take-out and seems to have a store connected that was closed. If this was in Mexico, this would be a street food stand. Great selection of drinks, tacos. I'm going back to try other food on the menu.“
“This place was so good! We had elote dip for starters and then tacos and everything was so good! We went on a Friday evening and it was packed and a little noisy so just a heads up. But the food and margaritas were amazing! The service was quick and nice which we appreciated. Highly recommend“
“Haven't been in a while but glad we came in. Service was beyond excellent, food came out fast. Was delicious. A couple of us noted that while the plate was very hot our entrees weren't as hot. Still warm and good though. I'm not really a salsa person but the kind they served with nachos was yummy.“
“My wife and I visited, she for the first time. I’ve dined there often with friends after a round of golf. She was surprised! The place was so clean; the bathrooms were spotless. I loved my shrimp quesadillas and she really enjoyed her salad. Huge portions, we took quite a bit home. Nice, warm chips and delicious salsa for openers and a very attentive server! We’ll be back!“
“This restaurant is such a refreshing change from the chain restaurants and regular Mexican restaurants in the area. They definitely have a new twist on an old favorite, I'd highly recommend checking them out, they have a variety for everyone and if you get the margarita, you will only need one.“
“This is out regular weekend spot. Home made tortillas and very authentic. All the tacos are great hard to pick a favorite the Quesabirrias also good.. they have recently changed their name to La Favorita. Really nice family owns it, owner greeted each guest and was very nice. They have a loyal customer following and are busyThis is a definite must stop.“
“Fantastic Mexican food for vegetarians! As a vegetarian it can be hard for me to find certain foods that I really like, this place is the best and are super understanding of my preferences! I always get their veggie burrito, it's massive, decently priced, and sooooo tasty! Love it!Vegetarian options: Veggie options for almost all dishes!“
“I've gotten the taco salad from here several times, but only ate in once. I love their food. The service was great. The prices were great.Parking: There is plenty of parking. Nice clean lot.Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs to climb or worry about. Straight shot in and out.“
“Great food, large portions. I ordered a veggie nacho and a chicken taco. The nachos were about 8$, so I thought it would be small. I was wrong. I had enough leftover to make a late-night 4th meal. The salsas were solid and a little bit spicy, so I kept piling it on as I went. They also sell sides of grilled onions. Get these with a couple of tacos, and you'll have a great meal. They are the large green onions, seasoned well. A great addition to any meal here. They also have aqua frescas, so order an Agua jamaica to take the occasion over the top.Cheap, delicious, and great service. It's a gem“
“We have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants, some classy, and some not so, but this place is just a little off-the-wall taco place. The waitress was awesome; the young lady made us feel like we were important guests. It was a little different than normal guess the food is a lot more authentic than some places. The sauces were very good 4 different kinds one was hot and we like hot sauce. The food came hot fresh and tasted very good. The prices were good for what we ordered. Being the wife is part mexican; she rather picky on her Mexican food but very much enjoyed what she ordered. So we have decided that we are going to try more places like this in the future. Thank you for the awesome service.“
“Very clean restaurant, food was amazing, and service was great. The hostess/cashier was extremely kind and spoke fluent English (not a concern of mine but in case anyone is concerned about any language barriers..a non issue!). We will definitely make a return visit.“
“Rachel and David were absolutely incredible to have wait/serve us. They showed phenomenal service at the bar, very personable, and were more than welcoming. Both were beyond knowledgeable on the menu as well as drinks when it came to ordering. Rachel and David provided such a fun, energetic atmosphere that will have us coming back!“
“Food was great. Generous portion sizes. However their 3 taco special is now $12.50. They charge extra if you want cheese on your tacos. They also charge an extra fee if you pay using credit card but won't tell you about it at checkout. Two taco meals for $30 before tip. At that price I'll go to my local hood spot for Mexican style tacos.“
“I'm giving 5 stars because the service here was fantastic. Very attentive servers and staff, the food was pretty darn good too. Our young boys loved the tacos and burritos. The queso/cheese sauce and salsas are delicious!Kid-friendliness: The kids menu is great, and some of the smaller dishes are great for older kids too!my 9 year old loved the enchiladas.“
“If you love authentic Mexican food, this is a great place to try. It’s extremely small inside (and old) but the food is like you went to their home for dinner…so tasty! We tried the chipotle chicken and the taco dinner. Both were freshly prepared and very reasonably priced for the decent portion sizes. Everything was so flavorful. Chips & salsa were good too. Not many beverage choices; and it appears to be a family owned/operated business. Go try it!“
“Service was fast, the waitress was polite, and the food was great. There was a miscommunication about my order, but we were able to come to a quick clarification. We ended up ordering the birria combination, a camaron taco, 2 asada tacos, and horchata. The consome was very warm and the tacos were all very delicious.“
“I saw this food truck parked in front of Bridge Street Market not too long ago, so I decided to try it. Apparently they opened up two months ago! The owner was super sweet, and it was fun getting to converse with him for a bit. This place takes card, cash, and accepts Apple Pay (not sure about Google Pay, but can ask next time). Los Pinches GR make the Mexican staples- tacos ($2.99), tortas ($10), quesadillas ($6/$9), and burritos ($10). They also have desserts ($4.50), like conchas rellenas, and carota (Mexican lemon pie). For drinks, they have water, coke, Jarritos, and Mexican coke. I got the pastor and suadero tacos. The portions were smaller than I expected, so I would recommend getting three tacos if you want to come out feeling satiated. I really loved the suadero (brisket confit) tacos - I would recommend trying that one. The brisket was tender and juicy - I did wish they added more of it to my taco! The pastor taco was pretty good. Something that did surprise me was how juicy the limes were. I always ask for limes with my tacos at Mexican restaurants, but they usually turn out to be dry, which leaves me barely any juice to squeeze out. However, the limes Los Pinches GR gave me were really juicy! The little things that bring me joy.... If you're getting groceries at Bridge Street Market, or simply around the area, I would walk across Bridge Street and try some of their food!“
“My husband and I love Mexican food. We love traditional street style tacos and living in Wyoming, there are a TON of authentic restaurants in the area. This is BY FAR the best one. Amazing food, good pricing, and good people. We love it there and it will always be one of my top recommendations.“
“Miss rose is the best my family and I been coming for almost 20 years. She has always been there. Knows my family loves everyone equally. She keeps us coming back. I slipped up went to dennys worst mistake of my life I will drove the extra 20 minutes just for the good service and food. It's hard to find people that actually love their job and sje does it shows. Miss rose will always be a family member“
“Family owned for decades, this is that little neighborhood "Mom & Pop" shop that everyone who loves pizza is looking for.A non-commercialized, family owned and operated local neighborhood establishment, located in Marne, Michigan, between Grand Rapids and Coopersville, with an eye for quality and a product that was better than I've had in west Michigan in many years.Generous toppings, excellent sauce, and one of the best tasting pizzas I can remember for a very long time, and priced right, too.I've rated and commented on many things here in these forums, but if there's one product or business I know better than any other, it's PIZZA. I can tell you from many years of trying different pizza across the country, Rinaldi Pizza & Subs is definitely doing it right! There are many pizza shops between home and work for me to choose from. I don't get pizza very often anymore, but after my experience with Rinaldi Pizza & Subs, they are now my "no other" choice for carry out on my way home from work, when I do.Vegetarian options: Everything is made to order, so you can have it any way you want it.Dietary restrictions: Everything is made to order, so you can have it any way you want it.“
“We are so glad we found this place! What a treasure! Friendly staff and fun music alongside the most delicious Mexican food! You guys: homemade tortillas! Need I say more? Definitely makes the meal every time. So delectable! We enjoyed traditional Mexican tacos and quesabirria fried tacos with the oh-so-flavorful consommé dipping soup. YUM!My spouse also had a gordita.I would like to try the huraches they serve next…they looked huge!Stacey was a great and attentive server!TIP —> the tacos are hefty (especially the quesabirria), so we recommend sharing a big plate of rice and beans and fewer tacos than you might normally eat. You can always order more.Everything was delicious! Check it out!“
“Came in with about 20 of us last minute but they were able to accommodate us without any problems. Service was excellent and food was even better. Everything was fresh and made perfectly, it's a great spot for great Mexican food. Large variety and selections for kids “
“Super cute location. Lots and lots of food options. It's a mix of smoothie and street food and topical foods like tacos and tortas. The owner is kind and willing to explain the foods. The smoothies are freshly made. I can't wait to come back. The hours can be spotty so either call or drive by to double check but other than that 10/10 recommend supporting this small business.“
“Downside: tamales are only available at certain times. Upside: everything else is delightful. One of us had the fajita chimichanga and I had the shrimp burrito. You can see them preparing your food properly in a clean small kitchen. It was delicious, filling, and a good value. I wouldn't bring a party bigger than eight people here, so just bring the small group of people you actually like.“
“I went here for lunch with a friend, and the food was great. The place seems to stay busy, so although it’s pretty bare bones you can tell people know the food is worth it. I ordered four tacos and a bottle of Mundet apple soda. I got al pastor pork and beef tongue (lengua) for my tacos, and it tasted great. There was a side of grilled green onions, and the taco sauces were delicious. I think the tortillas were handmade too, and they were both flavorful and managed to hold up to the generous fillings. I’ll definitely go back again to try their other menu items and also to explore the store next door.Vegetarian options: There were tacos with nopales for filling rather than meat.“
“Pretty much the quintessential Mexican restaurant. Steak burrito, rice, beans, horchata is my jam and they do it well.Kid-friendliness: They put Bluey on for my kids, which I appreciated. The staff was also friendly interacting with my kiddos.“
