“We were amazed at how many different spirits this distillery offered. As a Scandinavian I had to try the bourbon barrel aged aquavit and it was quite simply the best aquavit I’ve tasted. We enjoyed several different bourbons and ryes offered by our salesperson Char and bartender Dave. Dave did an especially great job explaining the nuances between the various bourbons. We ended up buying a bottle of Latitudes bourbon: a smooth whiskey with just the right amount of vanilla notes. I’ll be back to try the Mackinac fudge liquor, which the distillery sells straight up as well as in pudding shots. The distillery has a pleasant tasting room and a nice cocktail bar. Will update this review with a photo or two when I return.“

“I loved every minute of this place. Me and my friend each had flights of wine along with a very, very delicious charcuterie board. The Vineyard is a beautiful place to walk through. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing experience.“

“This place is magical. My husband and I stayed here 9 years ago and again this last weekend. And it was just as perfect. David, the innkeeper, is amazing! He really makes sure you feel special. The chef that prepared breakfast served a beautiful eggs benedict. Not to mention the lovely brunch with Santa event that we were lucky to attend, the food was awesome. “Melinda took such great care of our group. We are Fizz Club members but our kidults and their partners had never been. Melinda took lots of time to explain the various sparkling wines and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very attentive despite it being a pretty busy afternoon in the tasting room. We stayed way longer than our reservation but never felt rushed out. Such a great place!“

“We had a great time at Leelanau Wine Cellars! Beautiful view right on the bay. But the best thing was the service we had. Mark helped us through our tasting, guiding us through the list and recommending selections with stories on each wine. We have always enjoyed a LWC wine that we had found in stores; however, this tasting room is special as you can buy wines not found in stores. We left with a case. We'll be sure to make a stop next time we're near!“

“I have been going to Black Star Farms for over 20 years. Yes my favorite Michigan winery! As a member of the BSF's wine club, I have stayed many times at the Inn also.
have some family friends that came to a wine club dinner about 8 years ago. They use to live in California, visited Napa Valley a lot. took them to 3 + other Winery's, they both said BSF's was the best!!! Good luck in the next 25 years!!“

“We were up north for our annual color tour and decided to stop here for dinner.
Nice place! Really liked the atmosphere. They have a couple TV's set up in case you want to watch some sports while you eat. I think the best thing we got was the arancini my wife got. That was really good.
The flank steak was good. Ribs were pretty good. My friend said his perch was ok“

“You know the breakfast spot is good when you take a bite of -toast- and say WOW. The service was stellar. We arrived at 9am on a Sunday and were seated immediately on the patio. The perfect spot for a warm fall morning! I ordered the corned beef hash with toast and eggs over easy and my husband had the skillet. Our thoughtful server offered us a cinnamon roll while we waited and it was the PERFECT appetizer as we waited about 10 minutes for our breakfast. I’m so glad we said yes because we only ordered savory items and the cinnamon roll was a fantastic addition. Everything we ordered was expertly cooked. The hash was crispy, fresh from the griddle and the eggs were precisely over easy, and I thoroughly enjoyed dipping that knock-your-socks-off sourdough toast in the yolks. It is evident, now, why this place is always packed! 11/10 we will be back.“
