“I love this place. The other day a woman came in and Without trying her food tried to say it was disgusting. Made a Big huge scene which caused some customers to leave. I stayed to make sure nothing happened.And now is constantly harassing them and won't leave them alone. The owner and the staff was professional and tried to solve the problem which the lady was not having. Then called her husband and had him come up later that day to harass the owner, And her employees. Now i'm on facebook and watching this lady, Her husband, And her friend harass this business owner. yes It is very important to say that her husband kept repeating he owns his own business. so I am guessing they are doing this because he needs more business? trying to put her out of business so he can get her customers? I was there and this owner should not have to deal with the harassment from them. sorry you have to. keep doing you and all your customers that know you will keep coming back. I know I will.“

Both the hot & sour soup and Pad Thai were exceptional. My only disappointment would be the spice level. I ordered both items medium spicy--and there was absolutely no spice at all! I was bummed, but since I took it home and not back to work, I had plenty of chili crisp to jazz them up. Still, I expect Thai Medium to have a good bit of heat?? Just fyi.“

I had the egg noodle dish with chicken and my husband had the drunken noodles with chicken and everything was great! I’m weird about chicken at Thai and Chinese spots but the chicken here was very good , the vegetables weren’t over cooked and tastes fresh! I’m very happy to have found a place this good so close to our house.“

“We've been coming to this establishment since it opened sometime around 2001. Thai Orchid is hands-down the best Thai food in Metro-Detroit. A close second is Sala Thai in Detroit. If you know, you know... Highly recommend Thai Orchid. 5 stars. Flavor and service are top-notch. Portions are enormous.“

“Tried Wokabob for the first time today and my mind is blown. This place makes better Thai food than the Thai places. Probably the best Thai fried rice I’ve ever had. Flavor and spice level are on point. The portions are huge. I’ll be eating this for 3 days. We also had the chicken and steak shawarma bowl. Much better than the other places that don’t even make it on the rotisserie. I ordered 2 dinners and 2 egg rolls and the bag I walked out with felt like about 12 pounds. There could be a little more protein in there, a little more chicken with a pad, Thai and a little more beef with the curry dish, but still absolutely delicious. The restaurant was very nice and clean, and the hostess was very kind, attentive, and helpful. Will absolutely come back, highly recommend.“

“What a gem!! This place is amazing for its food service and everything in between. We were a part of 4 during relatively high foot traffic and got great service. My mom is vegetarian so there was ample choices for her and she really enjoyed her food from Tom yum soup to vegetable tempura, spring rolls and veggie rolls. The presentation was great as well and the servers were very kind. The restrooms were clean. The only thing was that they added the 18% tip to our bill and there was an expectation to add more, which I did not appreciate. I didn’t mind the 18% as the service was good. “I've ordered carry-out from May Hong before and it's always been amazing. It's ready when I've walked through the door and piping hot, plus tasty. A personal favorite is the Sesame Chicken. Egg rolls are also delicious!

However, a friend and I decided to dine in two weekends ago. There may have been a rush before us that had just left, but there was only a single clean table available, and one staff person handling all the orders and cleaning.

We ordered, and I waited half an hour--no exaggeration--for a bubble tea. I decided to try something new that night, the honey chicken. No real taste of honey to be found. Stick with the Sesame or Sweet & Sour Chicken since you can't go wrong with those.

Also, the booths? A group of people left behind me and new people came in. Every time someone moves behind you, you can feel it and it's quite jarring when you're trying to eat.

The staff person we dealt with tried her hardest, and she was very, very nice, just severely overworked.

May Hong is still worth ordering from for the food, but keep it to carry-out. Dining in isn't the best experience.“
