“One of my absolute favorite Thai restaurants. I used to live a few short blocks away, but moved a few years ago. I stopped by this evening as I was in the neighborhood. They did not disappoint me. I purchased the Pad se ewe for me and the Pad Thai for my son. Both were excellent.“

“I recently made my first visit back to Bangkok Express in quite some time, and it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane! This place used to be one of my go-to spots to take my Aunt Bertha in between her doctor visits and physical therapy sessions, and it holds a special place in my heart as we approach a year since her transition. We always ordered the sweet-and-sour shrimp (no heat), adding extra onions and shrimp for that burst of flavor!

Walking into the restaurant, I noticed they’re still operating with the COVID-style wrap and cover, so there's no dining in anymore, which was a bit disappointing. However, the warm welcome from the family that runs the place made up for it. They were incredibly friendly, and it felt great to see familiar faces.

“The food is supreme here compared to other Thai restaurants. I try to dine here often. Staff is friendly and The decor is much nicer than many mall restaurants. Pad Thai is very good and better than most others. I love a Yellow curry dish with chicken which comes in a large white bowl and rice on the side. I got the pineapple rice with shrimp lunch portion, and it was more than I could eat. I asked for no spice and it was perfect, deliciously seasoned but with no heat (and lots of fried egg, which I particularly enjoy). I also liked the Tom Yum soup but it was too spicy for me to eat much of it. Highly recommend.

“I worked in Hazel Park and would pass this place every day so my curiosity was piqued. Hands down it’s one of the best Thai restaurants in the area. Do call and place order before arrival, it takes around 30-40 minutes, the kitchen area is quite small.“

I was a little overwhelmed when I looked at the menu but they had great service and explained what the menu options were allowing me to make the right choices.

I ordered the Pad Thai with beef and Drunken Noodles with chicken shawarma. They stir fried the veggies for the drunken noodles fresh (they have an open kitchen). The food came out hot and steaming. The drunken noodles were super flavorful with Lebanese spiced chicken, bell pepper veggies, and included a delicious broth. The Pad Thai was tasty too and I was positively surprised how the middle eastern spiced beef paired so well with the noodles.

The restaurant had a cute diner vibe with a unique combo of wall decor to reflect the fusion it was serving. Will have to pho next time! Looked enticing but will have to come back for it.“
