“My husband and I finally tried Lucky Brunch yesterday morning and I wish we have tried it sooner! Our server was Vera and she was super nice and told us all about Lucky Brunch and the items on the menu. We ordered the veggie omelette and added ham, smoked salmon benedict, a side of biscuits & gravy, and the blintz crepe… a lot of food I know but we couldn’t narrow it down so we had a whole second meal with our leftovers. Everything was great and I can’t wait to go back and try more!“
“This place is amazing! True with the name. The pancakes are absolutely delicious! You don't even need serb on it. It's just so nice and sweet and fluffy! They remind me a lot of the pancakes at Denny's (but obviously better quality)! When I walked in on a Saturday, it was very busy, but I was still treated like family! The owner came by and greeted me warmly & personally and the FOOD outta Dis world! I highly the recommend the Greek oubleete as they were the best I've ever had! I don't recommend the potato pancakes period they were dry and definitely could use some help! Orange juice is delicious and“
“A nice breakfast/lunch place, 1 of 3 locations.Greeted quickly by a smiling lady when we walked in at 11 am on a Thursday. Seated in a big, wraparound booth with several tables. After being open 5 hrs already this place is really clean. Not just the tables, but the seats & chairs as well as the carpet. The menu is huge so I had ask for more time twice from the server. They are really efficient folks. My inability to decide took me, eventually, to the daily special (only $6.25 before 11, $7.25 after) while my son got the Horn of Plenty, a Dutch Baby filled with fresh fruit & whipped cream. The Garden Surprise is a veggie & cheese filled version. There are several other Dutch Baby options as well as the larger German pancakes, crepes, waffles, Belgian waffles, omelets, salads, soups and sandwiches. My son nearly inhaled his fruit-filled breakfast while I enjoyed all my eggs, bacon, fried potatoes & biscuits (with honey, of course) at a slightly more leisurely pace. We'd definitely come back.Vegetarian options: Vegans might have some issues due to their more restricted dietary choices.Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, off course it's kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Could be a bit tight in a few spots but otherwise good.“
“This is a really nice, small, and fresh place. Nicely tucked off street, plenty of parking, and right on the corner. Service was on point and always with a smile, which is always a star in my book. I had the Hippie w/ sausage, Parmesan grits, and a toasted baguette. When I tell you this was the fastest and HOTTEST omelet I've ever had that's no joke. The grits were a really pleasant surprise and went perfect with the plate. The crispy, salty, cheesy part of them was not expected and good. Kudos to the chef. My wife had the latke breakfast, her only critique was the latke's could have used a little more seasoning. Overall the service, price, and look of the place is what we like of a breakfast place. Definitely recommended.“
“I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. Best breakfast food in Michigan in my opinion. Never have I ever had a bad experience, food & service is always on point. If you enjoy pancakes then this where you want to come“
“Really cute inside. Almost a Magnolia type of farm decor. They had an outdoor patio option to sit at as well. Good service. The food was alright, with wonderful presentation.I ordered the lemon blackberry french toast and didn't care for it. Too sweet. My husband's meal however was very good. He ordered the turkey sausage biscuits & gravy with the breakfast potatoes. The breakfast potatoes were phenomenal. They had some spice to them. We tried the donut holes and they were only okay. The million dollar bacon, however, is a must. Not too sweet, with a tiny kick of heat. Our coffee came in an individual carafe, which was convenient, but it tasted sour and bitter. I'm a coffee lover but couldn't stomach a cup if this brew. All in all, I would give the place another try and order a different dish. Hard pass on the coffee.“
“My absolute favorite breakfast place. Great lunch too. The family that runs this place is so kind and loving, I've been coming here with my mother for years. I always get the eggs Benedict for breakfast and my mom always sticks with a good old ham sandwich. Ham is nice and thick cut, super delicious on some thick rye bread! They have an amazing selection to choose from, for breakfast and lunch and I've never tried anything that was bad! The atmosphere is cozy and you get taken care of every time no matter who's serving you. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new diner.“
“Love this little diner. Its ran by a wonderful lady and her son. The food is delicious, as well as the service. Right off of Woodward. Highly recommend the skillets and sandwichs. Its all made with love right in front of you! Come check it out.“
“Went for a siblings breakfast...as always the food was delicious and the service and hospitality was excellent...food came out hot and fast...would definitely recommendParking: Plenty of parking availableKid-friendliness: Highchairs are availableWheelchair accessibility: Doors are large enough for wheelchairs to access“
“It was okay. It had been really hyped up so I was expecting more than what I got. What I had was very average. Average isn’t bad, it’s just not amazing. It’s definitely worth trying. I’ll go back, especially because I always try things twice (because you never know if you caught them on a bad day, or the item you ordered just isn’t something they do well).“
“Today I was disappointed with the quality of the food. I ordered the market hash as I have before, but this time it all the vegetables were over cooked and some onions and potatoes were burnt. My lovely wife wouldn't let me say anything, so I just ate it, but did not enjoy it at all? this was a favorite place for me. I'm not sure if I'll comeback again!“
“Today was a super busy day for them. We waited about 1hour for our food but it was just right on point. I Really loved the food and wanted the kool aid but that's fine I had eggs wing dings and home Fresh potatoes. If you're ever on the east side of Detroit please stop by. It's a small quant place and great food.“
“My first experience with First Watch was some years ago, in Pikesville, MD. I was so excited that they were building locations nearby in Michigan. This visit was just as nice. They were very busy (Saturday, lunch time), so our server was excused for not bringing a couple of items. Of course, it was a bit noisy, but the atmosphere was good. The food was very tasty & mine was dine exactly how I'd wanted it. We had a Salmon Benedict, a classic breakfast (eggs, artisans toast and seasoned potato bites). Coffee was great. I will absolutely return to this or another location.“
“Delicious and artfully presented food. Would absolutely recommend for a weekend brunch; there are enough options to satisfy a variety of palettes, but not so many that it becomes overwhelming or inaccessible if you're just looking for something more basic. I like the layout of this location better than the one in Rochester, but both deliver great food and service. I got the Italian frittata and a pecan and carrot cake pancake, both of which were incredible! Definitely at the top of my list for go to brunch spots!“
“This is a hidden jewel everything was excellent the atmosphere, the food, the price for the food and then the top it off you have a gentleman playing the keyboard and you feel like you’re in some luxury resort somewhere. I’ve told several people about your restaurant and will be back soon. Good luck in all your endeavors.“
“Go early! This small place can get crammed. I had the very yummy strawberry cream cheese topping french toast, based on a staffer recommendation. All four of us ordered something different. Everything came out quick, good and hot. The chocolate-dipped strawberries with the receipt is a nice touch!“
